Great job!!!! My daughter wife and I started ours yesterday, I found this video and watched it, I agree with you about the sanding, I spent 3 hours today on one chair, my poor hands and fingers are tingling as I type, beautiful results!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing. My mother was a woodworker but she liked to do everything and trird it all. Gosh I miss here. 23 when she passed I'm 44 now. You reminded me of her. That's why I said that. Great work! I am a woodworker too but I work on guitar's. Darn nice to see that this transfers over. I know it's teak now too. Lol

I refinished mine after five years. Washed with dish soap and water, sanded the next day, then simply applied Thompson’s Teak Deck stain and finish. Looks like a million bucks.

Looks great but When this wears down and needs to be refinished again your going to wish you didn't put spar urethane . It will all need to be sanded out 100% ..before redoing . Only use teak oil or conditioner on teak . I'm refinishing 60 pieces right now and the cost is 3x more becouse someone used spar urethane .

You need to revarnish before it is obvious that you need to revarnish. Varnishing can keep your teak like new for almost ever. If your teak furniture is outside, keep it in the shade or covered and you won’t need to revarnish. Use varnish meant for boats. Don’t oil. Oil attracts mold and when mold gets ahold of your teak, you cannot cover the unsightliness with varnish and you will never rid it of the mold.

Great video! I just bought a used exact furniture you have but in worse condition. I think I’m going to start with a easy power wash I seen on a different video. Mine furnisher is filthy . I think the people left it outside in a yard for years! Your final results were flawless and stunning! Great job!!

Looks great! I’m a fan of poly, I think the teak oil might make the poly adhere less though.
