    Really awesome stuff, I can't believe how easily that wine and oil got wiped up after treating the table! So great to see restorations instead of perfectly good furniture being thrown out. Awesome results, thanks Mike.

    I have teak chairs that I used your teak clean on and the difference is incredible. They're like new. I haven't tried Triton yet though

      We always recommend using Triton after Teak Clean. It will help protect and maintain your teak though all that life throws at it!

    I am looking to purchase one of those Wagner Electric Sprayers.. I have Trailers with wooden decks that need to be treated. Pressure treated Lumber is a good option .

    I like what the product shows it does. Is there a way to give the wood a deeper color. It looks dull on that table you showed.

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  8 месяцев назад

      This is the color of natural clean teak, a light golden brown. We do not use teak oils because of the harmful effects they have on your teak. Read here: ditecmarineproducts.com/blogs/news/why-you-never-use-teak-oil

    Teak furniture is expensive, so having an option to buy a product that is easy to use and gets your furniture back to looking like new is a game changer. Far outweighs having to replace an entire set.

    I am buying a new house that has a teak deck. It has been neglected for some time and would prefer to sand it down first. If I sand it down first could I only add the Trident product to protect it?

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you may apply once the teak has been sanded down and all previous stains and oils have been removed from the surface. Triton will work best when applied to wood in its natural state as it binds to the wood fibers.

    When do you scrub, when applying or after the 5 minute wait?

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  8 месяцев назад

      When using Teak Magic, you'd apply Part 1 to the surface, let sit for 3-5 minutes, and then scrub the surface. Thoroughly rinse Part 1 off before applying Part 2. After applying Part 2 to the surface, let sit for 3-5 minutes and then rinse.

    Does it work in any wood or just teak ?

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  Год назад +3

      Yes, Teak Clean, Teak Magic, and Triton all work on any unfinished wood surface.

    Does the cleaner only work on untreated teak surfaces?

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  Год назад

      Teak Clean is a cleaner. It can be applied to treated surfaces and will typically remove the protectant on it.

    How does this product compare to golden care?

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  Год назад +1

      Yes, we are very familiar with golden care. Our product is made from a completely different chemistry and formula, which is not water-based (a big difference). From our independent testing, we had a much better and longer lasting protection time frame, and greater UV protection.

    How does triton compare to Star brite teak sealer? That one is cheaper but is it okay for the teak

    • @ditecmarineproducts
      @ditecmarineproducts  Год назад +1

      We get this question a lot and there is a reason it's cheaper. Starbrite is an oil sealant that changes the appearance and feel of the teak. It will trap dirt and dust and will degrade the durability and structure of your teak over time. We have a great blog post for you about teak oil vs Triton protectant: ditecmarineproducts.com/blogs/news/why-you-never-use-teak-oil

    Do you have a similar product for acacia wood?

  • @ra1der5
    @ra1der5 18 дней назад

    Just so I understand…
    Cleaning:
    1/4 left as is
    1/4 Teak Magic
    1/2 Teak Clean
    Protectant:
    1/4 left as is
    1/4 Teak Clean only
    1/4 Teak Clean + Trident Protectant
    1/4 Teak Magic + Trident Protectant
    Both Teak Clean and Teak Magic provide the same result. Both require scrubbing. The difference is three fold;
    1) Teak Clean can be sprayed. Teak Magic should be applied with a brush/roller.
    2) Teak Magic is better suited for indoor use.
    3) Teak Magic is better for areas with multiple surface types… glass, stainless steel, etc.
    Do I have all of that right?
    Would either product damage/stain other surfaces such as composite decking, plastic, concrete, painted surfaces, etc.?
    You demonstrated this product on a weathered table that needed extensive cleaning. What about preventative maintenance?

    Or use one part each vinegar, Simple Green and water to clean. Sealing is good. Oiling is bad-makes teak moldy quicker.
