Fun Tip, grab the entry grade RX 78 as a practice kit. Its great if you are starting out with painting, scribing and other customizations. And you cant beat the price point.
Sadly, way too many people think it's only about scratching additional panel lines and don't even advance to stepped patterns at different depths, hint of maintenance handles that unlock panels in the hangar, tie-down areas where maintenance cranes can connect, adding gaps that show meshes or hinted at details behind them and so much more. Hell, i doesn't even have to be an RG or above. You can even dremel away some stuff from the back of an HG armor panel and insert a mesh in a gap you've cut and give that area a whole new kind of feel.
Didn't realize G Academy was also a channel, just subbed. Additional Tips: Another thing to take into consideration is the design of the suit itself. Each series has its own style, so be sure to work with the existing design. There are also engineering differences, for example between Federation and Zeon suits - where one is typically more angular, while the other has more curved surfaces. You may need to take different approaches to each, in terms of both design and the actual scribing.
woooow i remember planning to get a scribing tool last December because I really want to try scribing but I couldn't find any scriber that is within my budget range so I forgot about it. Hoping to find a cheap scriber soon cause I really wanna learn :D
Thank youuuuu!!!! I am currently in creative block as i dont know what patterns should i make, but this tips surprisingly is really good and i really like the general rules you come up with. I wish you all the best!
What scamming your customers does to a MF Maybe next time he should just do business as a decent person and not use that money to buy his passios project without giving what was promised.
Why the use of carbide? it's not like polystyrene is that hard, Is it just the convinience of not having to sharpen your chisels. Or is it some leftover because the toolso got adabted from something else like inlaying where the hardness does matter.
I'm guessing you're looking to release consistently and therefore are okay with offering shorter videos but for what it's worth, IMO this one could have been longer. This little tease about connecting lines left me hanging. I'd think if someone is interested in learning how to scribe they are going to look for a complete video if that makes sense, not multiple videos about the same process from the same channel :o Production quality is pretty good though! The diagrams etc. add a lot to it!
Need some input please. I am starting to get more into scribing my kits and I have good equipment. Dspiae Push Broach with clamp handle. The issue I am having is that after scribing the lines look chewed up and choppy as hell. All the scribes are within the line and follow the pattern perfectly, however, the lines are looking really uneven especially along the edges.. I don't know if maybe I am using a broach that is too thick or too thin. Maybe all the inconsistency will go away after priming but I can keep getting these results and continuing. Any help is greatly appreciated?????
accidentally over sanding the round part (MG dynames part rifle scopes) almost half of it became concave. can i use sprue goo for filler and recontruct? because I don't want to paint it. i just want it back like before.
Hi, it's me again, PLEASE GOD MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT REPAIRING OUR GUNPLA PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, thank you:)

Did you say practice scribing on my friend's kit?! XD That's how you lose friends! HAHAHA
Hey Kelga, can I scribe one of your kits for practice? Thx
Mixed with cool video shots, we sure can learn a lot from Studio G!

This really inspired me I hope that there will be a part 2
i thought there would be a 15-part video? was that scrapped?
Pretty sad to see no new content from this channel. Was hoping to see that series you discussed.

Awesome content! 👍 Learned some much from all of your video.
This is Helpful... I want to customize my MG sazabi by scribing it first then using can spray paint
That sazabi is lucky you own it
And great content!!
Hey, any chance on the other parts of these series?
Thanks for the guide! I'll follow it through the final result! 😁
Oh, what do you think about dspiae tungsten scriber? Is it good scriber?
Diamond and Cubic Boron Nitrate (CBN) are the only two materials harder than tungsten carbide and the only way to actually grind tungsten into shape
as always very useful and informative
Great video tutorial!
That dr. Stone Reference though 😂 good vid looking forward to the electronic segment. 😏
04:09 "Don't you get it...👌"
(He's [Justin] one of the man of culture, indeed...😏)
04:13 F**k YEAH,
Dr. Stone ☝️
Hi would it be ok in the near coming future if time permits to make a tutorial for basic led installation for beginners.
Let the blade do it's job😎
I want to know how you keep things symmetrical across different limbs. Just measure with a ruler ?
Are we getting part three - fifteen?
When's the next g academy video scheduled for?
Subscribed!
I wanna start scribing. I actually just got the Sazabi and wanna do it justice
Noted. I’ll practice on my friend’s kit first 😂
Any continuation to this video??
Will you be completing this series?
do scriber price really do effect the scribing quality?

what do you mean by 'the line connecting them does not exceed 90 degrees on both ends'???
Do you scribe then paint
or paint then scribe
The one thing I’m really concerned about with scribbing is getting it even on both sides…

You might want to use actual putty instead, but I think it might be possible. Although I do not know the actual state of yours vs the original.
Should not exceed 90 degrees or should be bigger than 90 degrees?🙄
Cambo second
4 months already and no new video?
If my dad sees this he would probably buy another MG barbatos and make me do all the customizing and stuff
Ngl connecting corner is hard, the only i can do is making a smol rectangle
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
You use it for zoids
This is why I just draw then instead lol
Hi, it's me again, PLEASE GOD MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT REPAIRING OUR GUNPLA PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, thank you:)
