I have used the Tamiya on my Warhammer Tau miniatures after priming them with white spray. The black first ran through the lines as intended, but then somehow dissipated in the plastic or surface of the model, leaving everything very stained and the lines were not black anymore. Do you have to apply varnish before using it?

Sadly, way too many people think it's only about scratching additional panel lines and don't even advance to stepped patterns at different depths, hint of maintenance handles that unlock panels in the hangar, tie-down areas where maintenance cranes can connect, adding gaps that show meshes or hinted at details behind them and so much more. Hell, i doesn't even have to be an RG or above. You can even dremel away some stuff from the back of an HG armor panel and insert a mesh in a gap you've cut and give that area a whole new kind of feel.

I bought the same thinner from Amazon and is just not working 😕, it doesn’t clean nothing. I ruined my gundam 😕

Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. I'd like to ask: should I use the pencil, could a layer of top coat help drawing the lines (because of its "grip")? And, could a second layer be useful to protect panel lining (pencil or ink or whatever)?

my most preferred gunpla grades mostly Master Grades( mainly MGEX, the Gundam seed Remaster and 2.0 kits, and as wel as the Ver Ka kits), and my most preferred are Perfect Grades.

I have a question for using the Tamiya panel line black do you need to spray that coat on all the time before using it on a blank piece or did you just spray that for extra precautions?

I haven't tried it, but I think if you have an airbrush you can add some flow aid to the acrylic wash and it will behave much more like the tamiya panel liner. It works by lowering the surface tension of the liquid, so it will flow through the cracks much more smoothly.

Something I learned putting water decals, always buy 2 sets, you never know when one long decal migt be split in half

I don’t understand the sizing. So many tiny 1/144 grades. If I was to gauge the scales it would be like this. 1/144: XS Grades: EG, RG, HG 1/100: Small Grades: MG, MGEX, FM, RE100, Metal Build(figure) 1/60: Medium Grades: PG/U 1/48: Large Grades: Mega, Metal Structure(figure) 1/40: XL Grades: - Personally, I don’t like anything smaller than 1/60 scale so Bandai is losing me as a customer. Maybe the small scales is an Eastern thing?
