I was one of only a few SC fans at that game... freakin amazing. I have to give the Mizzou fans credit, the vast majority of them were actually really friendly, even after the game.
Arguably the greatest come from behind win of all time for my Gamecocks! Never give up, Never quit, Never stop fighting. And Connor Shaw is tough as nails. He needs a statue in his honor after that game....
Not sure if I agree with that or not, although I will give him credit for turning things around. My point is basically that South Carolina is at least a good team now (even if greatness lies in the future) and that we deserve to be in the SEC even now.
Great upset! Vol fan, but I was rooting for you Gamecocks. Was a fun game to watch...especially dat 4th quarter. Now we get a shot at them next week...and I can't wait! Go Vols!
Also the AP Polls matter a little bit this year the BCS is what you need to worry about, but the AP Polls will matter next season, and the many seasons to follow.
USC fan here. Great game. Let's give MIZZ a break though. They are a solid team and are doing great in the SEC. They still need to lose again though. A&M could be that test.
How is SC making the east weak? They have been one of the few teams making a good name for the east along with Florida and Georgia. They've only lost to SEC teams for the past few years, the dominant conference.
Need I remind you that in the first half we shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers, and keep in mind that 96 yard TD you guys had came courtesy of Davis fumbling a play or two before then. If we had scored on those 3 drives where turnovers occurred, the scored possibly would've been 21-7 in South Carolina's favor. Just for the record and just so YOU know..
South Carolina outplayed Mizzou. Even if Mizzou gashed USC Defense they never gave up. If you believe in luck it's Mizzou 4 big home games. A Georgia team that was bleeding and a UF team missing 7 starters. SEVEN.
@ImmaWarEagle As a Gamecock fan, I need to respond to your remarks. While I know that South Carolina is not a football power, as you see it, please think about this: (1) Where was the University of Miami as far as football goes about 35, 40 yrs ago, & how many national championships have they won since '83? Would you consider them to be a power or not? (2) Since 2000, South Carolina has had only TWO losing seasons ('02 and '03). Um, not many schools can say that. Give us SOME credit, ok!!
Oh wait, I keep forgetting that one year Chizik scandalled Auburn's way to the national championship - you did get one over LSU that year. Sorry for the omission.
i am not saying Missouri is bad.I just came to see the highlights because i did not get to watch the game, and i stood up for my team.what did i do wrong?
Well, I'm glad to see that dynasty worked out well under Terry Bowden, Tommy Turberville, Gene Chizik (haha) and Gus Malzone (which I don't think he will have a dynasty at Auburn either) Also given Spurrier's age, any logical person including Gamecock fans would see that he will not be able to build a dynasty at USC, but he certainly could mold a coach on his staff to hand the program off to who might be able to. Thanks though for your objective opinion.
@ImmaWarEagle Spurrier got us to this point we're at now in no way is he holding us back. Before he got here a 8-4 record was one of our better seasons. But when he does retire most likely around 2017ish area I hope we get Mark Dantonio from Michigan State
Then you need a history and facts lesson, Comprehend this....he has the YOUNGEST team in all of college football. Only 4 seniors and one has never played a down.
a 17-0 lead in the 4th mizzou beat them self they should have kept scoring the ball never let up off the gas pedal then they wouldn't had to worry about going into OT
What?! Tennessee and Georgia may be competitive with USC, but before this year we beat them 3 years in a row. We've beat Florida 2 of the last 3 times we've met, and last weekend we beat the team that kicked their ass by 19 points. USC is probably better, but at least equal to these schools.
@ImmaWarEagle...let me say this..congrats on ur win against A&M...now what ur supposed to say is congrats on beating Mizzou..cuz we both beat teams 2 yrs into our conference..ur time is comin in the CockPit 2014..but ur not gonna have to wait tht long til you drop another game
Wrong. You don't see a whole lotta defensive ends running down running backs 10 yards down the field. He didnt give up at the line of scrimmage. Matter a fact no one on that team gave up all night.
Are you being serious? You know South Carolina has the fourth longest streak of consecutive weeks in the top 25, just behind Bama, Oregon, and Stanford don't you? Sounds pretty consistent to me. And please, don't talk about history, because history starts somewhere. Oregon was nothing fifteen years ago, same with Kansas State. Northwestern was terrible now they're a consistent upper-tier Big 10 school. Florida never won the SEC until Spurrier arrived. You have to start somewhere.
1 Mark Richt even said that is no excuse to losing and they couldn't use it as a excuse 2 we didn't have our captain on defense ej if we did probably been able to hold them and win 3 Georgia didn't have any injuries on defense and it was a 2 point game when the second string came in and no even if Florida had Jeff driskel we probably still would have won just probably only by a score or two and Shaw came in when Thompson was not doing so great dylon Thompson is a starter or can be a starter
All the SEC fans hiding behind Bama, Florida, and Auburn talking trash trying to forget their terrible application was denied immediately by Texas so they needed to attend an SEC high school, I mean college.
its just we played a awful 4th quarter nothing to do with Shaw it was all on us and scar got a vary lucky missed field goal other wise we probably could have won that game the luck was with them at that point came down to a field goal and we missed but maty mauk even tho a back up is a vary good QB but we are missing our best player on our team if we had him then the game would have been much different im just tired of people giving excuses to why we won or lost
Besides, don't act like Auburn is a dynasty. Google "greatest college football dynasties" and you'll see that teams like Nebraska, Florida State, and Alabama make the lists, but not Auburn.
@immawareagle consistent!? As someone already said we have the 4th longest streak of being in ap top 25 and talk about consistent your Auburn Tigers went 3-9 last year 2 years removed from a National Championship so don't talk about consistent. Honestly that just wasn't a good argument
If South Carolina was in the SEC West, we probably would do no better than Auburn would, but we're not in the SEC West, so who cares, which brings up my next question: WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD? You need to be concerned about Alabama, LSU, A&M, and Arkansas every year, not South Carolina. I can't understand why people bark against South Carolina's tree so much when we start winning, when these same people barked at us when we were mediocre? WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT, DAMN???!!
I was one of only a few SC fans at that game... freakin amazing. I have to give the Mizzou fans credit, the vast majority of them were actually really friendly, even after the game.
I was at this game i couldn't believe he missed that kick
Such a great comeback, this game was dull 3 quarters and exploded during the 4th and OT. The laces got em in the end
Arguably the greatest come from behind win of all time for my Gamecocks! Never give up, Never quit, Never stop fighting. And Connor Shaw is tough as nails. He needs a statue in his honor after that game....
It's better this way, everyone virtually equal in talent and playing skill. Never fun having one or two teams to run the division
We're certainly not the most powerful team, and I respect Missouri, but I couldn't have been more proud of South Carolina for this.
As a gamecock fan I never thought Missouri was worthy of #5 but now that the game has been decided in glad they were boosts are resume greatly
Not sure if I agree with that or not, although I will give him credit for turning things around. My point is basically that South Carolina is at least a good team now (even if greatness lies in the future) and that we deserve to be in the SEC even now.
mizzou still in better shape with one lost than any other team in the sec east its not over for them just yet don't get your hopes up to high!
It was my birthday yesterday and this win made my night!
Lol during the missed field goal you can hear brison Williams ( #12) say no!
Great upset! Vol fan, but I was rooting for you Gamecocks. Was a fun game to watch...especially dat 4th quarter. Now we get a shot at them next week...and I can't wait! Go Vols!
What a heart breaker if ur a mizzou fan.. I was hoping they would win...
From an Alabama fan, this was a very entertaining game last night
Also the AP Polls matter a little bit this year the BCS is what you need to worry about, but the AP Polls will matter next season, and the many seasons to follow.
I get your point, but I'm not seeing how we're any less consistent than Georgia, Tennessee, or Florida (or Auburn for that matter).
They will not be dominate in the SEC, but I don't think anyone expected that. They will be fine in the SEC and are a good fit.
USC fan here. Great game. Let's give MIZZ a break though. They are a solid team and are doing great in the SEC. They still need to lose again though. A&M could be that test.
Mizzou is lucky with all their home games. UF, Scar, Tennessee and A&M.
What his suppose to be? Your score prediction for the 2013 SEC Championship?
Did the better team lose or win?
Connor Shaw is braveheart
@John Barkley If you think about Auburn is 2 in the SEC because Auburn didn't lose at home, and they lost to #6 LSU not #21 SC
Missouri doesn't suck, it's just 2010 all over again. And Missou is lucky for having every single tough game at home besides UGA.
We're not a powerhouse by any means, but we're on the right track.
That was just a really good game from both teams.
Yep but better for us!!
South Carolina is going to be in the top 5 next season or if not like #7 so I'm proud to be a gamecock
One missed tackle isn't going to hurt him drastically. His pros far outweigh his cons
If South Carolina doesn't belong in the SEC, no teams in the East deserve to be in the SEC.
Steve Spurrier at half time to a reporter, "Were only down 2".
I forgot tell you the truth, thank you for reminding me. Gamecocks 35 Tide 21.
South Carolina outplayed Mizzou. Even if Mizzou gashed USC Defense they never gave up. If you believe in luck it's Mizzou 4 big home games. A Georgia team that was bleeding and a UF team missing 7 starters. SEVEN.

2014 is gonna be the year of the Gamecock boys. I can feel it!
U right, gamecock for life!! Forever to thee!
loiterbro you were wrong
@@godismy1fav ur wrong.....ur team lost again lol
Gamecocks 101 my team? Is undefeated. Maybe next time big guy
No what happened to Bama in 2010 against South Carolina.
Doesn't really matter who won this game, Bama is just going to dominate whoever wins the East in the Championship game
oh no ...... oh yes ! this game is what makes college football great, games like this. You imagine a National Championship game ending like this ? LOL
One thing Bammer you totally forgot about #13 LSU this week and #9 Auburn before they roll all Over Missouri War Eagle
Gotta love it when the holder doesn't know what he's doing
This game pissed me off so much
NO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR MIZZOU!!!! too bad for you...
: D
Whats the chances of our beast running back fumbling two times?
Doesn't matter, because it did.
Wrong. You don't see a whole lotta defensive ends running down running backs 10 yards down the field. He didnt give up at the line of scrimmage. Matter a fact no one on that team gave up all night.
You don't think we almost beat our self with the turn overs? Or is this just a 1 way street?
Florida and Georgia are pummeled with major injuries to key players
I think you're confused with another band of tigers - LSU What's their win streak over you guys now? five? something like that?
I go to school for history lessons, not RUclips. This isn't a game from 15 or even 10 years ago.
Such a painful game my god...
yeah the team that won? Isn't that how it works? The winner is the better team? or is it the loser is the better team now?
What about the 2 fumbles? What if we didn't do that? so I guess that was lucky for you guys.
Oh no!
Oh yes!
WOWW I fill so bad for mizzou
Yeah, because Auburn makes it to the SEC championship game 4 and 5 times in a row.
The Gamecocks may have won the game but Clowney's NFL stock just dropped big time with that missed tackle.
Good luck.
When my dad saw this he went CRAZY and so did I but not like him😁😁😁😁
Never Underestimate a true SEC team!!
Are you being serious? You know South Carolina has the fourth longest streak of consecutive weeks in the top 25, just behind Bama, Oregon, and Stanford don't you? Sounds pretty consistent to me. Dat "oh no!
Then "oh yes!"
Missouri is ranked 9 in the bcs.
true
If Auburn was in the East in the 90's, would they have done as well? Nope, it's all subjective to when and where.
Carolina's back in the conversation for the SEC championship! Go Gamecocks!
1 Mark Richt even said that is no excuse to losing and they couldn't use it as a excuse 2 we didn't have our captain on defense ej if we did probably been able to hold them and win 3 Georgia didn't have any injuries on defense and it was a 2 point game when the second string came in

Dude don't jinx the SEC we could be stopped.
Besides, don't act like Auburn is a dynasty. Google "greatest college football dynasties" and you'll see that teams like Nebraska, Florida State, and Alabama make the lists, but not Auburn.
What are the fucking chances that the ball hits the post like that lmao that shit is wild
Hey AU had 1 bad season. That's it . Now there 11 after being like 60. War Eagle!
#ShawesomeAF
That is the nice way of saying stop replying unless you have something smart to say
Not to sound like an Homer, but I'd have to agree with you
Copper Beech exploded after this one
@immawareagle consistent!? As someone already said we have the 4th longest streak of being in ap top 25 and talk about consistent your Auburn Tigers went 3-9 last year 2 years removed from a National Championship so don't talk about consistent. Honestly that just wasn't a good argument

Oh no, oh yes
i hope tennesee beats mizzu they will help us...so for next week go vol!
And Auburn.
Curse of the north end zone continues.
Yup, for sure haha
SEC Choke of the year
1:04 LOL
Oh yes...I still want the GameCocks to visit Bryan-Denny Stadium so Alabama can get pay back
Laces out Dan
those announcers were so biased.
Why didn't they keep scoring? oh maybe they just didn't want to win this game?
By the way y'all didn't get in the top ten
