@camthesooner123 True. But irony was Bama still got into the CFP every year outside of 2022. And that was only because TCU got in. We know Bama would've beaten Michigan and/or TCU and it would've been a 2nd year in a row of Bama/Georgia for the title and nobody wanted to see Bama again.
@@ericsigersmith2831 A&M didn't beat Nebraska in the 1996 Big 12 championship game, you are thinking of UT. I think A&M's win over Alabama was the biggest win for the program since 1939 against Tulane when they claimed their last national championship. The game itself was extremely entertaining, Alabama was in the middle of probably the greatest dynasty run in college football history and even won the national championship later that year, it was the biggest part of Manziel becoming A&M's first Heisman winner since John David Crow in 1957/the first freshman to ever win the Heisman trophy and A&M was in their first year in the SEC playing for big things so the win was very important. I think A&M might have been the best team in the nation in 2012. This was his biggest Heisman moment, especially the play where the ball got knocked out of his hands into the air and then he turned around and caught it, then turned back around, got out of the pocket and threw a TD.

Yet no title and bama still rolling, enjoy one game as we celebrate multiple titles. Poor you, one game is all you have, and johnny football ended up a loser and gone lol jeez you folks are pathetic.
1st quarter was everything for A&M in this game. They really stalled out on offense after that and missed some easy points in the form of field goals/PAT that could've kept this from ever even becoming the nailbiter it turned into. Still managed to hang on despite handing the game over to Bama with all those missed opportunities. Usually really good teams like Bama are able to come away with the W in potential upset games like this when the lesser program starts handing the win over to the opponent by blowing opportunities.

His scramble where he loses the ball and throws the TD was into the student section endzone, absolutely incredible part of history to watch. PS A&M pretty much just ran the same passing concept for the whole game and it worked every time.
Doesn't surprise me they ran the same passing concept the whole game considering they mostly stalled out on offense after coming out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter, so obviously Bama made adjustments as expected. Some of it was missed opportunities in the form of bad play from their kicker, but their offense definitely didn't look as impressive after the 1st quarter ended. Huge 3rd down conversions repeatedly in the 1st quarter but rarely after.
This game no question, solidified Manziel's Heisman. Going on the road and winning against the number one team in the nation and playing just outstanding.
Johnny football was just about the best college QB (player) ever. I mean his stats r unreal 1,400 yds rushing as a freshman. Possible goat of college QB's.

no. He simply wasn't good enough for the nfl. He had a backyard style of playing which can work really well in college where you can evade 2-3 guys and then make an incredible pass or escape the pocket and make a big run. Unless your mike vick level speed or the size of big ben you can't really play that way in the nfl. Johnny manziel is only 5 11 and not that big. He was somewhat fast but not lamar jackson/mike vick fast. A lot of the things he tried to do in college was never going to work at the pro level, because he'd usually get caught/sacked immediately.
He was nowhere near good enough for the NFL. Those throws he made in college are because of the garbage defense. At the pro level, you’re up against the best of the best defenders. And the weakness of his play style got showcased big time
This was a memorable game and amazing upset. Hardly. With a hurt offense and horribly bad defense, it's not surprising that Bama finished with a Sugar Bowl victory over Kansas State by double digits. Still not a bad season honestly. It's going to be a grind-out defensively game here in the rematch. 2-9 against Bama in the last 11 matchups, so I guess you deserved that one but there's going to be another L in the stats for A&M for 2023. It might be by 3, or 23, but it'll still happen. As long as Milroe doesn't make stupid mistakes, it will be a win for Bama.
the two sides of manziel: Unstoppable when you allow him to use his athletic ability, but when it comes to reading defenses and playing from the pocket, he was wildly inconsistent. Great throws, but taking a lot of sacks too.
No matter how much i try to get back into CFB, it's just not the same as this era. Johnny Football, De'Anthony Thomas, Montee Ball, Manti Te'o, Geno Smith and Tavon Austin, Kadeem Carey, etc.
This version of Johnny Manziel, for that one year....was THE most exciting player in college and I defy someone to name someone that year that was better. Cause Johnny did something to a Nick Saban coached defense that NOBODY had been able to do on a national stage, and that was absolutely torch Alabama throwing and running . 2012 Manziel got Sumlin a boatload of money and a monster renovation of Kyle Field
If Johnny Football was drafted today by a solid NFL team, his career could have been legendary. The way the NFL is nowadays where having a dual threat QB is starting to become a meta, he would be insane.
I'm a horns fan and I have to admit, it was a experience and a fun game to watch going for A&M. Our little brother beat the Tide that all claims untouchable! Way to go Aggies! But hook em' horns!

Little did he know, that long pass to Swope then that TD pass to Johnson to go up 29-17, those 2 passes changed his life forever.
He is hands down Texas AMs greatest quarterback, fact 🏆🏈😉👌
Manziel gave Saban, Nightmares, Heart Attacks, Seizures and Terrets during that game.
who here after club shay shay
1:28, such a key significant play, even the commentators were amazed.
Who's here after Taxes A&M beat Alabama 41-38 game winning Field Goal
Johnny was so electric in this game. A good memory from my college years.
the two sides of manziel: Unstoppable when you allow him to use his athletic ability, but when it comes to reading defenses and playing from the pocket, he was wildly inconsistent.
After Alabama lost against them a couple of minutes ago a classic game and a wild finsh 38-41
Here after Shannon sharpe interview
Same 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Perfect timing too
this game, lsu vs bama 2019/2022, and auburn pick six and tenn vs bama are the 4 greatest games in my opinion
One of the most fun to watch college football games of all time regardless of who you root for.
I came here after watching his interview with Shannon sharpe
This aged well lol and Johnny was at the game last night.
The way the NFL is nowadays where having a dual threat QB is starting to become a meta, he would be insane.
lmao wtf are you talking about he wasnt drafted in the 70s, is this your first year watching football?
No because he had issues off the field that would of kept him from becoming anything great.
He admitted himself that wouldn’t be true.. but man this kid had some talent
@@OGBarry16 college level talent yes
@@Loots1 perfect college player.. him and Tebow lol
I'm a horns fan and I have to admit, it was a experience and a fun game to watch going for A&M. Our little brother beat the Tide that all claims untouchable! Way to go Aggies! But hook em' horns!
thx big bro 👊👍
Sad how nobody talks about how tough A&M’s defense played
Just the way Johnny Football Runs with Style he was one hell of a runner with the football and he looked stylish doing it.
