Arkansas' punter is carrying their special teams as of right now. Kyle Ramsey can't seem to make it in the big moments going 6/10 on the season and being in the hot seat for his job a couple weeks.
As an America who moved to Australia way back in the mid 70s I soon realised that the punt is a mainstay of Aussie Rules Football so every kid learns to punt. The big difference is that in Aussie Rules you go for distance not hang time because the players are spread out over the field the kicker just has to get as far as possible down the field and your own team members have a pretty even shot at catching a maximum distance defensive kick. At shorter distances aimed punts are used to pass the ball forward to an open man because you can't throw the ball by hand in Aussie Rules the way you do in American football. So out of all those kids playing Aussie Rules a few are outstanding kickers and can do well in American football if they have the opportunity. They just have to make the simple adjustment of kicking the ball higher to suit the American game. And yes it is satisfying to see and Aussie Razorback! As to courage the Australian game is so chaotic and improvisational compared to the American game I think this bloke is just doing what comes naturally. Watch any Aussie Rules game for 10 minutes and you will see the origin of his field instincts and why having testicular fortitude is a given. Interesting video
"those spies just got 2 seats to the front row of a comedy show because Bale was all about the funny business" - gave this vid a thumbs up just because of that line & delivery. Hysterical! 😂
Reinforced carbon fiber isn’t all that strong when under pressure (compression) or while being stretched, but it does hold up to a TON of heat without falling apart… so yeah, I guess the title works 😂
As an Aggie I must say it was a beautiful fake punt. I’m glad our defense was able to get the win. I’m sad that this overshadowed our punter. Arkansas began most of their drives within the 10
I was living in the States in the nineties and boldly predicted that in twenty years all NFL punters would be Australian because there was one in the league who was doing well. Obviously I was out by a few years but it is starting to look like teams that didn't recruit Australian punters recruited poorly.
Love the effort. Tip of the cap to Arkansas who is the best 2 loss team at the moment and could beat half of the current top 25. Much better off without KJ. Gig 'em!
What's the punter supposed to do about that? Start focusing 100% on making the returner muff the punt? Turn every punt into a successful trick play? You might as well just trot out the offense every fourth down if a perfect punt still isn't enough.
@@thatonewriter8043 It wasn’t on the punter lol calm down. It just must suck to make the best punt of your career only for it to go the other way immediately.
Those balls are 100% made in the USA, Austin Bale is from La Jolla, CA and helped the La Jolla Vikings to a state championship game in 2019. Maybe the Aussie reference is to another Arkansas punter, there's more than one. LFG Austin.
Coach Pittman said the fake FG was a fake pass to 40 and he was supposed to run behind number 5 who was supposed to kick out but A&M rushed off the edge unlike the other times plus this was after the fake punt u can’t do a fake FG after a fake punt chances of succeeding are very slim same game
So...After falling down a rabbit hole of material science...steel is far tougher when it comes to impact resistance and durability. Carbon fiber, even reinforced carbon fiber, can be brittle and prone to cracking under heavy, repeated loads, while steel can absorb those impacts without fracturing. Only so much you can do with plastic...Plus, steel's ductility allows it to bend rather than break. So, when it comes to 'balls' under pressure, it's still *steel* for the win.
For the fake field goal attempt, it was definitely poorly executed. If you watch there was 2 big mistakes; #5 getting off the line too slow and missing the edge rusher and #40 climbed past the linebackers and blocked the safety. Had those 2 things been done correctly it could have been house based on Bale's athleticism.
Wait, the title says "Reenforced Carbon Fiber" but the commentary says "reinforced steel". Which is it? Oh, neither one exists? Maybe he was (almost) thinking of steel reinforced concrete. There, I fixed it for you. Oh, and nice fake punt/run.
If you can't take a hit, then you shouldn't be on the field. A punter running the ball isn't ballsy. I was a barefoot punter and due to bad snaps ended up running many times.
Somehow you missed the fact that the A&M punter put 7 of 9 punts inside the 15, but hey the Arkansas had two good plays and totally poops himself on the fake field goal
Sorry but I'm an engineer and can't help myself You don't reinforce steel. Steel reinforces material like concrete. Again, sorry but that stuck in my head.
You know composite materials famously fail under pressure. I would rather my balls be made of solid titanium grown by crystalization to minimize the defects (a material is only as strong as its defecta). That is why all those people with degrees were telling the Titan Submersible bafoon that he would die, and he laughed all the way 5 peoples graves.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the 7 punts inside the 10 by the Aggies freshmen punter. That fake was excellent play for sure but expected you to give a shoutout or something for the punting on the other side.
Only thing I hate about the hogs they always start giving up after the 1st half. If only they would put there heart into it and get their heads out their ass they might a top team. Until then the only thing that sucks about being from here is the hogs
I’m a proud American amigo🇺🇸 love the video though
Big dog, I don't know why I thought you were an Aussie, great game though my boy.
Ayyye great run hoss!

I don't even watch football but your delivery style kept me filled with suspense. Nice job. 😜😜😎😎

I saw this live and I was thinking, “I bet I’ll see Isaac talk about this tomorrow”

It’s no coincidence that these plays have been happening more and more since the introduction of Aussie punters into the game. 😮
That punter on Chicago is a huge game changer. He had a great game today!!!

Your punter will get a video in time, he was incredible
When you gotta do what you gotta do! Bravo!
He probably grew up playing Aussie Rules Football, which is an incredibly tough and intense version of football.
The punter is an athlete for sure

That will never happen. There’s some good Australian kickers, but there’s still way more American ones
A&M’s average starting position was at their 36 yard line, compared to Arkansas, who usually started at their 17.
Trust me I'm going to talk about A&M's punter
@@IsaacPuntsa&m is a dawg in special teams bro how 😭
The Arkansas players have shown their capabilities this year. The coaching staff? Failures all around. Too many to count.

Turns out American plays aussie rules

Indeed. Those are the 2/3rd best in the game rn. They're 1-2 in FBS. The giant from Montana State is the man currently.
To bad that field position punt lasted a total of 10 seconds before Leveon Moss took it all the way down field.

You should check out the punter from ccsu. Boomed an 84 yarder against St Francis, and is also built like DK Metcalf 😳
I think you misspelled "reinforced"
Nah, he prolly had enforced those balls before. Just had 'em enforced again.

are they steel or carbon fiber?
How does one "reinforce steel" especially in a ball shape?
I don't know what I just watch. I think it was a college game played backwards. It didn't work for me.
What exactly 'reinforces' one of the strongest materials on earth?
carbon fiber is the reinforcement... and a ball made of CF isn't strong compared to most metals.
Badass
Chernobyl balls
