@@HenryZhoupokemoni believe he hit the left goal post an it doing on the bottom part of the goal post but he didn’t make it since it doinked it the opposite way
Did yall realize how high the ball was as it passed by the post? It literally skimmed the directional weather flag hanging at the top of the post. From 53 yards out, to still be at that elevation going through the post means he could've kicked a 65 yarder probably
Bates won the game but it was thanks to the Lions defense playing lights out that it was kept close enough for a comeback in the first place. They definitely need most of the credit

completely perfect lol the inside line of the hash marks is in a straight line with the inside of the goal posts. These were actually 2 of the greatest kicks ever done. If not THE 2 greatest.
Bates is the Cinderella story, played 1 yr HS, never kicked a FG in College as KO specialist, the only reason he was given a chance to kick a FG in the UFL was it was too far for the No.1 kicker (64 yds).
Arkansas had Jake Bates as a backup to the now starting panther's kicker Cam Little. And now Arkansas is barely 50% on FG for the year and miss both of these guys terribly. Arkansas would easily have 2 more wins if either guy was still on the team instead of in the NFL.

I'll say this - I never once thought the Lions were going to lose that game. Quite a change seeing as I spent all of the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s expecting the Lions to blow 30 point leads.
They need to lose one to take some pressure off - before the game I thought they would lose - but then yeah like you after they scored the first TD in 3rd quarter figured they would pull it off.
