Good informative video. You give great key tips on not to break trims and stuff but I would never let you touch my car. The main reason is that the flathead screwdriver you use as a pry tool and you are rough with removing. Very good but you are a beast with that flathead! I love watching your video. I will never allow you to get near my car.
Haha thank you, my main business is a used parts business so we always take things apart and never put them back mainly on parts cars. Im more gentle on my personal cars. Thanks
This is my issue. The sunroof opens and pulls the shade back in to it's pocket as it should. When the sunroof closes, when nearly closed it does not grab the shade and pull it forward a couple inches so that it can be pulled closed by hand later. Is this a fixable item? If need to remove rivets etc., I have tools and can do that.
@@etwasbauen6615 I'm super slow. It took me much longer. Note to anyone buying a brand new headliner, you will likely find yourself having to cut out holes to match your model. BMW has light traces in the back of headliner that you can follow and cut, but I would have been lost without comparing with my original headliner. Scary making cuts to an expensive part. Highly recommend getting the original redone by a professional. It would have been cost prohibitive having a pro install a new headliner. A brand new genuine BMW headliner and rear shelf is not plug and play.
Great video. I need to have a replacement sunroof cassette installed and would like to ask if you first removed the front wind deflector and water gutter (plastic piece on the rear end of the sunroof) before removing the sunroof cassette assembly as i did not see them when you physically removed the unit from the car Can you advise?
Hi i just unbolted the complete assembly from the roof, there wasnt any other parts that have to come off first. The wind deflector is in the cassette. Thanks
Hi there, I removed the torx screws from the front pillars except for one that is stripped and it’s such an awkward position , any idea of what I could do or ho would I remove it ? Thanks

I recently replaced my e46i with a new sunroof cassette. Your video was great, thank you.
Glad it helped! Thanks
Excellent. My sunroof is puking the driver side cable out of the front corner. The French finally have their revenge on the Germans! Lol. 🤣
Very nice detailed video thanks for the tutorial content
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
Nice video man!!! Thanks
Glad you liked it!

is there a seal/gasket for the whole assembly that needs to be replaced? Or is it only the rubber seal around the actual glass panel?
Thanks for sharing. How long did it take to remove the headliner? How much more time to remove the sunroof?
Hi roughly 30 minutes, once the headliner is out an extra 15 for the sunroof give or take. Thanks

We use a small torx socket on a 1/4 drive ratchet.
