I recently ran 143.63 miles in 24 hours at the Desert Solstice invitational, The freezing cold and wind were horrible factors I really wish it had been indoors! I'm curious how many more miles I can run
Never heard of an indoor ultra! Must be so much more gruelling psychologically - least with the outdoor one's there's the best scenery. Kudos to these legends
Thanks Marc for all your efforts! I have not much to add for the race after the video. The recovery has been very good during the spring (as it sometimes is with sub-par performance in the race)
What a fantastic video! I was really drawn in watching Toni go through such a physical and mental struggle. Congrats to him for the 24 hour grind! I've done a 12 hour... I think I might have to try 24!
Thanks a lot Kelly, Toni has just started his training to another 24hr event, but an outdoors one this time. I myself need to try this, I've done 22hrs but in the mountains on a trail run, so totally different. Let me know when you sign up for one :)
Thank you Parker, I'm glad you enjoyed watching it, I enjoyed being there and putting it together. The experience was a valuable one. Have a good one mate
Running with Marc I have never and it has actually crossed my mind a few times the last months. However, unfortunately all tracks are closed here in Montreal for as far as I know.
Thanks a lot Matt, it took me a while on how to figure out how I wanted to tell the story, but I got there in the end. I could envisage you doing one of these events.
Hopefully in september again after 2 years a 24 hours race in NL...otherwise bislet 24 hours in Norway in november... Still motivated to reach my goals 💪💪
I can't comphrehend how hard this must be both physically and mentally especailly on an indoor track with no variation in terrain or scenery. Curious also how one recovers from a feat like this.
Yes I think you hit the nail on the head there, it is quite the challenge, it was great for me to be there and experience it as a crew member. I'll be sure to try and get that in a video :)
Congrats on your 24hr race! Great doco! was wondering what your training was like leading up to the race and what your highest kilometer week was like before your taper...again, congrats!
Does running for 24hrs sound like something you'd want to do? or have you? I am certainly tempted to try it now!
Definitely up for the challenge !
Yeah for sure - as long as I know I wouldn't get injured lol and if it was not on an indoor track!
Ofcourse ☺ 💪💪💪💪

Yes Sam, I'm sure it is! not sure I'm ready to bite that apple yet :D

See you there next year! :D
Hyvin juostu!

I have been waiting for this video. It exeeded my high expectations! Well done!
Thanks a lot Tuomas, that was nice to read. Hope you are doing good.
100 miles in 24 hours. Amazing! Hopefully one day (soon), I'll be able to get my 100 miler down under 24 hours!
I have no doubt that you'll be doing it Vince, keep up the good tuning you're doing :)))
@@runningwithmarc Thanks, Marc!
Love the edit and documentary you’ve created
Thanks Dan, it was an experience to be on the other side of things also, so even just going to help someone is something I can recommend.
Really well done, Marc.
I think your best, yet.
Really good story
Thanks Edmund, it was fun to be a part of Toni's race and experience, so I am glad to have brought it to others to see and enjoy.
This was great!.. well not the run, but the documentary :)
Cheers Janne :)))
I love the Suunto-spirit, if you run just 166k in 24h and brag in the office you'll be asked what kind of problems did you have :D
What a great video and... Toniiiii !!! 💪
Thanks Damian, and yes Toniiiiii 💪
Great video Marc 👍 and amazing Toni 🤩 - just go and do it 😅👊
Thanks Sandra, just go and do it indeed. 👊
a very inspiring video! thanks for sharing. Finland is such a fantastic country with fantastic people
And a 24 hours race is one big food festival i always say......
It certainly is a battle!
This was such a great video! I was engaged until the end, keep it up Marc!
Thank you Parker, I'm glad you enjoyed watching it, I enjoyed being there and putting it together. The experience was a valuable one. Have a good one mate
Very nicely documented!
Thanks Jonathan, have you ever done a 24hr track event?
Running with Marc I have never and it has actually crossed my mind a few times the last months. However, unfortunately all tracks are closed here in Montreal for as far as I know.
Great video! Having never run more than 10 hours I’m fascinated by these longer formats!
Aaron Kennedy is like to give it a crack also. For sure looks like a challenge!
Really really well done Marc. I love the video and both Toni and your narration were very engaging. My favourite quote was 'You versus your body!'.
Thanks Craig, glad you enjoyed it, yes thats a great one, or I liked 'I just want to go home' :D
Ha ha, that was number 2 @@runningwithmarc
That was simply brilliant, Marc! A story told well is a gift! Well done! Are we seeing the next Billy Yang emerge?
Thanks a lot Matt, it took me a while on how to figure out how I wanted to tell the story, but I got there in the end. I could envisage you doing one of these events.
Running with Marc Yeah, I can see how the edit would be difficult and take time. You nailed it.
I am doing the javelina jundred 100 it is 5 /20-mile laps under 30 hours and it going to be hot out the high 80s or low 90s during the day.
Yes I have heard and seen that race, looks like a brutal one, look forward to hearing how it goes :) Marc
Hopefully in september again after 2 years a 24 hours race in NL...otherwise bislet 24 hours in Norway in november...
Still motivated to reach my goals 💪💪
I'm excited to follow your journey Remco :))))
Cool I would love to do a 24 hour race when I turn 18 it looks so fun
Fun, hard and a real accomplishment. I've yet to try, think I'll try 12hrs first.

3x 3weeks 200km 1week 100km - that's from Toni :)
@@runningwithmarc thanks Marc and thanks Toni!
This is one of my goals before I retire lol
good job it only takes 24hrs to complete then ;)
Great to see Ben Goldacre is a runner too!
😅
big wow for ultra athlete, I can only do 10k in an hour.. 😵
Thats really good, we are all at different phases, so what you're doing is great.
قريبا سأقوم بمغامرة مشيا على الأقدام 100 كيلومتر في يوم واحد..
