I was there where James congratulated me on reaching my furthest run ever! I ended on 105 miles, what an awesome event and well done all and you lot are all so friendly in real life!
@@runningchannel not bad all considered! Looking forward to race to the stones in 2 weeks. Loved endure was the race of a lifetime for me and the yellow shirt which I still can't believe I have!
I ran Endure 24 a couple of years ago and my tactic was to run for 8 minutes and then walk for 2 minutes. It worked well for me as I managed 100 miles in 22h 30m.
Such quotable moments in this video lol: James “who knows what’ll happen next? More running, it’s the running channel” and Tom “everything looks like a bed right now”
This event has 'great vibes' written all over it. It's really got me in the mood for my own 24hr race (as part of a team, not solo) in a few week's time.
One of the best feelings in the world is finding that the little orange alert from RUclips is a new Running Channel video. This is good for my soul!❤🏃♂
This has to be one of the best videos I've ever watched. You are all amazing, I love the banter and the support you all have for each other. Be very proud of that video
I haven't ran a 24 hour race, but I've ran 100 miles in 22 hours and I believe my strategy worked very well for me. I would run for 10 minutes, then walk for a minute (my course was flat, otherwise instead of a time schedule I would've planned on walking up every hill). To make sure I stayed on top of hydration and nutrition, I tried to drink and/or eat on all of my walking breaks.I never sat down in a chair - leads to lactic acid buildup. I tried to move efficiently through aid stations. Every moment you spend standing still will increase the time it takes for you to cover more distance.
I did Endure 24 Reading last year, it was during a heatwave…I Managed 90 miles which was 30 miles further than I’d ever ran before! My tactic? Walk the hills, crack out the poles to help the legs by the evening, eat little and often and just keep on the course. Had a little sit down after every loop in the solo tent on course. Fantastic event! Would have been great to do it this year with you lot out on course too!
I've done Endure 24 Reading twice, but both times was in a team of four on rotation and did 7 laps each time (as a team we covered over 200KM). I have always thought about go back and doing it solo, but 3 other mates also doing solo is a great shout for the company and competition! great work as always everyone, you all deserve a promotion!
I am "running" from Sunrise to Sunset for charity in August (about 14h20), so this video is much needed inspiration! Well done, everyone! Great vibes throughout.
Loved the video! Was so nice to meet you all at Endure. Ran quite a bit of lap 1 with Mo and he’s the nicest guy. You’re all lovely! So glad to have this video to go back and watch whenever I need to remember what an incredible event this was.
Have to say that seeing you on that lap and calling Sarah and Mo “The Walking Channel” wasn’t my finest hour… well done on getting around. We’ve done this even for 10 years now and it rocks…!!!! Well done all 🎉
@@runningchannel we did good though, despite our fancy dress and partying with the Hoff.. Team1: 40 laps Team2: 33 laps whoop! Our faster runner took the lap record with 27m 34sec… not bad for a trail loop..!
Well done Tom, I was there doing my first 24 hour event (as part of a team) and you were the only one that I saw on the course, until the end where I saw you all finishing.
I ran Endure this year, and managed to get s selfie with Mo & Sarah on their last lap. I alao saw the team all together at the end, and Tom looked broken 😬 Well done all. Great video, and race. 💪
Congrats to you all, what an absolute blast to watch! We definitely need to rope Andy into an ultra! This format is my favorite. My first ultra was a 12 hour, 4 mile loop, with an aid station that would rival most restaurants! I brought a chaise lounge, and would sprawl out for 10 minutes stuffing my face at regular intervals. 😂 My favorite parts are always the people, the atmosphere, and the food!
Great effort! I’ve only ever done one 24 hour race, but as part of a team!! I learned that I never want to do another one 😂 Congratulations, you all did brilliantly!

I ran the Conti Thunder run 4 yrs on the trot...brilliant event...24hrs thousands of runners 10km laps...solo and team events..5 laps most i ran in a team of 6..a.was a tough hilly course with a long wood section...best bit running through the night with hundreds of head torches glowing all around moving guiding you on the way...camping with around 100 of my local running club..brilliant fun...well done all great vid.
I’m fairly new to running and didn’t realise that events like these existed! This looks like torture but SO MUCH FUN 🤩 it’s like a festival for folk who love to run 😅 run the night away instead of dance the night away! I’d love to do one of these. My goal as a runner is to run further not necessarily faster so this would be right up my street. Go at your own pace - you against you! Fab vlog of the event. Big fan of the running channels YT and podcast! X
Well done all of you! These fun challenges and seeing the true love you have for one another are just a couple of things that get me out the door! The UK is on my bucket list of places to visit and WHEN I do, I’ll be sure to plan it around an event that I know you’ll all be at. Ultimately the London Marathon, but who knows when that’ll be based on the low percentage of the lottery. Cheers and well done again by all!
Brilliant video, not sure I could have a sleep lol. I ran 106km race in Huizhou last April, 50km of running and hill hiking plus 57km of hike/jog downhill. It was around 6200m of climb. After 19:30 hours we were done and I mean done lol. When we got back to the hotel, my running partner’s room had been given to someone else, she ended up sitting on a sofa in the lobby till the staff got out of bed! I don’t think I could have got up and running again if I’d lain down to sleep 😂 well done all of you, and definitely a promotion for Tom ;).
Hi, we did Endure 24 and we saw Mo and Sarah go past us when we were on our 20th lap (160k) We didn’t realise it was you until it was too late and didn’t have the energy to shout hi before you both disappeared down the trail. Our tactic was to try and get 10 laps done asap which we completed by 9:20pm. Then get some rest and get food on board and get ready for the night.. We managed to grind out the final 10 laps and finish our 20th lap at 11:31am. We only noticed the running channel gazebo on the 19th lap as well
You all did great, but I have to agree with james; Tom was the winner here! He absolutely knocked it out of the park considering his experience compared to the rest of you guys. Really makes me want to do a 24h race, but right now I have bum knees and have to be patient and careful about my training.
