- Everesting is a trend usually reserved for the cycling world but this week we sent a team to Eryri (Snowdonia) to see if they could summit Everest in 24 hours.
Watch as presenters Sarah, James, Jess and Mo with the help of Garmin take on the Black Diamond Yr Wyddfa Snowdon24, with 10 runs up the famous Welsh mountain to have climbed Everest!
Can they do it? Stay tuned to find out…

“Welcome to the Walking Channel, we’ve rebranded.”
😂😂😂
Brilliant commentary. lol
😂😂😂
Jess seems like such a fantastic addition to the team! Amazing work Sarah, Mo, James, and Jess!
That’s great to hear thank you!
Amazing video guys! Been looking forward to this one! Jess is a great addition to the team, such a great energy! Well done everyone, smashed it!!
Team!! congrats! you all did amazing!! I love how this is not Mo's usual thing but he still did it with a smile here and there 🎉 Sarah always cracks me up and James makes me so emotional watching and rooting for him 😢 I love Jess, she's also a lot of fun! yall did so good 🎉
Really glad you enjoyed it! 😁 what should we take on next?
Once again, another challenge conquered by the TRC team! Nice to see Jess take on such an epic challenge for her first with the TRC. well done one and all.
Thanks! Where would you like to see us next?
The Lakeland 100! Ballot opens 1st of September 😉
Well done team TRC!!!!
Amazing effort. Big kudos to Mo, for taking to the trails in the day and night 👊🏻. Trail running is awesome 👌🏻
Look forward to your next adventure 😉
Come to Sweden in November and do the Kullamannen bu UTMB. 20, 50, 100 or 160 kilometers 🤟
Ooooo great suggestion!
I was just telling my friend about this channel and its podcast and how i was excited for this video and BOM video. So excited for this group of people. Jess seems like such a good addition and extremely relatable. Great video ❤
Really glad you enjoyed the video and the rest of our content 😁 your support means so much ❤️
What a wonderful adventure! I'm exhausted. I would love to see you take on the West Highland Way Challenge Race.
Great video!! Great job, that looked like so much Type 2 fun!! I loved what Mo said... hating it until the finish, then loving it, as well as how crazy friendly trail/ ultra runners are! It's an atmosphere that you have to experience to believe.
Personally, I'd love to see toy do a Man V Horse style run (VT100 ??) or a Skyline run like the Glen Coe!
Amazing content as always from TRC, can't imagine going up and down a hill/mountain throughout the day & night multiple times. Impeccable teamwork and awesome collaboration with Garmin for this challenge!
Really glad you enjoyed it! What should we take on next? 😅
What a race and what an epic performance by all of you! Jess fits in so well, great to see.
🤗Loved the challenge and the outcome🤗
Such an epic video!!!
Aw man.. I did the ultra that weekend, didn’t realise you were all there, I’d have come to cheer you on 😂 Was a great weekend, and much better weather than last year. Well done all of you.. we see the 24hr people going in and out when we’re waiting to start.. luckily I only had to run down the Llanberis path only once.. although, my legs were probably just as tired and painful as yours. 🎉
Congratulations! 🎉 such a shame we didn’t see you but hopefully we will at another event!
Words cannot express how much I loved this vid. This kind of thing is what my running buddies and I love to do. I loved seeing the fun, smiles, and delirium of these events! 😍😍😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it! What race would you like to see us take on next??
@@runningchannel you could always fly to America and join us on our Ragnar team in September since we are 1 person short of a 4 person ultra team. 😁 Or you could join a race as TRC that you had to travel for, like Sarah's Tokyo marathon, but as a team event.
Wow I’d love to give that a go 😮 you guys and gals did brilliantly 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Well done guys. That was an awesome effort 👏🏻💪👊🏻
love it , I ran up and down it for charity with Chris Ford & co a couple of years ago so totally empathize re The obsticle course of people , especially on a downhill. It is so important to set off stready , because the 3rd qtr (where it is a little rocky) , will take it out of the legs if you do the first half too hard, and then to do it in the pitch black, some of that trek is slippy underfoot . Very well done all :🙂 👏
Well done, everyone! You've done really well.
Love the video! Jess is a great new presenter too!!
Way to go team!!!! Congratulations 👏 I just LOVE this Channel ❤ 😊
Thank you so much!!
thats tough. 12 hours in and hearing you're halfway there. I'd imagine for people thats in good shape it would almost be worse with breaks, so they become stiff and never be able to fully recover
A '"local" favorite of mine that I would LOVE for you all to try someday is the Ragnar Reach The Beach Relay! It's a relay of just over 200 miles that starts in the mountains of New Hampshire and finishes on the seacoast. I grew up watching every year as runners came through my town so it's on my bucket list to do someday!
That is such an epic, memorable weekend. You have to REALLY like your teammates, being crammed into a van, sweaty, sore, and tired for 2 days! 😂 (Then again, my 2 experiences were with smaller teams. )
Great effort guys, all the hardships of trail running, hills, rocks, dark and delirium! Loved it. I’m down for Mo to do 9 ;). Get out to China, there are a ton of great ultras here with a lot of ascent and descent involved. Really pretty scenery to compensate though :).
Epic! Love the channel, gives me so much motivation 😁😁
Really glad to hear that Mike! Have you got anything lined up??
@@runningchannel i’m in week 4 of the 5km training plan from Runna 😅 so trying to improve some speed.
Great video...seems like an awesome challenge
Not an ultra, but I'd love to see the team take on a 'Beau Miles' marathon more to see what tasks people undertake in between runs.
Thinking of trying to do it myself soon!
I’ve been thinking of doing a 13 mile version over two days. I don’t really want to run all night.
Great suggestion!
Fantastic achievement well done.🏃♂️
Amazing effort guys!!🏴🏴
Thank you!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I run trails and hills for the peace and solitude - that human traffic jam would've reduced me to Run Rage! 😆🙄
Run Rage is a hilarious term 😂😂
I never even imagined that this was a thing, but Wow! it’s something I would love to do. Well done guys, I’m going to integrate hill training into my workouts from now on. Camaraderie very much in evidence throughout, keep up the incredible work!
250th like, well done all, epic, shame they could not have cleared the paths for the runners , 😉
ive heard about this in the podcast, good job and congrats on your ultra!
Well done all of you! I don't know if I'll ever be able to run in the dark, especially somewhere as challenging as that. Thanks for a great video!
What’s your favourite time of day to run?
@@runningchannel Definitely a morning runner because I know I won't do it after work 😄
You guys are crazy. Fantastic work.
We will take that as a compliment 😂
@@runningchannel I have some good news. My stupid hip has gotten so much better that I actually managed a 21km run the other day. 4,5 years of agony. Not 100%, but I WILL run a marathon again. It's destined to happen. Maybe London :-)
Feeling really inspired to get out on some Ultra trails…
Maybe TRC should look at The Lap (summer for fun, winter for a tougher challenge)! Good luck!
I’m running my first ultra in September, the Ultrapirineu 100k. Would be epic to see you guys race that, such a beautiful course!
Great video team - would love to see you all come to NZ for The Wild in December - the GOAT Courtney is popping on over to do it... how could you not? Jess is super cool too - welcome Jess xx
James has his eye on Tarawera 100 but should he be looking at the wild instead?
@@runningchannel "as well", not "instead". I'm stepping up to the Tarawera 102 from the 50. Definitely worth coming over for. :-)
@@geoffwnz 100% "AS WELL". 🙂
Awesome challenge, well done ladies and gents!
Thank you! What would you like to see us take on next?
@@runningchannel Stranda Fjord Trail Race in Norway would be epic. They've had 100k courses for the last couple of years, but this year the longest route is "only" 48k for some reason. 3850m elevation gain and some fantastic scenery. It starts in a week though, so you better hustle! 😂
Come down to Cornwall for the Arc of Attrition - 50 or 100 miles with some fantastic coastal scenery (by day - not so pretty at night!) Need to get entered early so probably looking at January 2025. Cornwall would give you a great welcome.
Well done everyone, that’s a crazy amount of elevation!
My bucket list ultra is the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, AB - 118km through the Rockies, carrying a special coin to give to the grim reaper for a boat ride across the river during the last leg (like Charon and the river Styx). Maybe someday!
This is absolutely incredible, I’ve walked up snowdon twice and that was hard enough! The ultra I would recommend is the EnduranceLife Classic Quarter. It’s such a beautiful course but south west coast path so it is tough! And you can relay it 💪🏻
Looks like a lot ot fun! 😂Congratulations and pls do this again🎉
Solo or all together again…?
Got to be solo head to head next time.
@@runningchannel seeing you all together was great, so the more the merrier 😀
Dartmoor 100 could be an interesting one for you to try?
You all did so well. Remember seeing your runs on Strava and was looking forward to seeing this - didn’t disappoint 🙂
Thank you guys. Great effort
Dartmoor is beautiful so definitely on the list. Who should take it on?
@@runningchannel Anyone brave enough 🤣 although Sarah is the one I find most relatable - she is still way ahead of my ability and experience yet, but where I hope to be in the future. I think if I see her do it, I can see myself having a chance….maybe?, in a few years 🤣
Great teamwork! The altitude is much higher and quite a challenge for anyone. TRC should try a trail race in Arizona or Colorado in the US.
GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS , GREAT VIEWING AND MAKES ME SMILE WATCHING YOU GUYS AS ALWAYS, BRILLIANT!
THANKS!
I'd like to see some of you do the E101 or the E250 of the eiger ultra courses. Phenomenal courses with phenomenal elevation gain!
It would be fun to see you guys come down to Australia and do one of our ultras, how about the kunanyi Mountain Run here in Hobart. Certainly photogenic enough for a great episode and a really tough run, it can be done individually or as a team.
What an amazing challenge, well done all. If your going to do an Ultra, why not try ‘The Wall’ next year. It would be great to see you there.
Well done folks! I'd love to see someone do MDS ❤
James has already done MDS, who would you like to see take it on?
I'm happy to take someone's place for the next time .... providing you fly me out from Australia!!!
What Ultra to take on - I'd say definitely revisit Eiger UTMB! James has unfinished business there, so anytime he feels ready, I'll be there rooting for him!
Have next year…?
@@runningchannel I'll be there! :)
This makes me feel so much better. I only have to do it once for the international snowdon race in July 😁👍
That's awesome
Not an ultra but would love to see RC at Man vs. Horse! And if you come to the U.S. would love to see you at a Ragnar race!
We definitely would love to be there too! Such an amazing race
Which one of the ragnars do you do? Perhaps I could join you someday?
YES, Man V Horse, in Wales or America, or the VT 100, which also runs both horses and humans simultaneously! Such a cool challenge, I hope to both run and ride it in the next few years!
Love it - what a fantastic event!
Im really curious what hill “hill score” would have been in Nepal in May for Everest Marathon (which btw TRC *need* to take on for the epic footage!)
Kinda surprised that you guys made this video, even though Hill Score still has some things to be worked on(mostly rebalancing), but still, keep it up!
If you ever come over to the US I'd love to see you guys do the Smokey Mountain Relay! 207 miles point to point with a 6 person team through the beautiful Smokey Mountain! I'm here if you need a team member!
Having just completed the Lakeland 100 (miles) last weekend it would be amazing to see someone take this on. Such an immense challenge, not only the hills and terrain but also the weather! It was absolutely wild 💨 🌧️ ☀️
Or, Lon Las Ultra in October still has places available 😉 253 miles along the length of Wales in 88 hours with almost no support, come join the fun!
Congratulations on an incredible achievement! We would love to take on a 100 mile challenge at some point, who would you like to see do it?
@@runningchannel I reckon James and Anna would be able to take it on together 💪🏻💪🏻 so much easier when you are running with a pal
Not an ultra but a super fun bucket list one, seven hills of Edinburgh, ~25km with 700m of elevation. Super fun sightseeing.
That was epic! Here's a challenge: 100 Meilen Berlin, where you run the entire circuit of the Berlin Wall.
Oh wow!! That would be epic
Love the video! For challenge s it. Ishtar be nice to see James do a 2nd run on the eiger101
He is tempted so maybe in a few years…
A little late to the party but hey awesome effort guys. What a fab team event!🎉❤
Thanks!!
I’d like to see one of the hosts do a Bob Graham Round support and maybe show how to do a good support as a mule or a navigator!
Any multi day Ultra would be amazing to watch with your teams footage, editing and conversations
You should try take on the Ben Nevis ultra up in Scotland, that would be fun to see!
Come over to the other side of the pond! My vote is the Javelina Jundred. The elevation isn't as killer as the most famous ultras and folks can do the 100K (or the 100 mile if they're feeling brave).
Ah the teamwork vibes are real. 😎
A 200 mile ultra with one of the girls:)!
200?! Which one would you want to do?
@@runningchannelWild Horse 200s are amazing races, brilliant support, really generous cut off, beautiful (and brutal) terrain.
Would love to see you guys have a go at the Cleveland Way ultra in North Yorkshire. My partner and I are slowly picking off sections of it this year (just walking) and heard about the ultra event; Having started taking running slightly more seriously, with my first official 10km race this weekend, the idea of having this event as a distance goal is growing on me.
NYMAC do it as a relay in June - its a great event
Incredible work. Andy conveniently busy for this one?! 😂
Washing his hair…
Wow, Jess is so fast and so full of energy and positivity throughout.
Update from my comment below, having Race'd The Train in Tywyn last weekend, you should cover this event. 1st half of the course is lovely, after the turn around point its like a course designed by Laz! My cockiness that I was keeping up with the train vanished in the next mile. End up 30 mins behind the train.
Would love to do this!!!
Might have to try this on my own.
Just the once though 😁
Great video and welcome jess . Id like to see the presenters take on a really hot ultra ( death valley?) and a really cold one (artic? ) Or the fan dance, sas qualifier ,in wales
For ultras, in 2024 the c2c Ultra Marathon is brand new, has a 30 and 50 mile option, and is mixed road and trail. Would love to see you guys give it a go :)
That was really fun to watch. The feeling of being a team really came through.. thanks all.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Appreciate the effort with pronounciation and giving Eryri/yr Wyddfa prominence, diolch yn fawr iawn!
I’d love to see one of you do Ultra Trail Snowdonia next year. Myself is doing the 50k there next year, so see you then 😉
We were there supporting last year, an incredible race 🙌🏻
What a challenge! Jess was great in her first video too !!
I'd love to see someone from the running channel do the UK Berkeley Marathons in Sept. I'm doing it for the second year and it's loads of fun with that definite "is it even possible" element
There’s a UK version?! Is it organised by the same guy?
@@runningchannel no it's organised with the blessing of Laz but separate. Based on Berkeley, Gloucestershire. Happy to strap a go pro on......
I'd love to see someone from The Running Channel take on The Coastal Challenge in Costa Rica.
Well done ! My partner won the ladies race :-) is an epic race
That’s amazing!!! Wish her congrats from us 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow well done guys. I think someone should do the west highland way race.
my god this was brutal and fabulous viewing!! Only 8.5k likes to go ;) x
Lakeland 50 or 100. My friends just did it. Unbelievably hard but unbelievably awesome
Amazing event! Could one of you take on the Bath 200 mile tunnel challenge?
We’ve actually been looking into that one! 😁
One of the Hardmoors ultras!
Any one in particular??
There are a bunch of Ultra's ypou could do. You should come up north and try a race in the "Hardmoors Series". Personally I am thinking about doing "The Hardmoors 60" thats just over 100km, it Starts in Guisborough and ends in Filey. Also the "Salomon Serpent Trail", "The Lap" in Cumbria or a race in the "Lakeland Series".
Here a suggestion for a trail run for running channel: NUTS Ylläs-Pallas
OMG what a climb 😊 well done to all 🏃♀️
Love to see someone do the Tarawera Ultra in NZ
It’s on James’ bucket list!
Well done that’s a tough challenge, someone should try Hardrock 100 definitely a bucket list race of mine and you’ll get you’re Everest
Wow, what a tough challenge. You guys are such a great team!!! ❤ Well done on your first TRC challenge Jess! 👏🏼 How do you get look so fresh?😲
We think she might be a robot or a superhero…
@@runningchannel 🤖😂😂
Would love to see the running channel take on the round Isle of Wight challenge. But I'd also love to have them coach me to do it myself :)
Are you considering taking on the challenge?
Yes - I've got back into running (thanks quite a lot to watching you guys) after 10 years since my 2nd London Marathon and have gained some weight and so am regularly running 5k with a running club but doing really well and have lost a load of weight. I would love to aim for the Isle of Wight
Ultra as a major goal eventually possibly the two day daylight challenge as I think that would make for a more interesting video -@@runningchannel
Well done on using the correct names! 👍
Thanks! 😊
How about the Devon coast to coast ultra marathon? 112 miles non stop 😱
Barkley marathon!
Who would you want to see take it on?
Sarah u should take on the khardungla challenge!!!
Well done guys, how about doing Wendover Woods 50k night ultra. ❤
