Star Wars Theory I thought you weren’t going to talk through lol.
Well - that was pretty darn IMPRESSIVE!
Most impressive...
Does sort of mess with Machete order of film viewing though...
Storm troopers?
Why do people rip on Hayden? When he says “I hate you” you can literally feel it, it’s insane. And Ewans acting that whole scene is brilliant.
Because they didnt give him great dialogue but he executed what they gave him perfectly in my opinion
@@BonurChamp Hayden was perfect when capturing the rage Anakin had on Mustafar not just with the dialogue but with his body language.
Hayden's job was to play a processing character, someone who is constantly thinking, I thought he portrayed that well, I think that scene in particular allowed him to fully express his acting abilities so you could see that he actually does have some true expression. Also some lines for Anakin were poorly written. As an actor I think he's not bad, not great either, he definitely gets a bad wrap though for sure.
his facial expression is basically always the same and his tone of voice barely changes throughout the two movies he's in. when he tries to convey emotion it's hard to take him seriously, and the writing obviously doesn't help with that. he honestly just does not come across as very threatening to me and i cant see him being a young vader. he looks the part and that's really all he has going for him to me. thats just my opinion and i realize online im in the minority
@@koalificated I agree, though idk I guess i liked that about Anakin. He felt very mysterious to me because I interpreted that sort of _uniform facial expression and tone_ as him being hard to read... I would hate an actor that was very animated playing Anakin's part I think it wouldn't fit as well.
I saw someone in the comments say, "Imagine what these guys could do with a disney budget."
Just IMAGINE
If i find your comment stealing my comment what happens does the universe implode?
just like $20,000,000 and they could make a movie 10 times better than the last jedi
FoxRNG prequels are amazing man, they’re what primarily inspired the fighting in this video, if you’re a sequel fan boy than you’re not a real Star Wars fan boy
@FoxRNG no need to get triggered mate, but in my opinion the prequels are not "badly written turds" and are in fact 10x better than the sequel trilogy. Yes, the prequel dialogue is at times shit, but if you sit there and tell me that you think the sequel trilogy is perfect, that it does all the old and new characters that it introduced justice, then pal you really do have a screw-loose. The Disney trilogy completely ruins everything great about the last 6 movies and just made this shallow mess all for money, though sadly people like you are too shallow to see that.
What I meant about you not being a "real SW fan" is that the whole story is about Anikan's/Darth Vader's redemption ark in freeing himself from the emperor. It's done so well throughout all 6 films, but then Disney just wanted money. You understand that they literally didn't even have a story written even when the Force Awakens was being made (which in my personal opinion is the worst one). So yes, they deserve all the hate they get, I know the prequels aren't perfect, but they at least had an amazing story to tell.
However, I suppose if you like them you like them and I take it you were introduced to Star Wars through the sequels, but you have to be open to criticism, especially if it's a film series like Star Wars.
FoxRNG chill out buddy no one insulted you why are you so hurt by something a guy said online? (Especially when he is absolutely right😂)
You know what I just realized? The creator of this even took into account Vader's and Obi-Wan's respective fighting styles, as Obi-Wan spent most of his time on the defensive, and Vader on the offensive.
yeah it's a masterpiece, this is what happens when true fans do things just for the love of it, unlike those retarded who run things at hollywood.
Ikr
While I do like that in this fight, I actually would have preferred it to be the other way around (for the start at least). I always liked that in ANH Obi-Wan was the aggressor and Vader was being passive. It really exemplified their mindsets going into the duel.
Obi-Wan had never planned on beating Vader, he knew at that point that Vader was far superior to him. His only goal was to keep Vader distracted so Luke could escape. He also knew that pressing the offensive would likely catch Vader off guard, since Vader is used to a defensive Kenobi.
Vader, surely thinking about Mustafar, wasn’t going to let his arrogance get the best of him. He approached cautiously. Waiting to see what Obi-Wan would do, because he isn’t trying to play directly in Kenobi’s hands again. So he felt Kenobi out. And once he realized that Obi-Wan was running out of juice towards the end, that’s when he pressed his offensive.
That’s gotta be the one complaint I have with this fan film. Vader just tries the same thing Anakin did expecting a different outcome. Not that it really would have mattered in the long run. It’s just a small detail I really like about the original fight.
Yup. Vader's Form 5 Shien vs Ben's form 3 Soresu.
This is some good Sh!+
Roel Morillo form 5 is Dem-Soh
Crazy how this one fan reimagined scene is better than the entire trilogy Disney put together.

avenger1212 I like ten old one better, Vader is probably in his 40’s now, has sever burns all over his body, has all 4 limbs cut off, and has shitty cybernetics to compliment it. Someone like him should not be moving so freely and look so flexible. As for obi-wan I guess they could of made him more flashy. But Vader should be slow and powerful, like the way they did it in that new starwars game. Each strike simple and powerful

I love that yell Vader does after Obi Wan says, "only a master of evil." He is so fed up after waiting for 20+ years and just absolutely loses his cool.

Same man
What I love about this is that Obi gets ONE hit in and Vader just beats the shit out of him for it.
Same thing happened to Luke. No one touches Vader's suit.
Saturn314x Facts
I remember luke touching vaders suit alot.
@Luis Alejandro Victory was never impossible for Obi-Wan - He may have lost the razor-sharp edge he had honed for the clone wars thanks to 20 years of exile on Tatooine, but he was still a seasoned, master combatant. If he was quick and merciless, Obi-Wan could have scored a theoretical upset victory through a risky offensive strategy. But Vader was even more cautious than usual, and Obi-Wan's goal was never to push for a combat victory, but to hold out long enough for Luke and co. to make their escape. Kenobi only used force (pun unintended) early on to test Vader and make him more cautious. As he began to tire, Vader was just warming up and getting a bead on him, so Obi-wan was forced to rely on his legendary fortitude and skills to hang on and not get cut down too early, as we see in that tight hallway section, where Obi-Wan is scrambling around Vader trying to stay out of his crosshairs. And finally, Obi-Wan is running out of strength and options, while Vader is still going strong thanks to his cybernetically enhanced endurance and he's finally got his adversary's style pinned down. Then, as they stay locked at a distance, a flick of his wrist, and Vader delivers a sudden precision cut to Obi-Wan's shoulder, nothing deadly but quite debilitating. Then again, this time to the leg. Kenobi falters, and as Vader goes in for the kill, he unleashes a telekinetic surge. It does little more than create distance, as Vader is too wary (and too big and heavy) to get caught off-guard like that, but that was all Obi-Wan wanted. Kenobi called upon his willpower, and stood one last time. He knew that Luke was poised to escape, and that his purpose was fulfilled. He surrendered to fate, allowing Vader to cut him down, but not before concentrating on the techniques taught to him by Qui-Gon's spirit, and ascended as a spirit himself, able to return and provide guidance to Luke even after death, becoming "more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Softis Neleris you make some good points. But I personally believe that obi wan really didn’t have much of a chance of winning even if he was younger.
One thing I LOVE that they've been doing with Vader lately, is whenever he's in a Lightsaber Duel with someone, each strike looks like it wieghs A TON... like at any minute one of Vader's Lightsaber strikes is just gonna shatter his opponent's Lightsaber!
Which actually makes sense as red kyber crystals actually have a small chance of overpowering regular lightsabers. Plus Vader relied a lot more on his ferocity in the suit because he didn’t have the same endurance and agility
@@lukeharris1473also i am pretty sure that jedi and sith add some force to their strike to add weight to it, cuz well their blades other wise have 0 kinetic force as well, vader is master in force especially telekinesis, him basically having always stronger strikes makes a lot of sense
If this was what was in the theaters back in 1977, lets be honest. None of there hearts could handle how fast its going, the strikes from vader, the rage, and the quality. They would've all had heart attacks. This is truly a Work Of Art

Epic fight scenes ,Vader was epic
Can't a fan film just be a fan film?
That’s because we actually love the SW universe, unlike Disney and Lucasfilm.
Disney made Vader a terror through comics, rebels and Rogue One. This fan creation doesn’t work in the original context and betrays Lucas’ vision of “two old men” dueling.
this was epic, but it looks fan made, if this was in theaters people would riot at the quality of it. choreography and effects are cool and all, and mood, but that is all that is trying to do, a film/directors and producers need to take into account many other, more important things.
as someone already said said here, its a fan film, let it stay a fan film,
because it does that well, (if they grow to become part of Lucas films/the Disney team in charge of making star wars movies, then that would indeed be interesting, but i highly doubt it’ll make things much better, at-least not in the way you might think.)
this clip was fine, for a fan film, i can't imagine seeing something like it in cinemas though

Hayden is amazing
He wasn’t given the best lines, but you could feel hatred, resent, and anger, but also the sadness and regret
@Cactus Juice Except the actors in the OT made that dialogue work. People can say Hayden was good all they want but a good actor can make even the worst of dialogue gripping.
@Cactus Juice He didn’t, though. That’s why he disappeared from Hollywood. Just because you have an unpopular opinion that you like to present as a fact doesn’t mean you’re right. The fact that Hayden Christensen got bullied out of Hollywood is evidence that his acting probably wasn’t good.
@Cactus Juice How old are you? Hayden is a terrible actor. That’s why his performance was loathed by a majority of the audience when the movies came out. gAmE? sEt? MaTcH.
@Cactus Juice Wtf are you even saying? You’re not even using proper sentence structure and your argument is jumbled with redundant, irrelevant remarks that don’t even make sense.
@Cactus Juice What facts are you presenting? All you’ve said is that you think Hayden is a good actor. That isn’t a fact. You’re the one arguing that he didn’t disappear from Hollywood when he 100% did. That’s why people always joke that George actually lit Hayden on fire during filming. Because he’s disappeared from the industry. Game? Set? Match.
Hearing their voices in the background... Powerful... Its so damn well done it hurts every single time.
Perfect mix of new and old. Vader’s fury, speed, and anger are spot on for what you’d expect from the last confrontation between these two. I also liked the implementation of force powers into this fight. There wasn’t an insane amount but enough to make it feel even more intense. The effects were pretty great too for what they had to work with.
Tbh I loved it but I feel the force pushes and subsequent CGI looked really bad(by Hollywood movie standards, for being fan made it's obviously superb) great WIP tho

Vader didn't change his style in Kenobi, he fought like he did in Ep. 3. He's not supposed to have full shoulder movement after the suit.
This version: what you think you and your friend look like when you duel
Original fight: what you actually look like
This s*it put shivers down my spine, no joke. ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION, KATHLEEN?!
And the echoes of their voices from the past?! That was freakin' INSPIRED.
"And the echoes of their voices from the past?! That was freakin' INSPIRED.". inspired indeed. it really conveyed the weight of the moment and really helped encapsulate the tragedy of anakins fall to the darkside. this short film was genuinely a thing of beauty. this is art from the soul
This was better than SoTP imo... Not trying to hate but not trying to lie.
I also liked how Vader moved. Almost like he was fighting in power armor, not just his normal suit.
Dom Lovez Candy at least she has a gf, can’t say that about you
It ruins the reveal that Vader is Anakin before ESB by having Anakin’s voice during the duel. That’s if you watch the series in release order or hatchet order.
Imagine how people would have reacted to see this in the 70’s
i'd rather have what we got.
@@TheWeepingDalek lol ok. OT was amazing and virtually flawless, but that fight was just not good. Their moves made no sense, and Vader fought like a cripple.
@@grogu9906 don't forget the aim from the stormtrooper in the beginning of ANH.
@@heisenberg5570 yeah lol
70's was limited at the time, so the slow lightsaber duels were understandable. Now with the growing of technology, this version is a more accurate representation of it IMO.
I loved the energy of vader and obiwan, I loved how vader fought with so much hate every strike was a killing blow where as obiwan defends much more. A beautiful end to such an amazing character.
I like how they added Italian and German longsword techniques in the sword attacks. Looks much more serious.

This makes me wanna see all the og trilogy fights reimagined
Luke vs Vader in empire on bespin and on the Death Star in Jedi
Cheesy Danish empire one was perfect it's not all about being fancy
Freedly Beedly Boop maybe not
But seeing how well this fight was remastered I’d still love to see the others redone like so
Plus with this being fan created there’s no harm done to the actual movies
the problem with that is that Luke on bespin was so inexperienced you can't really make it cooler. Vader was mostly toying with him seeing his capabilities. The Death star one would be hard to make considering some of it was them talking and Luke avoiding him. Cool concept but a whole reimagining would be difficult to pull off.
Cheesy Danish Watch the fight in the throne room. The first parts of it are as fast as any Prequel fight
Damien Mealey plus Vader was never really trying when fighting Luke. They could however remaster the Death Star battle
I liked the violent one handed fighting he does, matches the novel's and comics!
Rewatching this vid i realized something. The attention to detail on the special effects are superb. In some ways rival the current times. The way the light off the lightsabers reflect off of vaders armor, and even off of obiwan u can see blue and red off both them in different parts of this video superb. I really love the shot of vader when u could actually see the lightsabers in the eyes of vader. Great stuff

@@darkmatter1721 LMAO FEMALE KENOBI 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly there’s a part of me like that’s the original where you can feel so many moments where Vader fears Obi-Wan and is overly cautious. Obi-Wan knows he’s toast as soon as he sees Vader with saber drawn across the room. But Vader has his own moments where he appears cautious like, “There’s no way this guy is going to get me a second time.”
Feel exactly the same, despite it being far from a flashy fight I felt the original showed Vader's growth. As cool as this fight is it just feels like a rehash of the Mustafar fight where Vader is just doing the same thing but hoping for a different outcome whereas in the original he was extremely cautious trying not to repeat the same mistake of letting his rage blind him.

@@brayden2254eh he was winning that fight though, he just tried that jump because he had been walking obi wan down

it would also be cool if they did this to most of the OG trilogy fights, then splice it into the actual movies without having it look cheesy.
One thing I really like dude is, play back of Anikan/Vader's torturing memories.
"I hate you!" "You where the chosen one" from their last battle. That properly stirred the emotions.

They got Vader's mannerisms right too when he told Kenobi his powers was weak inches from his face. He likes to get in someone's face and stare at them curiously behind the menacing mask while breathing heavily. The choreography was very good too and looked like a real fight and not a dance like in the prequels but synchronized at some parts.
I always felt that the original trilogy had slow lightsaber fuels and this is just amazing and lives up to my expectations of a duel in Star Wars
“I’m gonna like my own comment. HEH HEH HEH!” I spit out my water laughing.
While the entire thing was amazing, what surprised me most was how fast the actor playing Vader was able to move in the suit.
I've always heard that David Prowse couldn't move that fast in the suit but the actor here moved as if the suit wasn't a hindrance at all.
That was probably due to the materials used (if I’m not mistaken, the original armour was made of fibreglass). Nowadays, there are more options available to make props and costumes out of in order for them to be lighter and more comfortable.

I absolutely LOVE this remake of the Vader vs Kenobi fight! It was even better than I was expecting it to be. I would loose the voice overs from Revenge of the Sith at the end though as we aren't meant to know he's Anakin at this point yet.

@WillFanofMany To be honest I didn't have a tantrum when George refined the movies. I have a copy off all versions. Once we saw the saber duelling in the prequels it feels correct to depict a more fleshed out aggressive scene in A new Hope. Hey, but each to their own opinion.

It’s amazing just how well they did both saber combat forms, with Kenobi’s singular skill, while atrophied heavily, in the defensive stance of Form III and Vader’s shift to a style which placed a greater kinetic strength behind his strikes to complement the way he enhances his aggressive fighting style with his hatred.
The circle is now complete! When I left you, I was but the learner, now I am the master!
You're the Master of Evil, Darth!
It feels 💯 like a true continuation and conclusion of the battle on Mustafar and ties in Episode III with Episode IV beautifully!
Also this is one of the only scenes from A New Hope, that didn't stand the test of time because of the effects, so this is perfect!
This is how the original looked to me when I first saw the duel. I hadn’t seen a lightsaber before, and I loved it!
Thats was well done!! Wow, I never seen Vader so pissed. I agree, this version really captured the rage he felt. However, I think the elderly Obi Wan would've been quite rusty and not as athletic as shown here.
The original version was a weak fight because unskilled actors were used. Not stunt doubles. Alex Guinness was no youngster and Dave Prowse admitted he wasn't good at fencing. So the result was what we saw in ANH. However, by ESB, Mark Hamill was a good at learning the choreography and he had the greatest swordmaster, Bob Anderson, doubling for Prowse/Vader. So that fight scene in Cloud City was much better.
Keep in mind Dooku was older though

Damn that looked awesome!!! Must admit never had I thought the film needed to be updated. But, this felt right, looked right. Why did George Lucas not do these type of treatments to the OT as opposed to the 'special edition' versions.
true - the OTs could be even more niiiice~ if theyd updated it -
So I have something to say about the dueling style here. Each trilogy had its own unique spin on dueling. Prequel dueling was extremely fast and had an art form to it. OT dueling was more traditional and less flashy. Sequel dueling was slow and heavy, with each strike having gargantuan weight to them.
This reimagining brings all of those styles together beautifully and makes a style of its own that combines the best aspects of each. This is the ideal dueling style
