almost 2 years ago (jan 2022)I was hospitalized because of a broken arm this video and the takeoff tutorial helped lighten the mood for me, thank you dcs sport.
I have never stopped on a youtube video to comment in regards to the production, but with you being a smaller channel in the grand scheme of things, I feel inclined to let you know along with the many others that the quality of these tutorials are fantastic. I appreciate the concise explanations, all delivered in a professional standard that allows beginners to move into understanding the entire aircraft. If this type of work isnt your primary focus, I would strongly recommend it, permitted you enjoy making the content.
Hey, Just wanna say thanks for making these A-4E videos. I never really looked into the DCS modding scene because I thought it was all reskinned F-15's and the like. Seeing the work that went into this craft is impressive for a free mod and I am sure to give it a try now, all thanks to you! This is my favorite era of aircraft to fly, where the computer helps but doesn't do everything! And it isn't as quirky as the Viggen's cartridge system, so I might actually be able to get some flying in rather than all the accounting work a Viggen requires before you take off :).
Gotta hand it to you. The opening with the 80's style intro is absolutely Mint! and bang on from every training video I ever watched in the military! Thank you for doing these tutorial series for the A4!
Very helpful and simple with a clear explanation. I hope besides AAR, you also provide tutorials related to Air to Ground and control tips / tricks for this aircraft. Good Work. Thanks!
Hello great video, love this little giant of an aircraft. I’m retired Navy and Vietnam veteran. I remember the A4 very well. May I ask what in your opinion is the best video to download and install the latest version of the A4. Thank you and well done.
Great video thanks. Do you know what the "NAV PAC" on the BDHI is used for, and also do you know what the #1 BDHI needle does? Haven't seen a good answer on that so far.
Excellent explanation I'll soon will be joining the DCS community not sure about what spec computer to purchase, any recommendations would be appreciated. Absolutely navigation will be my primary learning step. Good video and two the point 👌
Hey man, just wondering if you're planning on doing anymore tutorials on the A4? I've recently been trying to get to grips, and trying to look for a hand with all the weapons systems! Thanks for the great tutorials so far, really helped:)
I know that the TACAN in the A4 mod is a bit of a code hack since the devs don't have access to all of the DCS internals and I was wondering are there any limitations or special considerations when setting up AAR missions with the A4?
There are not (as far as I know). A2A TACAN is a bit of a mess in DCS right now as it is, but head on over to the discord and see if you can get a little better answer than from me!
For those wondering, if the doppler sea/land switch does not match your underlying terrain the built-in drift is doubled in the sim. Don't ask what happens in real life as I don't know. 😅
Hey @DCS Sport, Can you please make a video on other radar modes like Terrain Clearance, Plan and search mode, Also can you show us more on adding wp in flight
@@SportDCS yep ,not easy is "EASY WORD" 🤣,in practical people make turn to catapult and suddently realize they cant turn back gear in time the A-4 make lop and then BULK! 🤣 But still whit all this I realy love what you did for us all >W< I hope see more of you'r works in future >W

Well I’m glad you got that broken wing fixed and hope you’re back in the virtual skies!

Navigation? I just use f10 map and the knee board for all my real life needs
Lol
Just like daddy did in Vietnam 🙃
As an F-16 pilot once told me,"If you not cheating your NOT trying"
Woooooooo, yeah baby that’s what I have been waiting for, That’s what it’s all about, whooooo!

Phenomenal work. Perfectly illustrated and easy to follow. Thank you.
Forgot to sub last time but you've definitely earned it, don't worry.
Hi, algorithm. This channel rocks. ;)
I like to think of it as a person. Al G Rithm
Your Tutorials are top class. Thank you for the great effort and content.
There are reasons why it takes 3 years or so to make a competent Navy/Air Force aviator. Don't have the patience. . . This kind of video helps.
dude you are a godsent your tutorials are so informative yet so easy to understand
excellent tutorial! thank you!
I especially love the intro! it's got that old school training/documentary vibe to it!
The best tutorial I have seen on DCS, really clear and educational
Thanks for covering this aspect of Tacan navigation!
Great presentation style and very well produced! Lots of fun to watch and informative.

Best video for downloading and installing would be by my buddy Sidekick65 - ruclips.net/video/yt9iu7wKWrg/видео.html
Nice work. Thanks!
I still can't believe this is FREE
This is excellent. So clear and on point. Thank you!

Great video Sport! Do you mind if I share this with my coworkers? (Keep up the good work)
What is the background song used in the intro (the one before you roll the tape)? It's so dreamy, I need it in my playlist
I’ll have to go back and check. It’s a royalty free track via Epidemic sound. They have some excellent vibes on there
@@SportDCS Alright thanks, let me know if you find it. And thanks for the incredible tutorials!

Ery nice
Ah, so that's what the second BDHI needle is for... I have to admit it really messes with me to not have a course needle or heading bug.

I am! Probably cover air-to-air refueling next followed by weapons employment
@@SportDCS thats great! Thank you fir the reply, I look forwards to your new vids!
@@SportDCS also just a quick one, but are you aware you have a paracord bracelet tutorial in your a4 tutorial playlist? Just thought I'd let you know

what does the two needle mean in the bdhi? The needle with the gap points to where you want to go but what does the arrow needle do?
Hey @DCS Sport, Can you please make a video on other radar modes like Terrain Clearance, Plan and search mode, Also can you show us more on adding wp in flight
I need to learn the terrain clearance modes myself, but I’ll start looking into it
So it's like an INS but the speed is measured with the radar rather than integrated from the measured acceleration?
Correct. It works great, so long as the radar can reach the ground.
Is there a cold war server where you can fly this plane?
Does anyone know how to fix dead flight computer? everything says 000000 and does't respond
is there a tutorial for radar bombing?
How do i know what frequency the tacan is? Like is it on the kneeboard somewhere?
Yep, tacans are shown on the F10 map and are usually a 2, or 3 digit number, followed by an X or Y designation
Noice
you did fantastic job >W< but need rethinking about how taxi plane on carrier >W
I’ll be doing a carrier ops video. It’s not easy, for sure, but it’s very doable

When you are dialing in your frequency, where do you find it?? Im bew to DCS.
