@@Rhyno888 I actually agree. It's all surface and no substance. A million quests that you don't really want to do with like 3 tile sets of dungeons to do them in, and scaling loot does not make for a great experience.
I like the slower combat systems of the elder scrolls games. The animations are kinda ass tho
Can clearly feel my age watching this video, especially when someone in his chat said Halo invented online FPS, i almost had a stroke. That sentence needed to be qualified for consoles. Unreal Tournament and Quake say hello from many years before played by millions of players. Quake TF in the late 90's was epic.
If you haven't ever played Castlevania: SOTN. It is time to get an 8bitdo controller, buy the game for your phone. Stream it, and do at least one 100% run.

FFVII was revolutionary, I also would have FFVI in my top of all. I feel like I could see anything from X and under in a list and I wouldn't argue against it.

He said no sports games but still put Mario Kart which technically falls into sports since racing = sports. I would add Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Not necessarily any particular one, but the series as a whole.

I agree wholeheartedly about Subnautica. Of all the games on the list - even Elden Ring - Subnautica is the one I wish I could experience for the first time again. Literal masterpiece.
Still watching but i havent heard starfox yet. Commonly forgotten but every person loved that game on 64
No roasting for Detroit. That game had an insane number of choices with real consequences. It could be bright and happy ending or absolute darkness of Alice & Kara stripped of the clothes and hair and murdered in an android concentration camp with Detroit nuked. For a narrative driven game, that one is S tier.
Agreed. Subnautica was an unforgettable gaming experience. As for the tier list. Where's Star Wars Galaxies?! It's the best planet based sandbox mmorpg ever made, EVE Online for space sandbox, WoW was best themepark mmorpg. Also, Portal and Mass Effect deserve GOATed tier.
Thumbs up for Subnautica, glad that you included it. I‘ve played many games over many years, but without question this is one of the most unique and memorable experiences out there. Wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone…
For me, without a doubt, Elden Ring and Halo 2 are my favorites of all time! I loved them so much! Along with some others like Zelda breath of the wild, Goldeneye 007 and Super Mario 6 oh and yes bro Detroit becomes human is so underrated! 👌
Having played games since asteroids and growing up along with the technology, right now - Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece.
Animal Well is a fun little exploration game that based off your list I think you would enjoy.
Can't choose between Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bloodborne. Both are my GOATS! A few honorable mentions are Fallout New Vegas, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice (Fallout New Vegas and Monster Hunter world! Also haven't played The Witcher 3??? 😱😱

Pokmon Gold/Silver/Crystal were the peak. Lots of great new mechanics and awesome new pokemon. Everything after that was not close.

I know you dismissed Dragon Age. But for me… the story, game play, graphics (for the time) and playing with friends made it a 10/10 experience.
It Takes Two deserves more than an honourable mention. Especially as a couch co-op game.
I tried Subnautica without knowing anything about it because it was on GP AND it was a survival in water. I absolutely LOVED it and bought it to support the devs. At the same time, it is the only game in the genre where I was constantly on edge. Exploring the depths can be so terrifying especially when you don't have the best gear and tech.

Other games have done what Breath of the Wild did way before it, but for some reason, people say it changed RPGs. I dont understand, and I never will.

Greatest games of all time: Asteroids, Ninja Gaiden, Elden Ring, World of Warcraft, 007, Minecraft, Super Mario 64, Metroid/SuperMetroid, Diablo2, Skyrim. These are the best Games that were Game Changers since I started playing video games in 1977. Honorable mentions: Runescape, GTA5, FFVII, MS Flight simulator.
Hard to put anything above melee for me. It lived up to the hype, and I had so many good childhood memories from it.

Mass Effect > KOTOR... everyday and 36 times on sunday through saturday... multiply that by 3 on holidays.
Witcher 3? The disappointment of that not being there! Skyrim, perfect? I've always felt the elder scrolls games were incredibly mediocre... respect the list overall tho.

Well this is obviously subjective as all tier lists are. I rate games in two categories: best games ever and “meh”. There are only some titles in the first category: Elden Ring, Zelda BOTW, Stardew Valley, Nethack

Doesn't have Speedball 2, Turrican etc on there :/ seems very much console of the 90s focused then onto PC games. Will always be subjective but the title says "the greatest games", not "DM's favourite games" cool list though, it's amazing just now many good games there have been over the years.

I thought BG3 was extremely overrated for a blind play through.
I know people love D2 but it doesn't deserve best game made status anymore. It really is outdated at this point. Unless we count modded d2. Its pure nostalgia at this point. If d2 is in best ever Path of exile shits on it lol. Hell Last Epoch is better than D2.

Half-life 2 shouldn’t ever be on a list like this. Remember the launch? Steam was a disaster beyond that even. Unplayable. I had Half-life 2 for 3 months never got to play it because Steam was a shit show and HL linked to them.
