Yeah I think ultron is one of the coolest supervillains but the settings were forgettable, quicksilver was disappointing compared to his x men version, and the enemies were all the same robot so they were just boring fodder
Imo Thor 1 is the worst MCU movie. Thor 2 actually had a villain and I think the action in 2 was better and the funeral scene for her mom was kinda cool
My opinion - the original hulk was actually the most badass, hulk now is also good but you can't exactly call him "THE HULK" he is more of comedic relief
I agree with you, the original hulk was an actual beast to be reckoned with, his movements is just full of rage , while they do carry that same delivery in 2012 avengers, i feel like over the years they downgraded hulk and make him the "haha big guy dum dum funni!!". It's the last straw for me when they had thanos beating the shit outta hulk. Like, hulk is practically invincible, the angrier he gets the stronger he becomes. I'm pretty sure thanos is afraid of the hulk in the comics, seriously, that scene of thanos beating hulk without the full infinite stones really rub me the wrong way.
My main problem with Marvel these days is, there's are so many, and a lot of the ones in the beginning were great and fresh that as the MCU goes on the standards keep changing. We're expecting each new movie/show to out do the last, and its just not going to happen. Iron Man 2 is fantastic
The main problem is that it's owned by Disney now. They care much more about quantity than quality sadly so they're pumping out too many projects. That's why there's been so many horrible shows, they just know that they'll still make money which is all they care about. However, some of the projects have actually been good, and I'm pretty sure they do that becuase they know if they fucked up major movies, their fanbase would disappear.

When Doctor Strange was moved to B Tier, that shit hurt lmao. In all honestly though, As much as Kaecelius wasnt that big of a villian, he serves as a great mirror to Strange in the film. He's basically what Doctor Strange could've turned into if he continued down the path of selfishness. So as forgettable as his name is, i always saw him as an Evil Dr.Strange, before What If happened.
I think the film didn’t change the trope of villains much but they did change the way he defeated them. Not by beating them in combat but by sacrificing himself and losing for eternity which was a massive character development moment.
I think the part that Charlie missed about them “steamrolling” Thanos in Endgame was that he didn’t have the Infinity Stones in Endgame, but he *did* have them when they fought him in Infinity War.
The only reason thanos even has an army in endgame is to stop people asking the question ‘well why doesn’t all the superheroes attack him all at once?’. They do absolutely nothing the entire battle and have no discernible goals let alone achieve anything for Thanos other than maybe scratch Spider-Man a couple times.

Like Homecoming is about learning how to be a hero, FFH is about responsibility, and from what I heard, NWH will be about sacrifice. Edit: yes NWH was completely focused around a huge sacrifice Peter had to deal with
Tbh, I don’t like far from home. It felt like it didn’t have any stakes nor did it have any consequences. I do agree that homecoming is focused on Peter learning how to do the right thing, but he doesn’t learn much in far from home. It is only in No way home that Peter truly understands responsibility after his sacrifice.
@@dexyteehee spiderman had no consequences. He had a suit from stark and then glasses with his arsenal. That alone screams iron boy jr. (No meme intended). Then ask yourself who dies. @@owlcircus6811 there was no uncle ben dying. There was no harry dying. He had the centerpiece of his upbringing and his best friend. Both died putting guilt on him and he does everything to honor them. As i said, no consequences and it took three movies to do that.
Iron Man 3 is one of the few MCU movies that has any character to it at all! Theres a lot of great action with and without the suit. The scene where the passengers are falling out of the plane and he rescues all of them by himself is such a great moment for Tony's character. And there are scenes without his suit or just chunks of it where he outsmarts the enemy. The whole point of his character is that his real superpower is his mind not the suit. It's why he takes Peter's away in Homecoming. It's way better than 2 where the villain's motivation is "Bird"
Whiplashes motivation was his father’s legacy that’s forgotten bc he was deported. Or at least that’s what I remember; but he was a pretty weak villain tbh
In defense of Iron Man 3, it has the most creative action scenes out of all the marvel movies when it forces tony to fight without his suits. There's other points and The Cosmonaut Variety Hour has a great review of the movie in one of his jumbo marvel review videos, and it has given me a new appreciation for the movie.
@@toribibble yeah I think the point he was making is that Iron Man was a solo film and there was no guarantee that it would evolve into a cinematic universe. There had been other solo movies before but they didn't evolve into anything like the MCU. But when Tony Stark showed up in the end credits of The Incredible Hulk, that's when it really became a connected universe. So that is the argument there, I think, unless I'm wrong.
The only thing I remember about Falcon & Winter Soldier is how Tom Holland kinda spoke it into existence when he went "I haven't seen the Falcon mo-- oh wait, there isn't one, sorry."
They know that, which is why they weren't confused when they saw Spider-man homecoming/far from home on the list. By "marvel" they are meaning "MCU" or more specifically "Marvel studios." It's just shorthand. There is no reason to be specific and say "Marvel Studios" everytime because its clear what they mean by the context.

I'm just glad Doctor Strange, and Thor: Ragnarok were A and Stan Lee tier respectively. Doctor Strange has to be the most underrated MCU movie, and Ragnarok is looked at as "boring" but it's probably the funniest MCU film and was great development for Thor imo. Plus it introduced Korg, and that alone deserves S tier.

I think Dr. Strange should have stayed A tier its definitely better then everything in B tier. The visuals, the casting, the acting, it even broke away from the typical final boss showdown with trapping him in a Paradox.
Dr strange is not even close to guardians. Dr strange is just a normal marvel origin story like every other Especially like iron man. Sure dr strange is a very charming character and i love him too as a character but just to rate the movies Guardians is much better. Guardians was such a fresh movie and not the typical marvel story. @@GermainLetsLooser I forgot they put G.O.G 1 in B tier as well, there's a few movies I don't agree with their ranking. I think both G.O.G. 1 and Dr. Strange deserve A tier they are above a majority of the other Marvel movies. I also don't agree with Iron Man being S tier. I understand it is what kicked off the MCU but as far as a movie goes it's honestly just a good movie RDJ carries it hard and if you compare it to some of the later MCU movies it falls even farther. I would put it at a B tier instead of both Dr. Strange and G.O.G. 1. As far as Dr. Strange being a "normal marvel origin" I don't agree with that, but that's just my opinion. The beginning part of the movie where they're building up him getting his powers sure, he's pretty much a discount Tony Stark at the start, but it shifts away from the "normal marvel origin" after that point IMO.
I actually do think Ultron was great in the film problem is the fact we really needed him way later and more stakes with the film. I mean the trailers made it seem it was going to be darker.
Iron Man 3 had the best action scenes of the trilogy, primarily because most of them take several or all of Tony's gadgets away and force him to outthink the antagonists. The best example is the diner scene where Tony has to take down this fire breathing chick while handcuffed without his suit. Charlie missed out on this one.
Iron man 3 exists only for selling iron man armor toys. They wasted Mandarin, main guy was a pathetic simp, they basically killed iron mans original marvel aesthetics, christmas vibes were awful. Who wants iron man fight only with a staple gun in his hand? It was dog shit overall
@@mit6089 No one cares about Iron Man action scenes against normal people with guns because the suits make him borderline unkillable. The best thing this movie did was take away most of the stupidly powerful weapons Tony had accumulated over the last few movies. If all you want is Iron Man blasting random henchmen with lasers and using an everything-proof shield, good on ya. Tony's superpower has always been his intelligence, so it was refreshing to see a film that actually utilized it properly.
Just to clarify Charlie, Iron Man 3s ending isn't him saying no more suits, it's supposed to be him destroying them to start again, a clean slate which they even talk about at the start

I feel like Doctor Strange should've stayed in A tier. Yes, the villain(s) were forgettable, but that's because their role isn't so important or isn't the main focus. The focus is more about giving Strange his backstory and char development which it did a phenomenal job of compared to the other origin story type MCU films
The true villain was only revealed near the end of the movie, The Ancient One. Despite her very perfect image given to us at the start of the movie, she's very flawed, and has been stuck in the past trying to fix something she couldn't. Its a great lesson that reflects real life, we can't live in the past, we have to move on.

I don't think people hate any one of them. Both have their redeeming parts. The shield stuff that gets introduced in part 2 is great. The Villian is awful The 3 is overall better, cooler scenes, but there's nothing that important to it. They couldn't end it because Iron Man is a main stay everywhere. So they kind just did anything. It wasn't that good. But it's better than 2. 2 has such a boring third act.
@@poko60 What Iron Man 3 did was character building for Tony, exploring his PTSD and his development into his overarching goal to protect the world (“Suit of armor around the world”). Nobody appreciates how important that is until it pays off in Civil War and in the end.
First Thor movie is underrated tbh. The dialogue is unintentionally funny especially when Thor first interacts with Jane. The shakespearean dialogue goes well with the family drama and is played off well to be funny when its taken off of asgard.
This is the first time I see the Guardians movies ranked so low. Personally the first Guardians is easily S tier, they took a bunch of unknown characters and made them one of the flagships of the MCU, that movie was the Marvel formula at its peak. Yeah the villain was lame but that is a problem in general with the MCU, like you can count with the fingers of your hand how many good villains there are in the MCU, hell i'll do it: Loki, Thanos, Zemo, and maybe killmonger, that's it, so it doesn't say much when Charlie says Ronan is forgettable when 90% of the villains on these movies are also forgettable.
They are doing much better with villains now, but yeah for a while the villains in most of the movies were terrible. The Mandarin in Shang Chi was great. Vulture and Mysterio were awesome. Ego was really good too.

@@ogminimoose1190 The first 2/3s of the movie was a family drama with practical martial arts. Once Shang-Chi beat Wenwu and Wenwu realized his mistake before dying, the plot was over. The final monster battle felt very forced in there. And yeah it was cool, it was entertaining, but it was frustrating because they were that close to making a really really great movie.
@@JB00GIE22 yeah but what if i only watch movies for the cool cgi fights
@@badateverything2931 that’s totally fine. I’m just speaking for myself.
I personally think GotG is WAY better than most of the Marvel movies just on rewatch value alone. Can't beat the soundtrack and the humor is great.
The Bible is truth. Please do these four steps. They have an accumulative healing effect on your soul and will open your spiritual eyes.
Forgive your parents, break down before Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness, and read Genesis Mathew and one book of the Bible you chose yourself.
Please, I know it seems strange, but it is all true. You just need to be genuine. Open your heart. That’s what makes it all click. Especially the forgiveness part. To be forgiven we must forgive. Our parents have generally loved us. They’re supposed to be the easiest people to forgive. It shows something important to God if you do your inner work Jesus Christ laid out. Bro Avengers Age of Ultron is the most underrated Marvel project. It set up the internal conflict between all the avengers and eventually Civil War. Ultron was done very well

Cut to Jackson being taken to wherever the ILM animatronic t-rex is being kept and petting it on the nose.
I would love to see Rexy in person
Jackson is saying the Incredible Hulk started the MCU, but he’s wrong. Iron Man came out first.
Technically neither of those movies would of happened without the success of Blade but ya
@@torstenw5723 Irrelevant, we're talking about the current MCU as we know it, which started with those two
@@torstenw5723 Not really, sam raimi's spider-man success truly inspired Kevin feige

lol i never even realized, i always assumed hulk came out a year or two earlier cause the cgi looks much worse than iron man
I feel like I’m in the small minority that really likes both antman movies
What is this, a minority for ANTS!?
Well I do agree ant man 2 was not great it definitely was not the same tier as thor 2 also ant man 1 was great and funny too
I think the point that most Marvel fans say that Ant Man is okay but no one really calls it their favorite movie
Edit: I am wrong. It's my dad's favorite
@@shmaowzaow5214 nah man AMatW was a solid A to S tier. i dunno why but everytime i watch it brings a smile to my face. its one of my favorite mcu movies
I completely agree
I sighed with relief when u put Loki at A. That show slaps!
just finished it its so fucking deliciously trippy I never expected that from Loki or even Marvel at all
Personally I didn’t really like it that much. The only thing that kept me watching was Owen Wilson.

I’m so annoyed at the fact dr strange and guardians vol 1 are a tier below civil war
Absolutely agreed
Exactly! The scene in Civil War where the Avengers line up and run towards each other was the dumbest thing I'd ever seen
@@Yoko4797 It was so goddamn boring too; the airport scene was meant to be the one getting people butts into cinemas but it was super bad imo. It is incredibly visually unappealing and really boring, the only thing that saved it was Spidey, he was great
I’m mildly annoyed at these comments but its opinion so i respect it.
Edit: i agree with this now. All of these movies are really good but after rewatching dr strange, yeah it should be changed.
I agree with Civil War being above both of those.
Some fact checks because I'm sad that chat never pointed them out:
1) No, Tony was not "nursed back to health" by the kid in Iron Man 3. He got him a sandwich and that's pretty much all he did for his health.
2) No, Incredible Hulk was not the first MCU movie, Iron Man came out first.
3) No, the final fight in the first Thor was not against the giant robot, that was the second to last fight. The real final fight is against Loki and it's much better.
4) No, nobody cares about these minor details except me but I'm gonna post them anyway
I think the kid did more than just give a sandwich, didn't he give him a place to stay and be safe while fixing his suit?
@@junaydfisher211 yeah I think he just meant the actual nursing him part was only done by himself to himself. Like he actually fixed himself.
Just take the tier list with a grain of salt

@Sigma Juicer that's pretty much telling you he's a nerd, so he told you he was a marvel nerd by telling you he was a marvel nerd
Guardians Of The Galaxy not being in the Stan Lee Tier just about invalidates this whole list for me.
Neat
And the second movie being rated so low as well
Charlie's last words in this video were "I think Marvel shows have a very bright future..."
If only he could have foreseen the horror that is She-Hulk.
Man that elevator scene alone should have put Winter Soldier in A tier
Your comment made me worried that Winter Soldier was lower down lol, still a Stan Lee tier movie imo
or steve rogers vs winter soldier
The music alone made it A tier. The buildup to that scene was S tier, and Bucky is (in my opinion) the best villain from a solo marvel movie.
it's S for me
I feel like Doctor Strange should've stayed in A tier. Yes, the villain(s) were forgettable, but that's because their role isn't so important or isn't the main focus. The focus is more about giving Strange his backstory and char development which it did a phenomenal job of compared to the other origin story type MCU films
100% doctor strange had the best fully told mcu origin story. I loved the concepts they touched on there.
The weird trippy visuals are awesome

I also found it interesting that they said the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange villains are forgettable, but both Civil War and especially Winter Soldier have forgettable villains as well
Something I noticed is that If u think Iron Man 2 is good, you (probably) hate Iron Man 3 BUT if u don't like Iron Man 2, you (again probably, most likely) LOVE Iron Man 3
I don't think people hate any one of them. Both have their redeeming parts. The shield stuff that gets introduced in part 2 is great. The Villian is awful
The 3 is overall better, cooler scenes, but there's nothing that important to it.
What if I love both lol.

First Thor movie is underrated tbh. The dialogue is unintentionally funny especially when Thor first interacts with Jane. The shakespearean dialogue goes well with the family drama and is played off well to be funny when its taken off of asgard.
My thoughts exactly. First Thor was a classic for me.
Anthony Hopkins was amazing in the unworthy scene.
the first two Thor movies are boring as fuck. Thor Ragnarok is miles better and isn't even on the same level as Thor 1 and 2 they are so bad
Thor 1 is easily the most underrated.

@Aspen Formentera I wouldn't know. I haven't seen it yet. I am waiting for it to come to Disney Plus (without having to pay extra). It is the only MCU thing I haven't seen.
