- Fear and hunger 2: Termina is known for many things, among them the amount of nasty or disgusting things in its world. Set in a fictional city in Bohemia, Fear and Hunger 2 is a dark fantasy RPG that explores the horrors of the old and new gods.
In this video, we will go over list of 20 Nasty things in Fear and Hunger 2: Termina. Among other things, we'll cover the bobbies, the woodsman, Caligura, the Poe, Chambara's Poetry, Father Hugo, The Janitor, moonscorched villagers, Crimson heads, the Mayor, Nash'rah's head, the item of dirty toilet paper and others . Narrated with a few tips here and there, and explaining the lore of the game.

I’ve been struggling with addiction myself, and wanted to thank you for being so honest about the disease. I also spent about half an hour trying to find a way to contract you directly but couldn’t find a means to do so. I’ve watched quite a few of your videos and am impressed by the quality of them. I wish all the luck in the world
Just wanted to say hi. I'm a recovering opiate addict, myself. January 19th will mark my 12 year anniversary. But it took 5 rounds of inpatient treatment before it stuck. That first 12-18 months is no cakewalk. Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome really kicked my butt. I can't stress enough how essential medically assisted recovery is and has been to my success. If you're ready and haven't already looked into seeing a professional that specializes in the medical management of substance use disorders, I highly recommend it. (As both a patient and a medical student.)
If you're interested and need help finding resources, I can help point you in the right direction. I also have a list of good Books and websites if you would like more information on what happens to the brain and body, what's going on when you get a craving, why the rate of relapse is so high, and how to help the brain heal.
Anyway, I wish you all the best and just take one step at a time.

As a finnish person. I am both suprised and not surprised that a finnish person managed to make a body horror game, not only once but TWICE. Gray sky and harsh winter can do some dark miracles like these.
The little photoshopped jorts on the woodsman had me laughing way harder than it should have. I'm used to just seeing a little black censor bar, but that's a cute bit of added modesty

I used to drink 1.75l of vodka every two days. I was dying. Endless shakes and fear. No control over my nerves, so just being able to write this with love in my heart is a gift. 3 years, 3 weeks sober.

There's something about the art-style and vibe of Termina that frightens me more than FH1. Like even at the very beginning with those villagers, I found myself getting very afraid when I saw them. Orange makes amaaazing evocative art!

That's a really good point, never thought about that.
Caligura is so vile that he had to be brought up twice, but because he's so disgusting, I want him to be playable and have it so we can save everyone with him.
Tanaka is expected to be the next playable, but Caligura has a pretty much complete skill tree. Just gotta wait and see.
Playing as Caligura and learning more about his backstory would be very interesting! What if secretly he's a really nice person in the past? That'd be interesting.
I get the feeling that there's still a lot more to see for Termina, as if Miro still hasn't finished the entire game
Janitor is so easily beaten to death by Macro, they need to up their security if they want cubes made.

Fun fact; the devs actually have a phobia of jorts! This is why every enemy has jorts!
For those who don't know the creator of the game has a fear/fobiya of shirts with buttons no 🧢 and that's he created the monster neighbours and the one monster in the dressing room entirely made of shirts which is invincible

Great excerpt about addiction. I always like the souls series because I felt the dark sign was a generic symbol of certain things like chronic diseases, depression, addiction, etc. So it's nice when art humanizes the prevalence of addiction.

I never thought of the dark sign that way, but I really like your interpretation. Kinda empowering in a way. I absolutely love the Souls series, it's my favorite franchise bar none. I should make some videos on the souls series now that I think of it......

@tacobanana_forever not sure if Miyazaki ever overtly indicated what the purpose of the sign was but I think it was meant to be generic for anything that is a struggle hence obviously the statement. Could've been simply to be a play on the type of game it's meant to be or just another symbolism of strife but yeah, I'm a new sub but based off your fear and hunger info I'd definitely give a listen to a souls video. Cheers.

I've struggled with addiction for 15+ years and thats just my opiate addiction. I recently went to detox and then inpatient but i left inpatient after half a day. I'm just not a social person, sticking me in a room where i have to live with two other people who are addicts is just never going to end well for me. I can't do it, I need time to decompress and solitude. Detox was no problem for me at all and actually kind of enjoyable. Inpatient, not so much. I plan on staying clean but man, it's such a struggle. I've tried getting clean in the past and sometimes it just feels like it's almost impossible. I'm afraid if i actually realize or admit that to myself, I will do something stupid like end my life. It's just so demoralizing and inescapable...it feels like the only way out sometimes.
Thank you for watching my video. I wanted to wish you the strenght and perseverance to get better. Its not easy, but please believe that you are worth it and that you have a great future ahead of you. I'm a recovered alcoholic and I wanted to put something in this video so others know you are not alone in struggling with addiction.

I watched someone else review this game and saw that if you talk to the pig man, you can get him to lift up his mask. It takes a couple of turns, but then he poisons himself and dies. I enjoy watching footage of games that I don't have the tech to play myself, so thanks for these videos.

Fear and Hunger borrows a lot from popular horror movies and video games. Aside from the obvious Art the Clown reference, there’s the moon and Termina from Majora’s mask, the Moonscorched from the Moonlight Syndrome in Mask of The Lunar Eclipse, the Silent Hill style map and a lot more to list in a single comment.
Me for about 22 minutes: "weird. I wonder why the dev decided to give everyone jean shorts in this game."

Very true. I replayed Silent Hill 2 and Signalis this year, and I can't help but laugh at how many holes you jump through in both the games

The Woodsman has to be a hommage to Rasputin, he looks very similar
I think he is. The creator of the game is Finnish, should I would think there's a good bit of cultural contact. Besides, both games are filled with references and homages.

This game is the definition of tortured artist. But I don’t know the dev so I can’t say that but this is something I would probably make because my mind is the equivalent to an insane asylum insane medical practices during the 1800s.

I really think The Mayor’s design/lore might be a reference to SCP-082: Fernand the giant gentlemanly cannibal lol who also enjoys fine foods and cooking….(just uses…uhm other more humanly ingredients hah)… Also enjoys asking his next potential food source specific disturbing questions & discussing the arts/music over dinner. Before he ultimately decides to X them or not. - So if you answer wrong you’re gone, just like with the Mayor.
Know I’m probably wrong of course & this is just a coincidence 😅 but any videos I see that mention the mayor/Henryk (and the symbolism behind his transformation) it immediately reminds me of 082/Fernand. So just thinkin aloud.

Haha not yet, more of an initiate. I've accepted that I will eventually end up getting into Warhammer, and I'm gradually reading up more and more on the lore. I've played Boltgunner and the Total War Warhammer games, but I still haven't gotten into the board game, but i get the feeling I will eventually. Recommend any Warhammer media I should check out?
