I think you need to highlight even more thst it depenends on your area. For example, here the ttr250 and 230 are regularly going for 2.5k, to find on under 2k means getting a fixer upper. The xr250 is typically about 1k ish more than the tt250. Again you can fidn them for under 2k as a fixer upper. I just got a ttr250 for under 1k but its in really rough shape. For here to get one resdy to ride is over 2k
Great question, Evan. I should have clarified. The TTR250 HP is at the crank, while the 230 HP is at the rear wheel. So the 250 would probably have low to mid 20s at the rear wheel, which is still about 5 more peak HP, but the 230 has a little more low-end torque.
I honestly didn’t like the ttr250. It seems a lot heavy than the xr200. I sold the ttr250 and got a kdx200. A lot lighter, and easier to ride. And you can find the kdx for around 2000 as well.
Yep, the TTR250 is better for bigger riders that don't mind the extra weight. The KDX200 is a great trail bike, but I don't quite consider it a "beginner bike" because it's a little bit more "snappy" and requires a little extra maintenance/oil mixing. Thanks for watching, Joemama!
What bike would you recommend me I’m 5’10 190 was going to pick up a 04’ crf250r on Tuesday scared it won’t have enough power also seen crf450 for around the same price range
Hey I’m looking at getting into riding but now sure if it’s a good idea. I’m 6’3 so it’s hard for bikes to fit me. I dont have the most amount of money. So what would you recommend getting? And do you recommend buying used or just save up money and the hassle and buy new?
what bike do you suggest me to buy for low budget around 3000$ also i am begginer and 5'1 feet. I am looking to get yamaha yz 125cc but i just want to get your opinion.
At your height and being a beginner I would recommend the CRF125F, KLX140, or TTR125: ruclips.net/video/2s1vN1T9pRo/видео.html The YZ125 is a tall 2-stroke motocross race bike. Not something I would recommend to a beginner: ruclips.net/video/szZXPTesUDo/видео.html
@@UrFavLerdi Where are you looking? TTR125's are one of the most common dirt bikes out there. A TTR110 might be a little bit small for you and they don't come with a clutch from the factory.
Hey, I am about to buy my first bike and I really want your advice on what I should get. I am about 5’9 and 140 lbs. I’ve rode my friend’s ttr230 many times over the past year and really have gotten a hang of the bike. Now that i’m getting my own bike I just don’t know if a ttr230 would be enough to satisfy me, especially since i’m wanting to get into motocross eventually as well. Could you give me your opinion on what I should get?
What you recommend me getting? Am 5'5 320 pounds and never riden a dirt bike but i own a raptor 700r. also want ot stay in a decent budget less then 5k. I was also looking at a new crf250f for 5k plus taxes. Not sure what to do. bikes around my area on marketplace are just as much as new.

There are pros and cons to each. I prefer to buy a name-brand used bike because I typically know what to look for to know if it's a good deal or not. Here's a good place to get started when looking at used bikes: ruclips.net/video/RpXW6SntidA/видео.html
What do you think of getting a new Chinese off road bike.... saw this on amazon for under $2000 (X-PRO Hawk DLX 250 EFI Fuel Injection 250cc Endure Dirt Bike Motorcycle)
Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out! I don't normally recommend them for a few reasons, but they can definitely work for getting into dirt biking if you want a brand new bike for cheap. The main downfalls are: can be hard to get replacement parts for, and durability and overall build quality aren't quite as good as a Japanese bike. That bike specifically is also going to be noticeably heavier than say a CRF250F or KLX230R of similar size. (about 50 lbs if their specs are correct) because it's more of a dual sport bike - not sure if you plan on riding on the street or not.
@@pedrob3203 Okay, I'll add that to my list ;) With that said, most of the new beginner bikes (in this video: ruclips.net/video/o7q9RcqdHn4/видео.html) can be found for under $5k in the used market.

Does the ttr250 really have 10hp more than the 230 n 225?. I actually didn’t exspect that

Yeah, the CRF250F would be great to start on. The suspension will be soft at your weight, so you may want stiffer springs in the shock and forks.
