Dirt Bike Channel that’s probably because those premiere things are enjoying. You think the video is already online so you click on it but it is just a premiere thing. Those people who disliked were probably just annoyed because they couldn’t watch te video.
Fortnine has two good videos on chain lubes and cleaners. Recommends using simple green and a light (20w-50 IIRC) gear oil for cleaning then lubing. Simple green cleans without penetrating the seals that trap grease on the bushings, and gear oil penetrates and protects from rust well, however it picks up more contaminants during a ride than a PTFE dry lube.
Even if you have a ton of experience, its always good to watch these types of videos to pickup new tricks or just remember old ones you forgot about. 👍 lol love the outtakes
Extra tips for you to add since this epic video can only get better. Sorry if you know these already. 1. When pulling a broken down bike with another other bike wrap the strap around the handle bars and instead of tying a knot hold the end on the grip...release your hand and the wrap unwinds nicely and safely. 2. Putting some air in a tube before mounting the tire does wonders for not pinching tubes. 3. Short people have a tougher time lifting a bike onto a stand...they want to lean the bike farther over before lifting and use the thigh of one of their legs to help lift. 3. The most popular tires are worthless in soft dirt...can't make a hill climb and get a IRC MB5...rides well on trails and will amaze everyone on the climbs and doesn't wear quickly. 4. You probably know now but hoses exist to screw into oil plug for quick draining. 5. When mounting a rear tire sit on the ground straddling the swing arms from the rear. Your legs work miracles for holding up the wheel while you finagle it on hoping the spacers won't pop out. 6. Tusk makes spacers that are smooth and don't pop off easily when mounting the year tire. 7. Cushion seats are amazing now...some performance lost but great on trail breaking bumps. 8. High compression radiator caps for technical slow riding. 9. Don't forget to turn bike on after filling full of oil because oil filter takes up a lot of oil and you will need to add more. 10. Make sure electrical components like starter relay aren't jiggling around because electrical parts don't like such things. I replaced my battery with an oversized one and therefore relay needed taping down after I realized the seat wasn't holding everything in place. Got to go, but hope that helps you add content. I have many more weird tips if you want...just ask.
Kyle, your vids are not only informative but also funny. I appreciate you showing the bloopers, they were very funny. Pls show more of them on each video
Swing arm covers damage your finish more than they save. Remove and clean under them often or just put decals on. Make sure to ride your brakes and glaze the pads up good so they don't work good. Several aggressive stops letting them cool in-between is the correct way. Oh, use chain lube. Otherwise, do what he said.
Kyle from experience put your bar mounts back into the rear two holes on the Yamaha, it kills the handling, makes the bike steer way too quick and knifey in the front holes. Trust me on this 👍
Hi Kyle, I know shops and dealerships HATE when they have to change a tire with slime tire sealant in it but I feel just the opposite. Actually got the tip from the guys over at Tubliss to use Slime as a lubricant when mounting a new tire. I "paint" the high pressure tube and inside of my tires with Slime before install. Everything slips into place easily and cleans up with water. A few ounces in the low pressure chamber afterwards keeps everything lured inside to prevent friction and flats. I was always told NOT to use standard WD40 on a chain because it's a degreaser not a lubricant. Maybe you can clarify? Love your channel. Makes me happy every time I buy a product using your links (which is way too often!) That I can help support you and your family. Keep up the good work and the outtakes at the end!!! J
Basically WD 40 helps give temporary lubricant to the O-Rings. It won’t harm the rubber. I use Chain Wax directly on each ring, but WD 40 works and is also good because you can spray the whole chain and wipe off the excess with a rag. WD 40 can also be used for a chain cleaner.
Great tips. Lots of "why didn't I think of that" stuff. A favorite thing I do is use an electric leaf blower to dry out the nooks and crannies after washing. Then hit it with the SC1 as Kyle mentioned.
A tip about brakes after a wheel/ tire change. Your brakes will be VERY weak for the first few times you hit them. Sort of like bedding in the new brakes
Dude! That is LOTS of wisdom! I've been wrenching for 30 yrs and just picked up a few more tips! So I thank you, and I urge people to SUBSCRIBE to what homeboy is spit'n. I'm keeping this one for a check list.
Awesome again! Should do a fast pace riding tips and tricks one of these days. Something we can watch right before we go riding to remind us of all the stuff to think about to make us a little better that day. Thanks again Kyle for kicking ass.
Like the outtakes at the end , that’s me alright many takes 😂 Some nice bits like the stainless swing arm guard fasteners 🤔 Have you seen my 300 build😬👍🏻
Some good Tips, THX for that! One thing to complain: please don't use Baby Powder to prevent Snake bites, take Talkum powder! And Grease is no good, because it will dry out soon or, for the worst, it may damage the Rubber of the tube. After all, I use only Mousse and the troubles are totally gone. Greets
The tip on steering head bearing tension is still wrong kyle. Adding the caption to release the fork clamps is some of the correction, but the tension is not obtained from the bolt on the top of the triple clamp. It is obtained by adjusting the two collar nuts that lock together under the top clamp....🙄. Crank as much tension as you like on the nut or bolt on top of the top clamp, you are only tightening it against those two locking collar nuts. The bearings are under those...
Here's a tip for YOU - Get a Brush/Crash Guard that bolts into the bar end. It will protect everything in the whole control group on both sides. The one you are using will flex out of the way and is very short which allows everything to contact the ground before the guard (see 0.44). The full protector will save a lot of damage to controls. It will also brush away stuff that could get caught between between your brush guard and control group, as well as actually protect parts of your hand from brush hits, because it is so far away from the end of your hand. Your short Guard is also the reason for some of your tips. Chain lube - WD-40 is good. It comes off easily also when cleaning - taking dirt with it. However a DRY LUBE doesn't sling off. I use Teflon Multi-Use Lubricant, works great.
Kyle, Your tip (#34) to install the carb slide spring is brilliant! Some of the smaller carbs are a real pain and this was an excellent tip that I'll use sometime in the future.
The end of the video is magic. Just when we thought you were a robot the truth comes out! Either that or your firmware needs updated :) It reminds me of every instructional video I've started but never followed through with.
Love all the tips.. I'll have to bookmark this for sure as I'll never remember them all. Bloopers were great as well. Glad its not just me that has to record things a few times.
Great tips video! One more tip iv'e heard is to hit the spokes inside the hub to make sure they set alot better when they are new Because they usally have some edges that catches the sides and when you hit the spokes they set down alot more in the rim.

the grab strap is my fav, bikes USED to have a frame loop at the back to grab, now all you have is plastic fender. Going to make a strap that uses the seat mount bolts for mine, that is a great idea.
Just a friendly tip for tubes, you can install tube inflate it a little and then install the tire and tube on the rim using liquid wrench silicone spray

Ok you could of told me about threading the spring onto the throttle cable BEFORE I spent countless hours adjusting jets. But in all seriousness awesome tips! Love your videos 😁
Three more: 1. Cut 1/2" off each end of your handle-bars to allow more clearance in tight single-track wooded trails; you won't miss the length, but you will clear more trees. 2. Apply a moderate amount of hair-spray to the inside of new handlebar grips before pushing them on the bar ends; it allows them go on easier, straighter, and it sets quickly. 3. Put three-wraps of safety-wire (spaced evenly) around each handlebar grip, and tuck the twisted-end down into grip; good insurance to keep your grips from coming off. -Mack .
