*I wash my bike better than my self*
Hahaha, great reaction
El Maestro Dominican nice
Same with my quad 😆
I don’t have a dirtbike but I still wash my imaginary dirtbike better than myself
Facts 😂
Wow, l never realized how intricate it is to wash a dirt bike.
Hey since I don't own a helicopter, is there a possibility that my bike is not gonna be as clean as yours?
(Asking for a friend)
Possibly 😜
🤣🤣
“Asking for a friend” lmao 😂
@@TheMxFactory HI THE MX FACTORY BROTHER ITS YOUR BRO RORY OVER IN NEW ZEALAND MATE I HOPE U ARE ALL GOODS MAN ALL THE BEST FOR U GUYS MATE
I AM GOING OUT ON MY DIRT BIKE TODAY RIDE WITH MY MATES THIS MORNING OVER IN NEW ZEALAND WE ON MAN LEESSGO LEESSGO
Thank you for great tips! Now i will flip my bike side to side while washing =)
Little addition, hope that can help someone
1. If you dont have foam generator - use big sponge with laundry soap. Laundry soap can be mixed with soda if needed to clean metal parts to shine. (This tip save your money because shampoop is poop =D joking... shampoo is expensive and last no long.
2. Use plastic bags to fill exhaust pipe and air filter box - you can re-use it and it cowers great if you tamp bag properly. (Save your money - no tape wasting)
3. Check your progression links - wery vulnerably for dirt while rideing trough mud puddles, especially on high speed. Clean and regrease it with waterproof consistent grease. (If bearing get rust - you need to replace them so you loose money and wasting bearings.)
Brillo is a brand name and typically a metal scrubbing pad, the green pad you are using is called a scouring pad although most people call them Scotch Brite pads, but that is a brand name. Great videos and love your content!
WD-40 displaces moisture preventing flash rust and Conditions rubber and plastics
This is true. Ive heard of track racers on streetbikes putting wd40 on their tires on wet days. Supposed to help their slicks grip better.
But idk lmao. Never would try my g.
I wash my bike the same exact way, but I really really like to use the airbox wash boot. No chances of your filter getting wet or water in your carburetor. I just recently started to race Motocross thank you guys for all your advice you're great..
How’s motocross been?
Friend: How well do you wash your bike?
Me: *yes*
Hi guys massive fan down here in Australia love your vids
Thank you for watching!
Wow thanks for replying all good love all of them also glad to help the channel with patreon

I’m Aussie as well.
Aussie to
Best video on the channel right here. Very useful.
The music in your videos...is plain fantastic !
I just got a new one a week ago going off-roading it was blue and white now it’s brown from off-roading but it’s back to normal now it worked really good
nice video, I'd add the following:
- you didn't specify to clean inside the airbox, it will likely be filthy and a very important spot to have clean
- be carfeul with air near the radiatior and seals.
- Inox or WD40 sprayed under the fenders will help stop mud build up on next ride.
Looking forward to more vids :)
the wd40 for mud build up is a good tip. im guessing silicon spray or anything slippery would be just as good, and as a bonus be good for the plastics.
@@socks2441 yeah - silicone, lanolin, all that sorta stuff.
I really enjoy watching your videos, you’re very knowledgeable and I like how you explain things. I’ve learned a lot from you man
I have watched you guys videos for a while and all of them are helpful big fan from South Africa
When the mud is dry I like to hit the fenders a couple times. The plastic is flexible, the dry clay not so much.
Bikes looking great hope the winner appreciates the work done to it
It’s called Scotch brite
It's called bad idea 😜
Might as well use sandpaper 😉
monstrous raccoon how
monstrous raccoon have u actually used it buddy?
@@monstrous_raccoon bad idea to use on paint for sure, will scratch raw metal too, but probably not enough to notice / care in some places on the frame.
Yeah God forbid you scratch raw aluminium... that’s already scratched from the factory.
Ronnie Mac: jokes on you, I don’t have any fenders to wash!
haha that's amazing!

I don’t have a dirt bike
@@yomido4018 why the fuck are you on this video then
@@dylanbikelife8231 becuse hes probaly going to buy a bike later thin goddamnit like pls fucking think
Leaf blower works better, larger area covered and you don’t have to have a compressor keep going on. I’ve got both but now prefer a cordless leaf blower method.
Just bought my first bike, guess I need to buy a power washer next!
Did you buy a pressure washer?
@ONLYaUNCfan Nah I just wash it by hand and then put it in the sun and run it for 5 min. Don't really need one although I haven't gotten mine super dirty yet
@@cwatson42785I’m scared about getting the bike wet even tho I need to figure out where a leak is coming from and the bike is covered in sand
Quedo genial , saludos desde monterrey mexico !
Big help for this new guy riding DS. Thank you! (The product name you're looking for is Scotch-Brite...which will scuff up everything plastic and painted if you use the green one in your video. Try the blue ones.) Try a nylon mesh sponge. Also works great on cars for bug and sap removal.
Really good video. Thanks guys, y'all help me learn a lot about how to do different things with my bike.
Love your videos. Very informative and you have a bright, entertaining disposition....and great hair.
A quick tip coming from a detailer: use good high foaming soap for more cleaning time, good chemicals will knock off the dirt and grime easy and not much elbow grease is needed.
Great video! I'm a super anal bike washer (like, scrubbing all 36 spokes individually on each wheel anal...) and because I almost always have had used bikes, my goal is to get them just a little bit cleaner each time I wash them. Thanks a lot for the tip about resting the lower triple clamp on the stand! I've always just laid the grips on the pavement and that'll definitely tear them sooner or later (mine are usually torn). And yes, lay it over on both sides!
A couple notes, you did caution about spraying directly into the fork seals (big no-no), but the the wheel bearings and especially the linkage/pivot bearings are even more susceptible! Don't hit these at close range! The same with drying air! Also, the brillo/scotch brite pad is a good idea, but I'm not sure I'd use it so liberally. It will take the shine/gloss off of such surfaces. I'd only use when a regular sponge (which is what I use) won't cut it.
ur a super WHAT bike washer
Anal bike washer 🫡
Do you ever use a air box cover ? Or is this not necessary
@@aliennetwork08 me personally, sometimes. If the air box is really dirty I’ll remove the seat, remove the filter and install the cover, then wash out the air box. I definitely don’t do it every wash. Maybe every 3-4 washes.
If your filters get wet how long should you let it dry before riding?
As a parent whose kids are just getting into dirt bikes what tips and tricks would you suggest in terms of maintaining the bike and stuff that will help them. I have got them watching your videos. 😂
Thanks for the advice it was a great video 👍
Thanks for watching! We are glad you found some useful advice!
Elbow grease is an amazing product for cleaning the bike and it only costs about 90p a bottle
I use brillo pads as air filters instead of foam on thenold pw80 enclosed air filter boxes. More air flow but still keeps all the shit out.
Love all your videos! Thank you for all the info you share.
"Is that a helicopter?" - No, it's a giant *dragonfly* with a wet air filter.
Huge thing I’d recommend is no toils airbox cleaning kit. The clean spray works wonders to clean out the box and having the air boot cover is way nice. The exhaust plug that comes with it leaves something to be desired though. Also where’s the link to that foam spray?
Hi I’m new to dirt biking I’m confused on what the air box is and a air boot is can you help ?
@@nickg5275 im a little late but u should find it under the seat
@@draco5188 aha thanks. What a dumb question I had asked lol
I use a leaf blower to dry, being careful around bearings.
Spray the whole bike down with sc1 after. That stuff is great
Yea it is!!!!!!!! And smells great!!
When ever I need a dirtbike tip or what not to do i just look at this channel it helps me with everything.-
Oh God, I m so bad in this department. Thank you for this video.
Great job! Very complete and thank you for sharing it.
Scotch Bright :) Love from Australia!
im from trinidad and im gonna buy one soon so im watching alot of videos
I got a lot of time for this bloke. 👌🏽
Just in time for winter yayyy ...
how often should I deep clean the bike? (i live near a packed dirt course) @The Mx Factory
Just a FYI...SOS and Brillo are metal wire, like steel wool. What you have there is Scotchbrite.
Thanks for your demo wash to your bike sir.
You guys need to link the foam product. Fulfillment links for $
Thank you very much for this video, very helpful.
Make sure to put armorall or plastic conditioner all over your seat and grips to keep them shiny and new!
dont forget the levers, foot pegs and bottom of your shoes if you ride aggressive!
Spoke covers? Noooooooooo
Schwifty why not?
Nico B spokes rust
Yea really..... Dude makes a "how to properly wash" bike video...... Has spoke skins on his bike that hold more water/dirt/debri than anything.
@@luke9299 and the covers hold water/dirt etc.. And eventually the nipples will seize to the spoke and you will not longer be able to true your wheels without replacing spokes and/or rebuilding the whole wheel.
They’re gay as heck that’s for sure... I’d never run them.
Sitting here in 90 degree weather while I live in the desert, wanting to wash my bike but can’t until the sun goes down a bit, damn water spots 😭
This guys mullet is mint! 🤣
Brillo and SOS are brands that are steel wool. That little green pad is a 3M or "scotch" pad. All are abrasive and scrub.
Sc1 for the win
Hey there, I have a 2011 yz450f. How long does the air filter need to sit before running the engine again safely? Just so nothing gets in the carb, etc..
What if you have a street legal dirt bike, should I worry about getting my switches soaking wet?
If you have a high power pressure washer just use the yellow tip or 50 degree
Actually both those sponges scratch the bike. The green is too aggressive on metal, the other on plastic.
Hi guys you can’t beat a clean Mx bike AWESOME 💰💰
If I remember correctly from a recent Q&A during a Tuesday training session, someone asked about what you use to wash your bike, and I thought you said straight Simple Green. But there was no Simple Green used in this video. ???
Thanks lol can’t wait to wash my bike
So getting the carburetor is chill? Just tape the exhaust?
Question?
I have a 4 stroke. If I lay my bike over won’t oil go all through everything ?
Not really mate. It will go through the head and rocker gear and maybe seep into the cylinder, but when i had 4 strokes id lay it over and wash under each side then stand it up and keep blowing off. Bike is upright for at least 10/15 mins and thats plenty for it to all drain back down
@@jaydensewell8558 cheers bro 🤙🤙
As a car detailer i would use microfiber washmitt for those plastics.
Yeah, but its a dirtbike... Itl fly through some bushes 50min after washing anyways, and if your plastics are done, you order a new set for 100$ 😂
@@HochstartHarry we car detailers are crazy 😅
@@jtm1979 yeah 😂 but i would never use a brush on my car... That gets treated like a babbies bottom 😂
this is like park tool but for MX and more psyched
Can you do a video on “how to start a 2019 yz450f “, I’ve had my bike for a while now and for the life of me I can’t start it there’s no kick starter on it.
We can’t find ours either?! Manufactures defect?
you’ll need some double A batteries 😉
I was literally trying to figure out the best way to wash my bike
I dont have a dirt bike but im saving this video for the future 😂
hey it comes with time i just got one and its a ttr 110 and im 14 way to big for that bike but hey it works keep saving up or be like me do some chores for a negibor and in turn get a bike !
Good info , really enjoy all your videos , even when your trying to be funny lol 👍 Thanks
Nerf gun bullets are also really good for plugging the exhaust 👍🏻
Mabey on a moped or something
Pros will insert from 20m away with a nerf gun
Very informative, and entertaining. Good video, cheers from straya.
The best video. It's very helpful.
I wash my bike with a rag on a stick!
Fill Ups ewww Bart!
Let the man invent
thanks for this video i didnt know that you should wash the bike you nicely
Imagine having access to a helicopter aka a GIANT FAN and still using a puny air hose to dry your bike.
I no if i did I would wash my bike every day
so i have an electric start and a kick start so is it ok to spray it with the electric start? the only reason i said i have a kick too is cuz i dont want anyone replying to me what a whimp no im a kick guy. how do you do it tho with the battery and all?
“You don’t want to waste $20 bucks man that’s dinner!”
That got me😂
What’s the link for the soap. Or what should I use
How many hours do you spend cleaning, drying, lubing, detailing, each bike?
Wow looks really awesome
How do you plug the filter hole? What tools or items are needed to do so?
Excellent video- subscribed!
You should do a video on how to berm blast.
Hey bro I'm your Filipino fans😊
I use a hose and a old toilet scrubber it works good
Great video. Many thanks
Do a "How to Brake Tap" video !! Would love to know the correct way to do it
They have
Sweet "in da club" remix
Great vid! Just wondering tho... why did you leave the seat on and pressure wash it? Ive always heard thats bad
It can be , the foam can deteriorate. they make air filter covers for the intake
Really good vid! Thanks man
My pressure washer have a throttle, you can have 500-3500 psi. Even my old electric one was controllable, just turn it way down instead of risking pushing water anywhere.
How do you prevent water from going in the air box, and I didn’t think you could blast water into the radiator either...
Guys if u dont have a stand u can use a cooler or one of those big plastic buckets
What kinda soap is in the phome sprayer?
i pressure washed my bike with a 40 degree tip and at 1600 psi with the tip like 4 feet away and i ended up ripping holes through my paint. i cant tell if the paint is weak or if i did something wrong.
Can you get water in your carb from washing it with a presure washer?
Hey guys! Great video! How to do the stepdown turnaroud?
Horváth Peti are you Hungarian?
What brand of electric power washer do you have?
Just starting in mx, can you all tell me a good tip for a begginer rider?
