This lady was raised right. Bravo to her parents for never filling her head with judgement or entitlements etc. she was taught to be open minded and compassionate for everyone. Because she didn’t judge him from the outside appearances she was rewarded with an amazing partner who truely loves her... for her. You may never know what you’ve missed out on by judgeing someone right from the get go and that’s the sad part. You may have already lost your soul mate and didn’t even know it.
My parents raised me the same way.. but I’m still attracted to who I’m attracted to. Not to mention basic human instinct tells us to be attracted to the most fit and good quality baring individuals in order to reproduce and create more humans able to thrive and survive.
I agree she was raised right that being said if she was my daughter I will not be comftarble knowing that she has to take care to of her man when they decide to have kids its going to be super hard for her
My grandparents were like this , my grandmother at age 27 lost use of her legs due to MS. My grandfather did everything for her never lost any love for her . They were married 65 years before she passed he passed 10 years later from cancer at 96 . They raised me from age 5 my grandfather was my hero.
I have spinal injury and my wife complains when she have to take care of me. So I told her if your not happy and can't handle it. You can leave it is ok. Today she packing her stuff and ready to leave. I watching this videos and I was so happy for him.
It’s more of a jealousy thing. Most people will never meet anyone who loves them for themselves so when they see a couple that actually does they don’t want to accept it.
I just about choked at Alabama Snakerider. Then yeah, googled and it’s a thing. Not sure if it’s funnier that it’s actually a thing or if Shane had just made it up which was my first thought. 😂🤭🤗 Also, if this relationship isn’t proof that women fall in love with someone’s HEART, SOUL and PERSONALITY... 💜
Can you imagine though like them getting into a fight and then Shane goes like “I know you’re mad at me right now but can you move my leg to the right.”
Every couple goes between giving care and intimacy. Widowed, but I was married 23 yrs. He cared for me after surgeries, I cared for him through a broken leg. He cared for me through pregnancies and births. We cared for each other through flus. Just like every couple, who becomes each others partner and family, it includes both parts of physical care.
I get so confused when people ask about a “line” between caregiving and intimacy. Like have you never done things for a partner while they’re sick or tired or emotional? It’s not different than just being in any relationship and simultaneously doing things for the other person that you love.....
Exactly. I took care of my husband when he was sick with his cancer treatment. It was intimate but not sexual. It defies comprehension that they don't understand the difference
I know right! That was a dumb question, but I guess a lot of people/kids never see someone getting cared for by a family member. It's sad ... My mom was a CNA and my grandmother and I myself have one because I love caring for people. It is a special bond you get when you care for someone, even more so if it was a lover. But there's no line to someone actions of love. Work and love come one in the same. The problem with people these days is they think love is only about sex.
I am only partially physically disabled and in a relationship of 8 years. My other half does 90% of all the work in our home and even prepares my meals. Love has no judgment and has no burden. People shouldn't be judging just because Shane has a physical disability. People should be able to see the person beyond the surface! God bless you both! Continue to be you! Hugs!
Caring. For someone as you say ..its love and not a burden . People who have not been in this position of caring for a partner they just dont understand . You have to help ...you just get on with it .❤
I Love this, intimacy for all couples is about trial and error and talking about it! (Perhaps even the occasional injury 😂) It doesn't matter if you are abled bodied or not, everyone's needs are different!
You are 100% correct. As soon as he mentioned injury I could stop laughing at some of the stupid things my husband and I have tried and failed with over the years 😂😂😂 I think that's half the fun. It's like every couple have their own little personal comedy about their sexual experiences together 😂😂😂
@@basil_leaf You can't be serious? This disabled couple stooped low and resorted to virgin shaming. What the hell is wrong with you all of you? The worst part? Some of those comments might actually be written by real 12 year olds. So not only did these two...people, virgin shamed but they also attacked 12 year olds. Jeez, you people are disgusting.
@@wonderlaund don't bother, they won't find anyone to love them because they don't love themselves. They don't believe they're worthy of love, of someone who can actually love them for who they are.
Shane: "Ok Hannah, Caregiving will begin at 10am and end at 11am, then intimate touching will begin at 11:05am promptly. DO NOT get those confused!" lol
I found it interesting and fascinating that Hannah immediately said that Shane has a higher sex drive than her I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that but Hannah looks like she's in her thirties and a woman in her thirties starts to have a much higher sex drive than a man in his thirties I don't know if they would feel comfortable talking about it on this channel they want to keep most of their sex life private but I think it's highly educational and appropriate to talk about I'm in question I have for Shane is would he be open to let another man pleasure his spouse if she so desires? That question was not meant to be rude or anything like that is just an honest question. I hope my question will be answered thank you so much.
@@amywalsh4006 yes it definitely could be extremely damaging to their marriage however there is people that do have those types of relationships and seem to have a happy healthy relationship.

People don’t tend to be grossed out or really rude in public but sadly feel that over the internet they can say whatever they feel as they don’t have to look you in the face.
lol i'll be honest and say that i am very much grossed out by them. but in real life i would never show it to their faces because it's plain rude. i believe most people feel the same way.
@@englishlad6286 I also wonder how long Hannah will b happy with her sex life. I know what I was happy with n my 20's no longer satisfies n my 40's. We humans change & evolve over time. I like to think that when she does start needing more that they will both b smart & mature enough to bring n a 3rd occasionally to act as a surrogate for Shane. Sex problems can KILL a relationship sadly. I hope they will be smart enough to figure it out. Lad, why should they care what his legs look like n shorts? They have stated he had the body of a child...it's a fact. Its a waste of living to worry about trying to hide it.
I don't think MOST people r really 'grossed out' by this couple. That is the take of the mentally immature & narrow mindedness. MOST adults can c the big picture, at least n some small measure. I've always been with men that r 20 years older than myself. The concept is similar n that physical appearance & ability r not significant deciding factors n attraction for Hannah or myself. I feel sorry for those that can't imagine anything past physical appearance, their lives will b very 'small'
Came from my job bartending and found the interesting part of youtube. This is incredibly inspiring. You see so many dates gone wrong at a bar and bad social interactions, but seeing these videos just reminds me that it's truly your personalities that click at the end of the day and not what you wear, how you look, or all these other non sense factors. At the end of the day we are all human and it's our personalities that connect us.
Because of these videos I asked my husband if he would like to “engage in severe intimacy” with no context and his was response was, “That sounds scary, but yes!” 😂
Some people think she's fooling herself. No. She sees everything you see along with everything that you can't see, understand and experience. Mad respect Hannah.
@@michaeltrumph121 Why have you been making comments like this on this video for *9 months?* Incel mentality. Physical appearance is not the most important thing for a lot of people. And she also just might be attracted to him--a lot of people are more attracted based on facial features and don't have preferences for body types. @@nonaide The whole looks don't matter and money doesn't matter is all bull shit, money and looks definitely matter, we are biologically programmed to be that way, that's how our species has evolved and survived for so long. @@nonaide _Physical appearance is not the most important thing for a lot of people_ It may not be the most important thing and some people can have partners that aren't exactly a 10 in the looks department, but no sane woman that is as beautiful as her would be with a disabled person like him. _He seems really funny and fun to be around--that alone is enough for some people_ No, that is never enough. You also need physical interaction and sex. The shit you said is for stupid unrealistic movies, not real life. _And she also just might be attracted to him--a lot of people are more attracted based on facial features and don't have preferences for body types_ I never said he should be Brad Pitt beautiful. The fact that you would decide to put such a picture that clearly is not you is so offensive in different levels that it beats me how you would not have empathy . What a shame .
I actually haven't watched their videos in a while but I know he has been talking meds . So if it the meds I'm beyond happy to see such am improvement ♥️
I have a 9 year old daughter with disabilities. She requires help with every part of daily living. People don't expect me to separate my caregiver role and mom role. I'm expected to do both naturally, which obviously I do. So why would it be any different for you two? Also, if Shane was not disabled when y'all met but became disabled later on, if you left him, people would shame you for leaving him due to his disabilities. However, people have problems accepting that you will date, now marry, him despite his disabilities. It makes absolutely no sense to me. We are all human. And guess what? We are all just one accident, one illness away from being disabled. Treat everyone with respect because in a split second, it could also be you.
Being a parent involved caregiver, it's a little extra for you, but still similar whereas as the intimate part of a relationship doesn't come into play for you (not trying too be mean or out you down)
You are SO right, we're all just an accident away from being disables. WOW. humbling to think about. But being a mom = caregiver. literally. Most people don't think a spouse should be a caregiver -- but truly, we are supposed to love and care for our spouse in sickness, and health.
Very well said because its the truth, im 51 now but when I was 17 I joined Australian Army jogged long distances did lots of weight training as well as a lot of educational lessons my life was going very well near top of my game achieving all my goals in Military that is and one weekend I went for a motorcycle ride and resulted in the amputation of my R leg below knee plus back injuries, but im happy I trust the Lord and his will for me see there is a reason for everything...
My daughter is 28 and has Cerebral Palsy. She is wheelchair bound as well. She married last year and is expecting her first child in February 2021. She has always had a younger appearance than her actual age which caused her to be "babied" by strangers and family alike...so it is still kind of a shock when people find out she is expecting...like duh she's 28 and married...of course they are intimate! I love that you two are being so transparent! There is not enough of this in the world! I'm a big fan!
It's wrong to assume that anyone doesn't have sexual feeling or relation BECAUSE they have a disability. There are many asexual people, and many are also married, but saying that they must e asexual because of of a disabilty is wrong. It also assumes that not having sex is a bad thing or unnatural, which can be insulting to many people.
@@sophielanemusic thank you so much! We are very excited and nervous as well! She spends her days with me while her husband works and then she goes home. The fact that this couple decided to explain their intimate life because of the mean and skeptical comments they frequently get, speaks loudly about the lack of love that exists in the society. I actually feel sorry for the people who cannot understand or have experienced the real love this couple have.
Exactly, it's total jealousy. Most of the ones questioning can't believe it as they can't get partners. I salute this couple for their unbreakable loving bond.
Nothing is wrong in having doubts or questions. Nobody is forcing them bare their lives to the world. They have chosen to do so. If you ask questions and find their situation incredulous, it's not because you have never experienced love. Come on. This is a world of diversity.

I think it is groundbreaking almost revolutionary that you both are tactfully addressing the issue of intimacy.people should be educated more on the mistruths regarding disabilities, and wheel chair bound individuals does not mean they do not have ability to be sexual.its a sensitive topic but awesome that you as a couple have brought it to the table front and center, lol .that meaning the conversation ,not anything else.. it shows you both are deeply in love and comfortable enough to try to answer people's questions,so once and for all the mystery is no more!
It’s frustrating for me because I don’t feel desired sexually because of my muscular dystrophy an cerebral palsy I think sex needs to be less taboo for ppl with disabilities it really needs to be normalized
"Yup, but that leaves more time for intimacy. So, let's go. The libido is raging." lmao Shane, you're a nightmare, but in the best possible way. Also, kind of loving how Hannah seems to be getting more savage with each new video. haha
My best friend is in a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy, and he's with a lady that's not only his wife, but also his helper in daily life tasks. Just because you're in a chair doesn't mean you're not deserving of love and things in life that everyone else has and wants. They don't draw a line either, and he does things, but if he needs assistance his wife is there to help him. I love y'alls relationship❤
Thank you for adding the subtitles, English is not my first language so that's really helpful! And thank you for talking about sexuality this way. I feel it is completely necessary for us as a society to help each other living sexual intimacy as a deep encounter with another person... an encouter that includes communication, tenderness, humour, etc., besides libido, which is also important, of course, but there's so much more! Usually, we are told about 'sex stories' like if the people involved were machines rather than human beings. So thank you a lot. This is important and generous.
This video is more of a tutorial on how to get a girl: wit, kindness, intelligence, compassion, communication, sensitivity, and an amazing sense of humor. Shane really has it all.

Nah, those kind of people rather blame others for getting rejected. That way they dont have to put in the hard work to actually get an attitude adjustment.
This is the world we live in now, where we have this stupid perception that everything has to be perfect in some way. When did actually loving and caring about somebody fly out the window is something we have to be more worried about than abled and disabled people being in love with each other. People suck sometimes so much it makes me sad. You guys are great and i am super happy for both of you. Much love from Estonia
I would like to congratulate both of you for living your lives as you want and brave enough to broadcast your lives and love talking about your intermancy
I didn't even realize how people, including myself, reacted to people with obvious disabilities, until I started working with people who were disabled or differently abled. It was like after a while the disabilities of the people I worked with started to melt away and my focus shifted to their personalities. It's crazy how you start noticing things or not noticing things all bc of proximity.
You hit the nail on the head. When you don't know someone or don't spend time around someone with a disability, the first you might see is the disability. But as you spend time with the person you see them for who they are and the disability fades away.
That's an excellent point... We all need to keep that in mind, myself included, that people who are differently abled, have the same capacity for emotions, personality, intelligence, and the need and want, for relationships and commitment, as anyone else.
I don't think ppl question the functionality of your sexual organs, they question your ability to use them, you guys have been very clear that you don't have much mobility
"Simply being able to walk is reason enough for women to be throwing themselves at you " hahahaha I love that. So true. Ignorant guys writing ignorant comments.😂😂
It's why I can't take incels seriously, especially when they claim their genetics have made them too ugly to women... like this dude is proof it's your personality lmao
I am very happy to see you both! I am partially disabled and spent most of my life doing what I loved. Then my Injury took it all away....what was left was my core that I never truly built until I had to. I've been watching you both for a while and I just want to thank you for educating me, as well as everyone else to what all types of relationships appear and how they can come in different packages. There is NO "normal," it's just love. I love seeing the love you two have. God bless you both.
I spent a large portion of my childhood/teen years thinking I wouldn’t be allowed to date - I used to joke that 90% of people would be repelled by the wheelchair and half of those remaining would be repelled by my personality. (😂) That internalized ableism obviously happened for a lot of reasons - the ignorant people you talk about are a BIG one. (And my family try to gaslight me, telling me these over-positive types, like the lady who cried/called y’all “beautiful,” aren’t a HUGE part of the problem. 😂) I’ve gotten past this some, but as a young 20-something who uses a chair, y’all’s channel is really helpful to see. Helps me further uproot my internalized bullshit. You have no obligation to share, but I really appreciate it, so thank y’all. Hope quarantine’s treating you well.
I recently posted on another one their videos about my sudden disability in relation to my own internalized ableism.... And how difficult it's been for me to accept myself as worthy and lovable. It's crazy and pitiful how terribly ABLEIST our society is! I advocate as much as possible, because this mindset is so incredibly damning and needs to change. Disability can happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME in the way that it did me....(Auto accident)... And the closer people are to understanding, the greater jump they will have on things IF it happens to them or someone they care about.
At a really shitty time in my life as I was on a walk a young guy in a wheelchair was ‘walking’ too, coming towards me. He stopped and started doing awesome little tricks in his wheelchair and I cracked up. I just loved him for that. We shook hands (PRE COVID- nobody freak) and smiled big smiles and carried on our paths of life.
Men aren't as shallow as u think! I met a girl who was wheelchair bound and was so turned on by her positive outlook on life. I wouldnhabe dated her in a heartbeat but we lived in different states to this day she is one of the sexiest women ive ever seen. Not physically but her personality made her so physically attractive. If that makes sense
I taught my son when he was old enough to understand, to never stare at anyone who may be different in some way. I told him they are exactly like we are just different. He is 29 now and I noticed he is so respectful to everyone. He is the type of person that can carry on a convo with anyone and at the same time making them feel comfortable. He doesn't even try, he is just like his mom.....ME. 🤐😄😁 ANYWAY, may I add that I am so glad he learned SOMETHING for me. Kids listen guys.....teach them well!! Love you guys!!
Then you told your son to never stare at anyone. Everyobody is different in some way. Staring just means you're curious, there's nothing wrong with that, you were just teaching him wrong, but I'm glad you still found a way to pat yourself on the back on some RUclips comments!
@northstar2621 your son will be staring at everyone like the little kid that he is, but then you gonna tell him to not stare specifically at THIS one person and somehow you standing in your moral high ground, I'm sure your son wont grow up to be a judgemental person after your picky eyes telling him to specifically stop staring at people with big disabilities, basicaly picking them apart from everybody else, you're such a nice and wholesone person! 😂🤡

Well admittedly, I would probably be caught off guard to discover that you are a couple. Pleasantly surprised might be a better way of putting it. I know that there is someone for everyone, and it honestly gives me the feels to see you both in such a loving relationship. Hell I know perfectly able bodied people that don't have what you guys share. I appreciate the open conversations you have with all of us in RUclips land. Cheers!
people seem to forget that most people take care of their partners when they're sick. if my partner is throwing up or coughing i'm not going to say, sorry, i didn't sign up for this, i'm not your caregiver. lol Hannah might have more frequent helping tasks, but it's still just from love.

I just saw you guys for the first time on SBk! I wish there were more people like you two in the world! We need positivity among relationships especially if one or both partners have a disability. My partner is on the spectrum and does have a hard time in the public setting but we are working through it. I am very excited to share your videos with him and show that love is love!
Sometimes, I washed my ex's hair (he wore it very long ), and it was both intimate and care-giving, and we were both able-bodied, so I IMAGINE it would be similar to you both, It's just an extension of loving someone deeply.
Caring for someone in sickness and in health should be labelled as caretaking.. that's the person you know intimately.. and yes you can wipe their bums in sickness.. lol not a big deal, just don't understand why people fail at understanding real love.. that's your partner, you are a team and take care of each other in different ways, as life presents different challenges - you adapt and overcome together..there are so many guarded people that will never understand true intimacy requires vulnerability and all aspects of love with their partner..fear of unknown and taboos holds them back..
I can't believe you've never been asked by a doctor general questions about whether or not you are intimate. Maybe this is just me being a female (I do not have a disability) but I have been asked quite literally almost every time I've visited a medical professional since I was about 13 for the purpose of informing their diagnoses or recommendations. I feel like I learn so much with every video you guys make and I become more and more frustrated by the way people with disabilities of any kind are assumed to experience the world. Thank you for being open to these tough questions and helping so many people learn.
That was a surprise to me too. Ever since I hit puberty, I've been asked by doctors if I'm sexually active. So strange to me that they've never asked him before, especially since he has had other relationships.
I do wonder if that is a female or an able-bodied thing (or both). Any men or other people here that wanna share their experiences? Have you been asked if you are being intimate?
I guess it doesn't affect medical care quite so much for men (if you can get pregnant, they have to verify that you aren't before every single little thing) but it seems irresponsible to never have offered him STD testing or anything ever in his life! Hannah isn't his first girlfriend or anything....

This is an excellent point!!

This!
Thank you for putting that. I was trying to think how to word it because Shane and Hannas relationship is totally normal. X
But did you have to carry him to the toilet and clean him after intimacy , year after year?
Ok. Shane’s haircut is proof that everything happens for a reason. So suave.
In a military way?

I get so confused when people ask about a “line” between caregiving and intimacy. Like have you never done things for a partner while they’re sick or tired or emotional? It’s not different than just being in any relationship and simultaneously doing things for the other person that you love.....
I legitimately don't know how people can't comprehend that.🙄
I'm not disabled and I thought that too. Some people just can't comprehend it I guess, or they're just not educated enough
I thought the same thing! If a partner is drunk too, you're going to be doing a fair amount of caregiving but that's just how it is...
Hugs!
I wish my son could know this kind of love.
How is that not a burden, if one does 90%? Yes, it must be love...
Caring. For someone as you say ..its love and not a burden .
People who have not been in this position of caring for a partner they just dont understand .
You have to help ...you just get on with it .❤

I also wonder how long Hannah will b happy with her sex life.

When you think about every single healthy relationship has caregiving aspects to it... so makes sense that you don't separate the two :)
My daughter is 28 and has Cerebral Palsy. She is wheelchair bound as well. She married last year and is expecting her first child in February 2021. It's wrong to assume that anyone doesn't have sexual feeling or relation BECAUSE they have a disability. There are many asexual people, and many are also married, but saying that they must e asexual because of of a disabilty is wrong.
We shook hands (PRE COVID- nobody freak) and smiled big smiles and carried on our paths of life.
aww you deserve love I hope you get it, its even hard for me takes forever to find love and a lot of work
Men aren't as shallow as u think!
@@AlexandreG It's rude to stare, apparently YOU weren't told that.
@@AlexandreG No one said he's taught not to stare only certain people except you. Relax
.wise words indeed . You should be so proud 👌
I love how Shanes life is ruled by machines and technology and he has them all mastered but a mic wind sock gets the better of him! It's the simple things in life Shane! Brilliant.
I freakin love this couple! Lol When Shane keeps the jokes going & she just shakes her head lol! I cry laughing!
Great video, well done guys, this series is helping to educate people to realise that disability does not equal celibacy.
So instead of being overfilled with blood, Shane is overfilled with libido lol.
For all the guys that wonder how Shane can pull a girl, look at that guys confidence and how what an interesting person he is.
You are the men 🙌🏻💪🏻
Get real, he must have money, otherwise no woman would ever look at him.
@@michaeltrumph121 Agreed. There's some catch here.
if someone can be in relation ship with people like Shane is something i can understand for other people. Personally i would never be in a relation ship with a man like Shane even if he was the most caring person in the world and even if he could have sex with me. NEVER. Of course i could have been friends with such people. No problem at all. I could alse take care such people if they were my relatives. Thats life!
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
So interesting, think of all the interesting stuff they do together! Feeding him, taking him to the toilet, putting him in bed, washing him and so on. Very stimulating.
I only casually watch this channel but every time it feels like I’m just hanging out with my couple friends or something so down to earth, keep up the good work 🙌❤️
Well admittedly, I would probably be caught off guard to discover that you are a couple. Cheers!
I sing your theme song to my dog accentuating the flat notes 😂🐶
people seem to forget that most people take care of their partners when they're sick. if my partner is throwing up or coughing i'm not going to say, sorry, i didn't sign up for this, i'm not your caregiver. lol Hannah might have more frequent helping tasks, but it's still just from love.
This is my first time viewing your channel & I showed my daughter to see her thoughts (she's 10) and she made me feel so great as a parent because she said "so what, they're in love" and that made me so happy... btw I only showed her the beginning before the intimate conversation
Jocelyn Bodden- Your daughters statement was beautiful and its also a reflection on how you have raised her. 😊
You are doing a great job mommy 😍😍
It’s nice that you all were able to dispel misconceptions. Thank you.
Thank you for adding the subtitles/captions!!!
Hes so confident.. when he laughed off the people saying "why are you with this man baby" instead of getting offended.. that was great! Shows how much of a man you really are as opposed to those rude ignorant fools!
And the people that say that are just jealous of your love.
Thanks for the info and laughs guys ❤️
You are the real ignorant here, be real, they are not a couple and just actors
Honestly this gives me hope! You two are great together
This woman is an amazing human being. You two are exemplary humans.
"The Alabama Snake Rider", and Shane is so deadpan when he says it. I lost it!
He's so inspirational! He's not bitter or resentful about his situation and he's just a happy soul
Your personalities compliment each other so nicely! I love it!
This is one of the most sweetest, kindest, examples of true love . 💘
Omg I love your twin souls and sense of humor! It's so evident how well you both understand each other and make it work. Love to watch yoy both 💜
I can't believe you've never been asked by a doctor general questions about whether or not you are intimate.
So strange to me that they've never asked him before, especially since he has had other relationships.
me too. and when I was like 16 or 17 I said I was never intimate, the doctor didnt believe me and prescribed me the pill lol
I’m surprised they don’t ask him because sexual health is part of an annual wellness exam!
