That catch Kelce made at his ankles? Gronk could never make that. Kelce makes elite WR catches, that's why he has numbers that only Jerry Rice surpassed. Kelce is always available too, he's #1.
Gronk’s number 1. Leading the league in reception TDs is ridiculous with a record number for any TE. The resume is there with the 4 rings too but what puts him over Travis without question is his blocking. You can argue over their job as pass catchers all day with Travis’ speed and ability to create space to Gronk’s physicality and his ability to make nothing into something by running people over. But tight ends also are responsible for blocking and Gronk was by far the greatest when it came to blocking. While Travis is decent he is definitely not elite as a blocker. There are multiple names you can put among current players that are better than Kelce at blocking with number 1 being Kittle. At no point in Gronk’s prime was there someone that was a better weapon or blocker which is the difference for me.

Because the middle of the field is like the Autobahn it's way to open nowadays that's what he's getting all those not disregarding his success just saying it is what it is
Travis Kelce is the second best Wide Receiver in Play Off history. That's where I will different from RC. A Tight End who doesn't block, is a Possession WR. Period. As TIGHT ENDS go, no I don't think he is better than Gronk, better than Kittle even, because they DO the entire package, and the primary job of a TE is TO BLOCK. Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Jimmy Graham, Travis Kelce all are AMAZING possession receivers, but not one of them blocked/blocks worth a damn. You can't do only HALF the job description, and technically the lesser half of the actual job, and call them the best ever. You want to call them the best scoring TE? OK. But again, that is just a big, slow, Wide Receiver at that point.
patrick mahomes is so great that kelce vs gronk has actually become a discussion because if you watched both in their primes, its actually really obvious that gronk is better.

Every 3 years there is a new greatest tight end ever. The league is pass happy, rules favor offense, people will continue to put up bigger numbers passing with each year that passes. These people just looking at the passing game and calling a guy the greatest misses the mark.
I’m leaning towards yes. In the same amount of games he has passed Gronk in yards and receptions. And he’s not that far behind in TDs. And he’s shown no signs of slowing down, Kelce might be the greatest TE of all time
I think RC is jumping the gun just a little bit. I think when it’s all said and done Kelce will have three or four rings and will records like most yards by a TE all time I mean this dude is a stat machine and has bare min of 1k yards every year since I could remember and will have the most TD by a TE ever. This guy might get the ball, but no way he’s The best.
He's the GOAT. Straight up. Look at the numbers, look at the records, look at the film, nobody can stop him, he's the GOAT.
@@tylerprince3496 Gronk averages about 7 less yards per game compared to Kelce but is in another stratosphere in regards to blocking. Kelce is in the debate but Gronk is clear.
Boy we know Gronk was the best freak of nature tight end to this date. Caught in moment ass TV people
Ok I’m confused how can he be the best TE if back in the day the middle of the field wasn’t as open as it is in todays game I feel like it’s not fair
Greatest yea but Gronk was best at being all over the field from outside to slot to fullback and still acting like an offensive linemen in the run game
Not yet but if the chiefs keep winning he will be because all of those records will get broken as long as he stays healthy
It’s gronk. Shannon sharpe. Tony gpnzalez and Kelce on Mount Rushmore of tight ends
These analysts are the biggest prisoner of the moment guys. If gronk was doing what he did now and Kelse was retired they would say gronk is the best
I Understand him being in the Convo but We wouldn’t be saying that if he was never with mahomes and Andy Reid, not better than Gonzalez or Gronk 💯 if kittle was with the chiefs this whole time we’d be saying the same thing about him also
Ppl in media have goldfish memories for the click bait. Gronk was getting triple team and putting up these numbers. Shannon Sharpe got 10k yds when TEs weren't even viewed as WRs. Gonzales literally was the iron man for TES. Antonio Gates was the only rival closest to Gonzales during his Era. He's in the convo for top 10 but he's not dethroning any of these guys yet. At best, he's on par with Gates.
Because the middle of the field is like the Autobahn it's way to open nowadays that's what he's getting all those not disregarding his success just saying it is what it is
Has not passed Tony Gonzalez and Gronk yet imo. He can get there, but not yet
Tony Gonzalez put up his stats without an all time great quarterback
If he had Patrick omg
Rob Gronkowski is the greatest blocking tight end in NFL history
He's the best postseason Tight end of all time...that's worth something.
patrick mahomes is so great that kelce vs gronk has actually become a discussion because if you watched both in their primes, its actually really obvious that gronk is better.
Lmao thank you
They are different, Gronk never ran routes like Kelce.
Rc need to stop smoking because gronk is the GOAT...
With this tweet you just adited your on drugs Kelse is miles better than Gronk no debates
Regardless of stats, the eye test tells me gronk is better
Wtf
He’s not the greatest ever, but if I could draft one TE for his whole career, it’s Kelce because he’s big, unguardable, and the grand daddy of them all is that he never get injured.
Ryan Clark mentioned them all except Gronk. Gronk is Gronk.
You know it's fake analysis marinated with eloquent English when they tell you Travis Kelsey is the greatest TE ever, with two chips to Gronk's 4 but won't say Andy Reid is better than Bill Belichick
Gronk won more than Travis. Big plays consistently was gronk. This is not a debate. Gronk was better even when they were both playing. People said kittle was an better all around tight end....right now. Gronk blocking is better c'mon like I can keep going
Tony Gonzalez never had a QB as good as Elway, Brady or Mahomes
I don't know why teams just don't shadow him. I normally agree with Ryan Clark but Travis Kelce is not the greatest TE. He is one of the greatest.
Every 3 years there is a new greatest tight end ever. The league is pass happy, rules favor offense, people will continue to put up bigger numbers passing with each year that passes. These people just looking at the passing game and calling a guy the greatest misses the mark.
So we gon act like Gonzalez had a QB like Mahomes or a coach like Reid 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣
He called Bill Walsh....Steve Walsh...lol
He’s easily Top 3….he has the yards & the rings
He will be No 1 after 2-3 more seasons playing at this level
I’m leaning towards yes.
In the same amount of games he has passed Gronk in yards and receptions. And he’s not that far behind in TDs. And he’s shown no signs of slowing down, Kelce might be the greatest TE of all time
I think if Kelce wins a 3rd I'd be comfortable saying he's the greatest. I think he is a first ballot HOF player though already though.
I think RC is jumping the gun just a little bit. I think when it’s all said and done Kelce will have three or four rings and will records like most yards by a TE all time I mean this dude is a stat machine and has bare min of 1k yards every year since I could remember and will have the most TD by a TE ever. After he gets one or two more bling and those two honors I think he’ll be the 🐐 of TE but as of rn I’ll say he’s four behind Gronk, Tony G, and sharpe in that order.
Wow KC has had Tony Gonzalez wooooohooo and now we have Travis !! We rock!!
This is a Shaq vs Kareem argument . Gronk is most dominant while Kelce will be the greatest
It’s Gronk easily
In this version of the NFL maybe but in my opinion Gates, Gonzalez and Gronk are still ahead of him.
The fact that the rules open up the middle of the field now.. Gronk the best.. missed multiple years, retired another..
I think Gronk & Gonzalez are better, but he's up there for sure
We suffer from recency bias pretty bad Kelce is top 3 for sure maybe even 2 but gronk definitely has the top spot
I think after this last SB, no doubt that Travis Kelce is the best ever….period
The only player to catch more TDs in the playoffs is Jerry Rice. He’s the best ever folks.
