Anyone griping abut the holding call should watch the second half of last year's AFC championship game. The Bengals mugged Chiefs receivers on EVERY play and were not called for it. They went to the Super Bowl using that strategy. DBs are coached to hold in the red-zone as they would rather have a holding call than give up a score. Bradberry was beat on that return route, Mahomes would have hit him and it would have been a first down regardless. The route was not intended to go to the end zone. That's just where JuJu had to take it once he was held on the out cut. A lot of people talking about things they don't even understand.
If you had told me, as an Eagles fan, that the Eagles would have had a 10 point lead at halftime and only let the Chiefs have 4 possessions in the 2nd half, I would have taken it.
Mahomes saw the hold and over threw it because he knew would get the first down he immediately pointed to the hold even before the flag was thrown.. Patrick is very smart
Eagle's defense was exposed. Average opposing offense rank 17.8, average opposing passing rank 19.3, when facing a team with a quarterback ranked in the top 16 of qbr they gave up an average of 31.7 points.
Hey Dan, you could be mad about it from now till Timbuktu Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are chilling today enjoying that Vince Lombardi trophy brother🤣🤣🤣
Yes, the Eagles had the # 1 defense. If I correctly remember, when the Chiefs played the Chargers in game 2 they were regarded as one of the best defenses in the league and lose to the a Chiefs. Against Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers had the best defense...and lost. Against the 49ers won by 21 and the 49er's were rated #1. Chiefs had a top 5 schedule against the best teams in all of the NFL. The Chiefs don't care who they play. They just win.
It's was a great game, one the greatest Superbowl I seen both teams play well and for it to come to a feild goal ended you couldn't write up better but someone had to win this really seal Patrick Mahomes legacy this early in his career.
I'm a chiefs fan and over this past week I gained a bunch of respect for the Eagles and their fans. Way more classy group of fans than I have been led to believe. On the other hand, I have lost a lot of respect for media members trying to whip up controversy. A blatant holding call was missed earlier in the game on Bradberry, I guarantee that the chiefs told the officials to watch Bradberry close after that play.
9:53 thank you! Being a saints fan and living through that, we still lost the game and had to eat it. Not calling the hold would not have guaranteed anything or prevented anything. Once again, that Nola No Call was the toughest thing for a saints fan to have lived through because that flag being thrown coulda shoulda woulda sent us to the superbowl. Now people just have to see a certain level of officiating against their team and nod and smile like we have to do. Still can’t believe our player got helicoptered out of bounds, nothing. Whew, Lawd got my pressure up! Lol
Please stop with your whining BS. The call against the Eagles ended the game. The no call on the Saints did NOT end the game. Not only did the Saints not stop the Rams from tying the game, the Saints won the coin toss for overtime. It was Brees who threw the pick that LOST you the game.

No, it was the Eagles' defense running out a gas by the end of the game. The Chiefs figured out how both Aaron Rodgers (in a losing effort) and Dak Prescott (in a winning effort) were able to neutralize the Eagles' normally frightening defense.
I was very surpised to see the KC defense make plays, both in this game and the previous round against Cincy. The Eagles defense was surprisingly bad. Im used to seeing their front four put tons of pressure on opposing QBs. Good job KC.

So if “moments matter” then shouldn’t the players also know that and not cause penalties? It was 100% a good call. Players fault for holding in a big moment.
Stephen A's closing comments, while including 3 possible outcomes, were accurate, don't forget that Kansas City's defense, a series before the tie by the Eagles, had stopped the Eagles with a 3 and out.

Great game, great teams, great quarterbacks. Two outlier plays - Hurts' fumble and Toney's punt return - perhaps decided the game. The penalty call at the end was dubious, but KC likely would have gotten a field goal anyway, so that is less important. Oddly, KC gained more yards on the ground than the Eagles; the Eagles gained more yards in the air: this was unexpected.
No one was complaining when the fumble touchdown was called back or when the challenge for the completed catch was ruined but everyone all about an actual holding call lol
If the refs hadn't called the penalty, everyone would be questioning the integrity of the game. It was a great game. Patrick is just the best closer in the NFL.
Chiefs made second half adjustments… They contained Hurts when he was a runner , Chiefs tightened up the defense and Andy Reid had a better game plan in the second half

congrats to the Chiefs for a huge win in the biggest game of the year. As far as the hold, it was a hold and not only but the others was holding too look at the tape. They had been hands on all game this time they got called for it. What about the Eagles OL not getting false starts? The whole line would lunge forward before the snap and on more than one occasion a O lineman stood up before the snap/ see Lane Johnson stand up before the snap on a 3rd down pass play. Just love the commentary from the TV crew (" you see this guy stand up before the snap wich makes it look like a false start, but it only looks that way! But to the trained eye it is not")? Wait what now, he stood up before the snap clearly yet it really wasn't a false start? Then suggest that anyone who thinks that was a false start must have a untrained eye or maybe not smart enough to know what a false start is... Just can't make that kind of stuff up! Oh yes there was the encroachment on Clark ( the play clock ran down to 0 seconds before he went into the neutral zone) , wait "it just looked that way to the untrained eye"? Or maybe the Encroachment on Nodi ( he went into the neutral zone and pulled back without touching anyone before the snap) then the O line jumped up and reached across the neutral zone to touch him and drawed a flag giving them a first down on 4th a 3? Truth is the refs pretty much let the game play out as they should have done. Oh yes the strip recovery returned for a TD getting overturned was bad as was the catch going out of bounds, to be clear "two feet down with control and a football move, this includes pulling the ball in, turning to go up field or taking another step" in the field of play is a catch. Two feet down while bobbling the ball then coming down out of bounds is not a catch, you must establish passion with Two feet or other body parts in bounds and control the ball all the way through going to the ground. he did not. fact look it up.
I'm not a fan of either team, and I'm with you. The Eagles' false start non-calls were driving me insane. It was egregious and constant. It looked like the officials were trying to ignore the one false start they did throw. If the entire defensive line wasn't screaming, I'm sure it would have gone unflagged.
Cowboys fan here! Happy Eagles lost. Regardless of the fumble Eagles played a great game and don’t think the loss should fall on Jalen Hurts. Chiefs just outplayed Eagles & made key readjustments in the 2nd half. Jalen Hurts is an outstanding QB & I know he will lead his team to a Superbowl win but he is not Patrick Mahomes.

That dude has a comeback spirit. It's the Mahomes factor. Coach and Mahomes are on the same page with their team. Great day for the Chiefs. The dude is tougher than he looks.
Bro the only reason this game was so close was because of the amount time it took the eagles to score literally almost every time the cheifs got the ball they had a chance at scoring or scored but the fact they didn’t get ball first they had to play from behind
He said after the game that wasn’t the case. Dude just has a ton of heart and literally leaves it all out there on the field for his coaches and his teammates.
They need to give it a rest and stop trying to blame the refs. Eagles had a 10 point lead and blew it. Mahomes is that dude and bradberry admitted to holding. The fact that he actually admitted to holding and people still blaming the refs is insane.
This guy said” there was holding all night long and that’s the call they make” that sounds a lot worse cause. he’s admitting there should’ve been more calls against the eagle but weren’t being called. The one moment it is called it’s bad Officiating. The fact they can say that with a straight face blows my mind. Do they even think before they talk.

@@tynao2029 You literally just admitted that they got 14 points off of the Eagles mistakes. How are you gonna blame the Chiefs for the Eagles messing up? Your argument is irrelevant the Chiefs exposed the Eagles for who they actually were.
Also not to mention they didn’t get 7 from the refs. They actually got 7 taken away because Nick Bolton should have had a 2nd TD but it got overturned. So idk what your argument is but the Chiefs were the best team the Eagles had seen all year and the Eagles weren’t ready for it. Eagles had 0 sacks, didn’t stop the Chiefs a single time in the 2nd half, the defense got torched on literally the exact same play twice, Hurts gave up 7 on a fumble, and Mahomes only had a bad ankle. It’s not luck it’s skill, but I guess you can’t see that through all your tears. Cry Eagles Cry.

Congratulations 🎉 Patrick/chiefs
Eagles should have won
@@trewilliams8411 They should have, could have, would have, but didn't

If you had told me, as an Eagles fan, that the Eagles would have had a 10 point lead at halftime and only let the Chiefs have 4 possessions in the 2nd half, I would have taken it.
Mahomes saw the hold and over threw it because he knew would get the first down he immediately pointed to the hold even before the flag was thrown.. Patrick is very smart
Yeah he realized he slipped the ref a couple thousand earlier in the game and he was gonna be good
nobody saw anything, Mahomes got outplayed by Hurts
Yes look how off he was on his route. Great call. Dude held him twice obviously.
never a hold even the play by play guy knows
They SHUT dan DOWN 🤣😆 THE EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE IS PRICELESS 😂😃😆🤣😄😁😃😂🤣😆

Lol
Facctttssssssss!!!!!!!!!and it was a clear PI he closed line tommy lee
Please stop with your whining BS. The call against the Eagles ended the game. The no call on the Saints did NOT end the game. Not only did the Saints not stop the Rams from tying the game, the Saints won the coin toss for overtime. It was Brees who threw the pick that LOST you the game.
We are witnessing the Micheal Jorden of football, we should be honored to see Mr. Patrick Mahomes is the NEW G.O.A.T
No we’re not 😂😂😂 MJ didn’t lose when he got to the finals, mahomes already did. MJ made the finals in 3 years in a row and won every single one TWICE. That’s not even a comparison
@@jamgamer MJ was great but had a losing record his first 3 years. He was the Celtics & Piston's bitsch for 6 years in a row. Thank God for Phil Jackson & Scottie Pippen.

That eagles d-line when facing a good o-line this season vs the lions and chiefs combined for a total of 1 sack!!!! Build on the trenches and you can compete with them all day 🤙🏼
crazy to think in one offseason we lost our best WR, CB, Safety and still won a super bowl😭
Mahomes cooked them birds like cajun chicken
So if “moments matter” then shouldn’t the players also know that and not cause penalties? It was 100% a good call. Players fault for holding in a big moment.
The D B holded Ju Ju , from start to finish. Alot of people mad because the Eagles lost the game. It was the right call . This was good game.

Ryan Clark is so good man!
Stephen A's closing comments, while including 3 possible outcomes, were accurate, don't forget that Kansas City's defense, a series before the tie by the Eagles, had stopped the Eagles with a 3 and out.
Chiefs are really good. Andy Reid with Patrick mahomes is one of a kind.

As much as it pains me to say, people have been saying we (Eagles) had an overrated if not weak schedule all season. Maybe they were right. Smh

RC with the logic and shooting down the ridiculous take of Dan..
Stephen A. Philly faced that same offense in Detroit, the first game and the eagles won 38-35. The Kansas city Q. B. made the difference not the official HE HELD HIM !
That was the game of the year, I do have a problem with the holding call on BradBerry. That was a hold , but I was throw in that situation in the Super Bowl!

Or he leaves it all out on the field for his teammates coaches and family. All it takes. Want it.
