What Mahomes is doing is so incredibly unique in sports history and as a lifelong Chiefs fan it is the most surreal feeling that I can't even describe with words. We are witnessing a generational player that has the best natural ability ever seen at the position, an absolutely ELITE mentality and toughness, mental processing that has developed exponentially over his short career, individual accolades that already put him above some of the greatest of all time like Manning, Elway, Rodgers, and many more. And his leadership and humility are so beyond his years it's actually hard to believe.
Patrick Lavon Mahomes II is the most flashy, exciting and joyous to watch player ever seen in the NFL and he has the competitiveness of a Michael Jordan and he might be the most clutch player of all time already. I can't say enough good things about Pat and I'm just so thankful that he is a Chief and can't wait to see his career play out. Hope Andy and Travis stick around for a while longer so we can get this thing rolling. How bout those Chiefs baby!!!

You have to wonder how many great quarterbacks have worked with the wrong coach, and never reached their potential. Years ago, Josh Freeman was an All Pro with Tampa Bay. The Bucs got in a new head coach, who went out of his way to DESTROY the qb, and he went from All Pro to out of the league in two years. Mahomes was put in the best position possible. And then...he took his game to another level. But, I am glad that he got Andy Reid.

One other thing that Mahomes accomplished that no one else has is lead the league in passing yards and win the Super Bowl in the same season. The list of QB's who merely made it to the Super Bowl the same year as leading the league in passing yards includes Brady (twice), Marino, Warner, Gannon, and Peyton Manning. All of them lost.

The Chiefs will find, as the Patriots found, that top level players will be willing to take a slightly lower salary for a couple of years in order to have the chance to get a Super Bowl ring. I think as long as Andy Reid is the Chiefs coach, they will be in the Super Bowl at least every other season. I think Reid will be around at least 6 more years. That means 3 more Super Bowls for Mahomes. He probably wins 2 of those 3. That would have him winning 4 Super Bowls and losing 2 Super Bowls. Even at this point with Mahomes numbers and 2 Super Bowl wins, he's a lock to get into the Hall of Fame.

If you're ever considered to be the best in your entire sport for even a season, you are probably an HOF. I don't mean winning an MVP or individual award in a given season (for example - Jim Brown and Mike Trout, though each has 3 MVP, each was/has been considered the best player in their sport every season they played regardless of who won the MVP). Mahomes fits that profile.

Chiefs Kingdom: We must all take the time to appreciate this. I mean we have to be so grateful that Patrick Mahomes II is our franchise QB. He is someone who, by the time he gets close to hanging his cleats up, will already likely be considered the greatest QB to ever play. What he has accomplished in just FIVE years as the starting QB at his age is mind boggling. SB rings should not be the 'end all be all' Stat for determining a QBs greatness but it's good to know that, in addition to all of his AMAZING achievements in just 5 years, that he ALSO is a proven winner at the biggest stage. What he did in the 2nd half of SB LVII I am Still speechless. So just take a moment Chiefs Kingdom. It could be SOOOO MUCH worse. There are franchises in the league - and even in our very division like LA/LV - who let's face it, are of little to no consequence.
