If you're ever considered to be the best in your entire sport for even a season, you are probably an HOF. I don't mean winning an MVP or individual award in a given season (for example - Jim Brown and Mike Trout, though each has 3 MVP, each was/has been considered the best player in their sport every season they played regardless of who won the MVP). Mahomes fits that profile.
When they lost to Cincinnati in the AFC Championship, I thought they just ran out of gas after playing 10 great quarters in a row. They did not have a bye.
@@TsorovanZero If I'm Lamar I'm absolutely looking to move to the NFC. It's going to be hard to win AFC north with Burrow being there. Also Herbert should move out of AFC west. The chargers are wasting his talent and this division is just too stacked.

We're watching something very special. I was 6 years old when Brady was ascending so caught 2/3rds of his career. Here I am 28 years old, having watched the Goat retire and now I get to watch Mahomes ascend in his stead? I have to assume this is what it felt like to watch Brady become Brady. In 10 years I think I'll be able to say I saw the 2 greatest QBs of all time make their mark. Wild.
This super bowl is so much more impressive. Lost tyreek hill and tyrann mathieu, people said they wouldn’t make the playoffs and they won the super bowl lol
Every generation has its pinnacle player: Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway, Marino. Now we get to enjoy watching Mahomes. But I wouldn't bet against Mahomes doing it.
All those years of sucking and never thinking we could even make the playoffs and win just 1 game. It's unbelievable what has transpired in KC over the past 5 years. I remember throwing my hands up in the air so many times and saying "I'm done with this team, why even waste my time watching?" .....and then we drafted a little known QB outta Texas Tech. Whatta freakin ride it's been man!
I think this year coming up or he’s going to check back to back off of the list of accolades when he takes down Super Bowl 58 in the Raiders house, which happens to be Derrick Thomas is retired number
This guy just said he might not know if Mahomes will make it back, my dude he’s been to 3 in 4 years. Aaron is likely only gonna end up playing in 1 and that was 12 years ago.
I'd give Mahomes 3 to 4 Bowl wins total. What Brady did is so incredible I'm not sure we see that broken in our lifetime. Unless Mahomes wins each bowl for the next 4-5 years (Andy Reid is 65) I don't think he catches him. Mind you Brady went to 10 total and those 3 he lost 2 of them they should have won.
@@Jakery1057 and of the 7 he won they could have lost some as well And of the 10 superbowl he went to he could have not gone to some as well going by your logic
The AFC is loaded with good teams and top 10 QBS. The NFC has at least 3 tier 1 teams with powerhouse defenses. If the Chiefs win the Superbowl this year, it's a wrap. Patrick Mahomes is the G.O.A.T.
Will Mahomes win another? Won Superbowl with a lot of cheap rookies and 11 or 12 draft picks this year. And who is picking them you ask Brett freaking Veatch. Win another you ask. I think future bright. Dynasty coming up!
Chiefs Kingdom: We must all take the time to appreciate this. I mean we have to be so grateful that Patrick Mahomes II is our franchise QB. He is someone who, by the time he gets close to hanging his cleats up, will already likely be considered the greatest QB to ever play. What he has accomplished in just FIVE years as the starting QB at his age is mind boggling. SB rings should not be the 'end all be all' Stat for determining a QBs greatness but it's good to know that, in addition to all of his AMAZING achievements in just 5 years, that he ALSO is a proven winner at the biggest stage. What he did in the 2nd half of SB LVII I am Still speechless. So just take a moment Chiefs Kingdom. It could be SOOOO MUCH worse. There are franchises in the league - and even in our very division like LA/LV - who let's face it, are of little to no consequence. Let's appreciate this amazing, incomparable kid who is the face of our franchise! Long live the Kansas City Chiefs!
The AFC is flush with Quarterback talent. Mahomes currently is King. But much respect to Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence. The NFC by contrast has Jalen Hurts. Okay, one could make an argument for Dak Prescott and alright Arron Rogers had a bad season and will be back next season. But that's speculative. Point being, the best at the quarterback position in the NFL currently all have AFC addresses.
Mahomes is now chasing Montana and Brady. It’s disrespectful to even compare Burrow, Allen or Herbert to him until one of them wins a Super Bowl of their own.
I don't think it's disrespectful. They are all very young and very talented. It remains to be seen how everything will shake out the next 10+ years for this group of QB's. The only thing we know right now is that Mahomes has accomplished enough to be a Hall of Famer. We'll see how it goes the rest of the way for him and the other guys around the league.
@@DRM-nb1fg until one of them wins a Super Bowl or MVP, it’s disrespectful. He has two of each. He’s in another stratosphere. There’s zero debate to have.
I think Rodgers is in the same ballpark when it comes to physical talent. I just don't think he has the same drive and leadership qualities. Rodgers has had similar highlight plays with scrambling and crazy throws outside of the pocket. Weird arm angles as well. However, he's distant when it comes to the rest of the qualities that seems to put Mahomes over the top.
I don't think he get to 8 SB wins in 10 attempts to that is a lot maybe we see them he be the GOAT best of all time . He the best QB in the NFL for sure . Hopefully someone can knock them off this year .
By everything that rich Eisen is saying just think for a second Patrick Mahomes has done what he’s done with good talent. Don’t give me wrong. He has Travis Kelce and he had hill. But just think of the talent that possibly might want to come play with Patrick Mahomes just to have a shot at the Super Bowl just like Brady had all that talent around him all them years but yet Brady‘s defense doesn’t get enough credit, it deserves for the Super Bowls they were in!
There's an even more elite club Mahomes is in that Manning isn't: Patrick Mahomes is just the 3rd QB in NFL history to have multiple league MVPs *and* Super Bowl MVPs. And just the second to get two of those in the same league year (Kurt Warner in 1999). Mahomes could quit right now and be in Canton in 5 years, book it
Chiefs Kingdom is so unbelievably blessed to have its own Mt. Rushmore: Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones are the bastions of what can probably be called a dynasty by now (even though they haven't technically met the often-aired standards of three titles in 5 seasons). I would wager that all four will end up in Canton, and that Mahomes and Kelce will retire as the best to ever play their respective positions. And unlike the Patriots' two dynasties were, this Chiefs one is fueled by doubts from the consensus of sports pundits who would rather hype the Bills, Ravens, Chargers, Bengals, or any other team powered by a young superstar QB than face the fact that as of right now, the start that Mahomes has achieved to his career is entirely unprecedented in NFL history. In the words of Mitch Holthus: "You can doubt the Chiefs; you can dislike the Chiefs; you can disrespect the Chiefs. You're going to have to deal with the Chiefs." Keep doubting, y'all. We'll see who has the last laugh.
I’m glad Rich called Brockman out lmao. He always makes little sneaky remarks about mahomes and then is like “what?? I like him???” Like bro, shut up lol. I don't mean winning an MVP or individual award in a given season (for example - Jim Brown and Mike Trout, though each has 3 MVP, each was/has been considered the best player in their sport every season they played regardless of who won the MVP). Mahomes fits that profile.
Imagine being a bears fan and the opportunity to have had Mahomes lol
He is already a lock for the Hall of Fame.
We're 1 coinflip and 1 bad Mahomes quarter away from 5 SB out of the last 5 years, and he would have beaten the Rams
When they lost to Cincinnati in the AFC Championship, I thought they just ran out of gas after playing 10 great quarters in a row. They did not have a bye.
Sometime soon I imagine a couple of those young QB's he mentioned is going to figure out they have better chance moving to NFC..
Lamar should be thinking about that right now.
@@TsorovanZero If I'm Lamar I'm absolutely looking to move to the NFC. It's going to be hard to win AFC north with Burrow being there. Also Herbert should move out of AFC west. The chargers are wasting his talent and this division is just too stacked.
Its a reason Brady did it. He knew the Chiefs and Mahomes were coming for his legacy. Say what you want about the Pats messed up relationship with Brady. He knew Mahomes was coming.
@@Bruno2777 Burrow is trash. he chokes in Playoffs. his QBR in Playoffs is 55 and 56. YES THOSE are facts! Burrow and Allen are same. No difference. One game here and there, but he's not as great as everyone makes him to be. Burrow is at best Herbert with BOYD, MIXON, Higgins, Chase, HURST. ... DAMMM
Shot out to my man Peyton Manning and his 5 MVPs.
Thank you.
Came up small too many times in the big games. Regular Season monster
If Mahomes stays healthy & plays just 7-10 yrs, he'll tie or top it.
@@carl13220 💓you, Peyton from Henderson, CO!!!
Shout out to his 9 one and done in the playoffs, and he played the majority of his career in a domed stadium
Add, Mahomes also broke the Madden Curse 😂
We're watching something very special. I was 6 years old when Brady was ascending so caught 2/3rds of his career. Here I am 28 years old, having watched the Goat retire and now I get to watch Mahomes ascend in his stead? I have to assume this is what it felt like to watch Brady become Brady. In 10 years I think I'll be able to say I saw the 2 greatest QBs of all time make their mark. Wild.
this guy is the GOAT ,,I'm lucky to be his fan
You can play the perfect game against Mahomes and still lose. I have never seen anything like it.
I cant wait for Netflix Quarterback documentary!!! Im gonna watch the heck outta Mahomes!!!
This super bowl is so much more impressive. Lost tyreek hill and tyrann mathieu, people said they wouldn’t make the playoffs and they won the super bowl lol
💯
I'll always miss Tyranns championship swagger.
He was a great young man.
What?! You actually believe they won fair & square dont you, Forrest Gump lmao. CHEATIN CHIEFS, HATED MORE THAN THE BROWNS NOW LOL!!
You know I love you Rich. I understand your confidence. Now. So, how bout those Raiders?
Every generation has its pinnacle player: Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway, Marino. Now we get to enjoy watching Mahomes. Insofar as talent, an argument can already be made that he's the best of all time. Most accomplished insofar as winning Super Bowls? Only time will tell, seven is a steep mountain to climb. But I wouldn't bet against Mahomes doing it.
Masterful cast!
As a chiefs fan… I’m still mad at 55 being offsides. Dee Ford I’m sure is a great human but even after 2 rings I’ll never forgive him.
Yeah Chiefs could have been in the SB after that.
All those years of sucking and never thinking we could even make the playoffs and win just 1 game.
It's unbelievable what has transpired in KC over the past 5 years.
I remember throwing my hands up in the air so many times and saying "I'm done with this team, why even waste my time watching?"
.....and then we drafted a little known QB outta Texas Tech.
Whatta freakin ride it's been man!
"Reid's better than McCarthy"
In other news, grass is green.
in 5 years he has won two mvp's and two super bowls and 3 sb apperances
Man the AFC is so stacked with great quarterbacks unlike the nfc
Best combined QB performance in Super Bowl history?
Either them or Foles vs Brady
I think this year coming up or he’s going to check back to back off of the list of accolades when he takes down Super Bowl 58 in the Raiders house, which happens to be Derrick Thomas is retired number
Called that sheet…huh?
Rich is a class man 👋 best show
This guy just said he might not know if Mahomes will make it back, my dude he’s been to 3 in 4 years.
@@Jakery1057 and of the 7 he won they could have lost some as well
And of the 10 superbowl he went to he could have not gone to some as well going by your logic
But they got in by cheating honey lol you dont get better cheating every game! The whole country warched it too lol you cant even deny it!!
@@Jakery1057 Why do the Chiefs fans all confuse BLATENT CHEATING THE WHOLE COUNTRY SAW.....with actually being a good team lmfao?!
@@marlafowler3543 Brady?
So much more difficult to create a dynasty now than the pre-salary cap days
The AFC is loaded with good teams and top 10 QBS. The NFC has at least 3 tier 1 teams with powerhouse defenses. If the Chiefs win the Superbowl this year, it's a wrap. Patrick Mahomes is the G.O.A.T.
Will Mahomes win another? Won Superbowl with a lot of cheap rookies and 11 or 12 draft picks this year. And who is picking them you ask Brett freaking Veatch. Win another you ask. I think future bright. Dynasty coming up!
Get in line behind a few who are calling it. The jester at the front twirling a rod is Nick Wright.
For real.
Plzs, imagine him hitting his head like Tua did or his knee/ankle be broken.
Amen Brother ❤💛❤️💛❤️💛
Rich better make it to the HOF too
Well said, sir!
The ultimate test of HOF worthiness is the “can the story of the league be told without this person?” question.
Pat’s already a lock.
nice
He's That Guy. You said it
1 means it could be a fluke, 2 means people stop talking, 3 championship rings mean there’s no dispute
And there being so many talented qbs pushes them all to be better in the AFC
Mahomes has also hosted 5 straight afc champships, Rogers has not
He's been to the SB multiple times now what makes you think he won't be back wtf
He has completely destroyed the Rodgers is great myth in just five years.
Rodgers is one of most talented we’ve ever seen, but he’s not a winner like Brady, Montana, and nos Mahomes
@@nopeteys2424 wasted talent perhaps. Greatness involves more than just personal stats and awards. You have to actually lead and win.
I am a Bears fan and have no love for Rodgers, but Rodgers is great. He's just not as great as Mahomes.
@@mrmacross great at choking when it counts. That I will agree he's great at.
@@mjeh1 two sides of the football. As a Packers fan, the defense has come up short in big games but Aaron isn’t exempt from any blame I will admit.
Mahomes should be in the Deon Sanders wing of the HOF.
Rodgers isn’t even in the same ballpark as Mahomes.
At least Rodgers didnt win championships by cheating....CHEATIN CHIEFS WON NOTHING FAIR & SQUARE!!
@@marlafowler3543 where did they cheated crybaby ????
Rich Eisen: "Lamar will one day get out of the training room and finish a season." 🤣 Harsh
Rich I think you picked Philadelphia. We knew it would be a great game. Chiefs have a great team.
I don't think he get to 8 SB wins in 10 attempts to that is a lot maybe we see them he be the GOAT best of all time . He the best QB in the NFL for sure . Hopefully someone can knock them off this year .
3 more Championships for Mahomes
Reid
Kelce
He is ✨✨✨✨
By everything that rich Eisen is saying just think for a second Patrick Mahomes has done what he’s done with good talent.
Mahomes could quit right now and be in Canton in 5 years, book it
All those numbers are nice, but Big Ben didn't have any of them and was still a Hall a Famer in 6 years 2004- 2010
This is how it's going to go down 5 mvp 5 super bowls 5 SB mvp mark it
Mahone and Brady have one constant and that is a good head coach.
Patriots haven’t won consistently since Brady left. Check belichecks wins without Brady. He’s way below .500.
What about Hank Stram?
5 straight A. F. C. Championship games, never played a road game!😅
I’m glad Rich called Brockman out lmao. He always makes little sneaky remarks about mahomes and then is like “what?? I like him???” Like bro, shut up lol. I remember too when he said the chiefs got lucky whistles against the niners very low and as a little remark and rich called him out then too lol.
He been the face in 2018 bruh 😎
