The Eagles coaching staff got taken to school. The Chiefs made a lot of adjustments during the prolonged halftime, and the Eagles coaching staff had no viable response. This is only the 2nd time a team won a superbowl after being down double digits at halftime.
Also the second double digit Super Bowl comeback of Mahomes' career. Wasn't down double digits at half in his First win, but was when wasp brought them back to life.
Going for it on 4th and 6 instead of kicking a fg probably would have been tough. Can't really rely on jalen to get those 6yds since Kc contained jalen to 7 rush yards the entire 2nd half. Siriani saw the adjustment.
I agree. A 17 play drive that is only averaging 3 yds a play. If you DON"T pick up a first down, you are nearly saying 'we give up' and give the ball back to Mahomes.
What goes unnoticed about those 2 TDs by Toney and Moore is that both of them are on 3rd&goal. The thing is on 2nd&goal they had a player running across the field for the motion and both times the eagles switched positions between the corner and safety to take the WR in motion. So Andy and Bieniemy saw that so they anticipated the same communication and switch on a full speed motion. So they told both players to run hard and fast like they trying to get across and then stop go back out. And then ta-da..
Reid had been checking the Eagle’s DB movement throughout by calling motion plays. That’s how he determined it would work - he essentially set them up to fail. Reid plays chess. The only issue I have with this segment is the 2nd scoop and score. The rules for a catch say two feet down with control and making a football move, but they go on to say that turning up field is a football move for completing a catch. He caught it and turned before it was knocked loose. That's a catch and potentially robbed Bolton of the SB MVP with a 2nd defensive score. I think all three catch controversies highlight how bad the rules still are. Two feet, but you want a 3rd foot/step to count it? Ball can't cause a fumble but can cause an incompletion if the ball moves? Trapped to helmet is considered control if the player adjusts it after it's on the helmet? I'm not sure they got any of the calls right, but Eagles fans claim Smith caught it and the other two were right. Chiefs fans think Smith didn't catch it, but the reviews on the other two were dead wrong. Even neutrals are struggling to tell what a catch is from this game.
Amazing coaching by the Chiefs which allowed for the growing pains of playing rookies all year in the defensive backfield, knowing that the strategy would pay off huge if they made the playoffs. Hats off to the entire Chiefs organization for not selling out the future for the temptation to win now.
It was a great game. But all of the "Professional Sports Analysts" didn't give the Chiefs a chance and here we are. So sick of the negativity. I think the proper prediction for this game should have been that the teams were very evenly matched, it was going to be a shootout and who ever had the best plan was probably going to win it. Andy Reid and crew are the winners imo and I don't say that very often.
We have to give credit where credit is due, and Simms nailed the Eagles weakness with pre-snap motion. He harped on that all weak and the Chiefs exploited it for 2 easy TDs.
Andy Reid and Eric Bienemy had been studying it and they were getting the eagles used to seeing them lined up like that but doing the motion they ended up faking in the end. It was freaking offensive poetry pretty much
And somehow the Chiefs defense gave up less 30 point games then the Eagles did and every single time the Eagles played a good quarterback they gave up 30
That second touchdown from the fumble was 100% a catch. He turned caught the ball, turned up field, stepped forward and got laid out....don't know how they could have called it incomplete when the guy clearly had possession and even turned up field to run....Sneed was just perfectly positioned and made an excellent hit on the guy.

This game was so much fun! Chiefs as dog in this gm actually beat Eagles who were called greatest team since '85 Bears! Way too much Andy Reid & Patrick Mahomes for the bird defense!
One of the key plays that cost the eagles. Hurts fumble for defensive touchdown, special teams punt return that chiefs got to the eagles 5, no sacks, & no turnovers produced by eagles defense cost them game. Andy Reid in past super bowls always had sacks given up & turnovers from his teams, this game 0.
Would the refs have moved the line of scrimmage if he had just got tackled and not lost the ball? If so (and they would have) then that was a fumble and touchdown for Nick
Colin Cowherd said it best when he said he flipped his pick last minute to the chiefs. The Eagles played a weak schedule, Eagles Schedule facts: 10 of 17 games vs. non playoff teams 3 of those 10 were against the bottom 5 teams. Only 2 games decided by less than 3pt Highest seeded opponent vs Cowboys who were the 5 seed which they lost too. Chiefs Schedule 8 of 17 Games vs non playoff teams Played 5 games that were decided by less than 3pt Played the 2 Seed Bills, 3 Seed Bengals, 4 Seed Jags, 5 Seed Chargers, 4 Seed Bucs & 7 Seed Seahawks. All in the same season. In the end Chiefs had been tested and the eagles had not all season.
TBH (Chiefs fan speaking) I thought they got every replay call right. The Goedert catch was too close to overturn. The scoop and score wasn't really a catch, and the other catch was bad because the ball hit the ground and moved. They also got the hold right, and for the right reasons. I can't believe I'm saying this about a Cheffers game but they absolutely nailed it as best a human officiating crew could've.
I thought the catch calls were not good but I’m aware it’s interpretation and there’s not a perfect view of everything. Hold was right.. wild that eagles thought ref could’ve let that go as if the chiefs wouldn’t have lost their minds over a clear hold right in front of a ref in the big play at the end of the super bowl. That would’ve been a nightmare for the nfl. It’s easy to be okay with calls when you win though but atleast most of the calls actually went the eagles way so they can have their calls and we’ll take the win and that correct holding call lol

Its so strange as a Chiefs' fan who watches Chiefs' games multiple times to hear these experts like Simms say dumb things like he did around the 2:50 mark. There was little doubt for regular Chiefs viewers like myself that the Chiefs and Mahomes would score a TD on the 2nd half opening drive and make it a 3 pt. game. And when the Eagles wasted a TO to avoid a delay of game penalty only to kick a FG anyway on their first drive of 2nd half, was there any doubt at all the Chiefs would take the lead on the next drive? I mean did he really think that WASNT going to happen? And of course not having all of their TOs at the end of the game certainly helped drive the final nail in the Eagles coffin. I know these guys picked the Eagles so of course they can't be wrong when their predictions dont come true but this is embarrassing for Simms to pretend he was surprised the Chiefs came back to make it a game. If you watch Mahomes and the Chiefs at all, you know being down 10 with the ball and a whole half to go is nothing for them. Do better guys.
Somehow the Eagles defense was in the top five overall and the Chiefs defense was not even in the top 15 and the Chiefs gave up only two 30 point games and the Eagles gave up 5

Chris can't lie first time in a while you really just talked 🏈 ins and outs with Mike and not personal issues you have with players good job!!
Chiefs O line gets an MVP and a brand new car, compliments of Patrick Mahomes 😄
The deserve it but they seem to quit giving cars away to the MVPs.
They got cash to splash so no need to get them cars they dont want and will end up with some aunty or relative.
Would gave been cool if hummer EV was given then the players would drive them and make more headlines. That is a brutal car.
K.C. Masterpiece
Florio forgets, the Eagles defense had only given up 7 points in the first half. It's not a stretch for him to trust his defense in that situation.
That fumble TD was a really bad call, that was more of a bad call then any call in the game. He clearly catches the ball, two feet down and then turns up field. Bad Call! Go Chiefs!!
Eagles got out played, out smarted, and out coached in 2nd half. Eagles were probably the better team in every possible position. The analysts did not take into account that even though KC had six rookies on defence, when you play 17 games plus playoffs you not a rookie any more. You are battle harden. They are full blooded pros. That all I have to say for today. Have a great spring and summer football fans.
The opposite Corn Dog the line was in the wrong position. And Coach Reid was trying to call time because he saw it. But Holmes just kept his calm and ran the play and scored.
The Kansas City Chiefs have now won two Super Bowls against giant, influential city’s on the coast. Kansas City should be considered a influential, major metropolitan city in the US.
The entire Chiefs team manhandled the EAgles in the 2nd half as if the Eagles were the wrong League.
Afc hits different and eagles needed to learn
I bet a billion dollars without watching that nobody mentions the timeout the Eagles took to keep a 3rd & 11 in easy FG territory which prevented a Chiefs touchdown & an Eagles comeback drive.
This game was so much fun! Chiefs as dog in this gm actually beat Eagles who were called greatest team since '85 Bears! Way too much Andy Reid & Patrick Mahomes for the bird defense!
Chiefs are a scary team
Simms really slurring his words. Hittin that bottle.
Yea...
lol at least he doesn't get thay red face like me lol
Either the bottle or the pipe! Lol he's so funny
Game tied 5 mins to go defense has to make a play to get the ball back to your offense 🤷♂️
If Butker doesn't miss that kick it was only 7 point game at half....then the sanders fumble for touchdown got called back...knew k.c. was winning
You can't tell me that wasn't a catch. The guy CAUGHT it, put the ball away and turned, then got hit. The catch and putting the ball away is a catch.
When did players grow a 3rd foot?
16:17 For you youngsters he is giving a call back to a scene in "My Cousin Vinny". With the hand clasp.
Come on....4th and 6....still 3rd qtr....the right decision is to kick the field goal to go up 27-21.
Can you imagine if the Eagles had gone for it on 4th down and failed? A 17 play drive and no points would have been devastating.
Would the refs have moved the line of scrimmage if he had just got tackled and not lost the ball? If so (and they would have) then that was a fumble and touchdown for Nick
Colin Cowherd said it best when he said he flipped his pick last minute to the chiefs. The Eagles played a weak schedule,
Eagles Schedule facts:
10 of 17 games vs. non playoff teams
3 of those 10 were against the bottom 5 teams.
Only 2 games decided by less than 3pt
Highest seeded opponent vs Cowboys who were the 5 seed which they lost too.
Chiefs Schedule
8 of 17 Games vs non playoff teams
Played 5 games that were decided by less than 3pt
Played the 2 Seed Bills, 3 Seed Bengals, 4 Seed Jags, 5 Seed Chargers, 4 Seed Bucs & 7 Seed Seahawks. All in the same season.
In the end Chiefs had been tested and the eagles had not all season.
Nice reference to My Cousin Vinny
I don’t believe the timing on those TD’s to the flats were RPO’s.
There were options to pass if they didn’t bite
Why is there never live video highlights during these? Only still shots? Cmon guys it’s 2023
They can show it on TV but they can't show it on YT due to TV rights.
@@Kennywinful correct! Following is an idea not criticism so take no offense.
It would be nicer if they put the time stamp from the game the clip is showing so ppl could look it up on their own streaming service or so.
More information cant be bad to help people know what they are discussing.
We won but that was a catch
Let's see that play again. How about once.
Can y'all get NFL video rights for RUclips?
McAfee Show outclassing y'all 😆
@@321Nox it's really expensive. PMS has that FanDuel money
if a coach cant punt and rely on the league’s best defense, then he cant win anyway
Where's the replays?
Awaiting permission of the NFL apparently. Lol.
It's not that easy to be that aggressive in the Superbowl Mike especially when it's your first one, in my opinion what won the Chiefs their first Super Bowl in 50 years was Andy being aggressive from the get-go
"How are the Chiefs leading this game?" Ummm, two fumbles returned for TD's maybe?
There was only one
@@scottboehmer1114debatable but as the chiefs won anyways it’s not important
@Zarab923 how is it debatable. There wad literally only one recovered fumble returned.
People keep saying what a great game Hurts had. Well the Chiefs game plan was for the Eagles to pass the ball.
Since when do teams game plan for Mahomes, Herbert, Allen, Borrow to pass the ball all they want?
It was probably the KC OC who wanted to run the ball Reid doesn't believe in the run game, He's old school west coast offense throwing the football getting down field quickly and chunk plays.
He will do what he has to do to win the game. Doesn’t care if it’s not as pretty as he used to like it. Chiefs learned to take the wins even if they’re ugly cause that’s what winners do. Shanahan could never 😂 control freak
They may have missed that play. But they didn’t miss that interference. Call did that.😂
good analysi...but without actual play video its difficult to understand what you guys are saying
the holding call on Juju was a variation of the corndog too
They disrespected Andy Reid for two weeks promoting the eagles..
Now they got egg on their faces..
That's what happened to these two clowns...
In fairness, they both picked kc to win lol
What? They both picked the Chiefs to win lol
as above lol
Have you been watching same show as the rest of us?
Only one with egg on his face is you. Both picked KC to win!
Think about it, Chiefs still won even tho their QB had a sprained ankle AND the Eagles got a free 1-2 yards whenever they wanted with that cheating ass unstoppable "madden type" glitch play QB Sneak
It wasn't a catch. But you can't reverse that!!!!!!!! What????? Lol .....cry eagles cry
Chris sounds loaded
Hey Skippy, who are you picking for next year Super Bowl? I’ll be sure to bet against them.
Somehow the Eagles defense was in the top five overall and the Chiefs defense was not even in the top 15 and the Chiefs gave up only two 30 point games and the Eagles gave up 5
Had Toney scored on that punt return the Eagles would have had an extra minute or so.
Or if Bradbury hadn't held and the chiefs score a td
@@YuckFouTube2 Or if the Eagles hadn't eaten so much clock in the first half on their long drives.
Quite a few IFs in this game, as there always is.
The eagles were frauds. They played a cupcake schedule. They were not nearly as good as everyone thought.
Don't know what you guys are looking at, but your viewers are only seeing a still shot of the plays you're watching. Probably copyright, but it makes for crap watching.
this is the next video
Man these guys are crying cause the chiefs won beats anything I have ever heard
You 2 are my favorite
Please do better on your best brts
I have to pick 4 ats every week and I listened too much to you dingbats but I'd rather listen to you more than anyone
Thanks for a fun year
1...2...3 KC!!!
butker missed a chip field goal
CRY EAGLES CRY
More hot air.
I'm assuming they talk about how well the Eagles played in a different clip? They lost by 3. Based on this video you would think they didn't score at all.
One of these days Mahomes is going to bite his tongue off.
Go Chiefs Guess The Overall So Called Experts Got It wrong comparing Philly Defense with 85' Bears Chief offesne line made em look Silly...R Harris
Hey Christy rules are rules In SB & AFC Champ game dicect game film how many plays, by letter of the law, Chris Jones line up offsides? That’s a grown man with his head past your shoulder before you can get out of stance???????? Look at the game films!
They got flagged for it to. But I guess you wanted it on every play. You do understand that the blue line on TV is the best guess at the line of scrimmage and not 100% accurate though right? But whatever excuses let you sleep at night I guess.
That was a catch and fumble. He did take a 3rd step
Mike Florio want eagles go on 4th down every 4th down eagles had, what does he think he playing madden football . it like he don't think eagles shouldn't punt at all in Superbowl . good thing he is media guy then head coach cuz he probably wouldn't keep his job long
It was a great game. Shit happens. The nfl is cool because anyone can win.
