Mahomes, Chiefs, and Reid sneak their way to the Lombardi Trophy not once, but TWICE in this postseason due to opposing place kicker failure. Moody makes that extra point and the Chiefs lose by 1, the same way they would've lost to the Bills by 3 if the place kickers were swapped. Inveterate jock-sniffers hate acknowledging the highest scorers in the league, year in, year out, the place kickers, so of course they'll never acknowledge that the actual most important play of this game was Moody missing an extra point.

Both teams were kicking 53-57 range field goals all night. Being inside an enclosed stadium with no wind resistance makes it a much less impressive statistic, and actually makes me mad at closed stadiums, because it makes field goals way too easy.

He'll no they don't, I mean being a chiefs fan watching every game I knew this defense was great but I didn't realize they were historically great. Those diagrams they showed with the chiefs defense just to be in the same breath as some of those historic defenses kind of blew my mind. But will they be remembered like those other old defenses, unfortunately probably not to the extent the others are. Pat will overshadow them because that's what people want to talk about and he is great and played great at the end
