Well him and Nick are really good friends outside of the show, and on top of that Brou is actually a fan of Mahomes and usually supports the Chiefs. If you listen to him and Robs show Chris is ALWAYS defending Mahomes and the Chiefs. I think he just had to play devils advocate for the show but is actually happy Mahomes and the Chiefs won. He was in fact the first person to say Mahomes is the Jordan of football

There are a lot of great running gags on this show (banners, the Prince, sandwiches, Mahomes Jordanesque from SI interview, Wildes taking credit for well known sports cliches), but Wilde's Chiefs' fandom is probably the funniest.
The Ravens offensive collapse was incredible. I felt terrible for the defense, who played their hearts out.
The defense didn’t exactly help with the number of boneheaded penalties that they kept getting that kept drives alive

A friend of mine who’s a Ravens fan said “the chiefs threw us in the hole, and instead of trying to get out of the hole, we kept digging ourselves a bigger one” which quite literally what happened
Down by 10 and taking 2 drives down the field only to get turnovers in the end zone is the most painful way to lose
The Ravens got mopped up so many times by their own mistakes on the field and self inflicted penalties. The Chiefs play clean and make very little mistakes..
The moment Lamar Jackson through that pass that got deflected back to him and he caught it?? I knew right then the Chiefs were a class above this Ravens team and were going to beat them convincingly. That was the beginning of the end of them

Lamar’s the MVP so he must get the blame for the loss. But you could tell that they let Mahomes scare them. The Ravens, who were the number one rushing offense this year, completely panicked and changed to a passing offense the minute Mahomes scored. The gameplan was unrecognizable. The RB’s barely touched the ball at all.
The biggest reason the ravens lost is lamar. The dude cant throw! Not only that the dude chokes every single year! People gotta stop with this lamar praise and tell it like it is!

Mahomes did what he needed to do to win but I can't help but think a lot this falls on Ravens OC Todd Monken. I was flabbergasted over how the Ravens abandoned the run early despite it still being a close game. The Chiefs gave up 5.1 ypc on 16 carries for the game and had been a bad run defense all season. Instead, Monken decides to get in a shootout with Mahomes. Just insane.
Mahomes scares people including coaches and I think Lamar felt it too especially with people calling him a RB which I don't think but I think it was there and when Pat didn't throw an incomplete pass in the 1st quarter it rattled them. The Chiefs also aren't a bad run defense they were 11th and a lot of that is game plan like when playing the bills we let them run and pass sideways to stop the big play. Spags is a very smart DC and will sometimes give you something to take away a strength
Yup. Mahomes getting the majority of the praise, when they had 3 total points over the final 3 quarters is crazy. That chiefs defense has been the reason they’re in the superbowl. They need the credit, Andy Reid and the coaching staff need the credit, and the receivers need the credit because for the whole year they got blamed and spat on by chiefs fans and nick wright, but as soon as they’re not dropping the ball, they get 0 credit. I don’t get it, this isn’t tecmo bowl where bo Jackson runs laps around the field and wins.
