Mahomes hasn't had to perform in the second half all season long because the defense has been shutdown in the second half all year long..... Mahomes gave the Ravens an opportunity to get back in the game but they couldn't because why? The Defense. Andy Reid was conservative the second half.

Well, they all went so hard for the ravens, and doubted the mentality and the skill of KC. So now they have to give us the excuse why the ravens are still the better team, but they lost. And I would agree that they have a lot more tools in that toolbox, they don’t just have a great quarterback. They also have a great wide receiver, they also have a very strong defense, but a lot of that can be said about KC. But this game didn’t come down to any of that it came down to the mentality. KC Has the skill to not go and giveaway yardage for their aggression typically, how many yards did the ravens give up for technical or taunting? Way too many, and that tells you that they were not in the right headspace for this game. They were ready for anger and aggression, but not strategy and keeping it cool.

Pat said it during the interview. They leaned on the defense during the 2nd half. It was strategy. Pat would've scored in the second half IF the Ravens closed the gap. Pat's goal was to win. I don’t understand this take at all. If they wanted to extend the lead and ice the game early, they would. Giving up back to back to back 3 and outs and getting shut out in the 2nd half is usually not how you win football games. Ravens defense made plays while their offense couldn’t.

@@joefuckingflacco11tds-0int4 yeah I get that. I was actually frustrated because I felt they were too conservative but I've seen this during their games this year and it's like a pattern. If they need to, they would. If they don't need it then they won't. The difference that the Chiefs played in the regular season vs the play offs is so not comparable that I feel like they just had to win enough to het into playoffs because they just won't show anything. They did not play like the defending champions during regular season then they just suddenly flipped a switch during playoffs? Also they know they are playing with the #1 defense so the best way to beat that is to not play with the defense so they could limit their mistakes as well. Super Bowl is their biggest game and smart teams play their opponents. Teams watch films of their opponents and prepare based on what they know. It would be conservative to not show your opponents everything so you can surprise them. I don't know MAYBE I am just so into strategies. Hahahaha! Having said that, I feel for the Chiefs Defense because they carried their team all season. I hope they get paid well.

Chiefs have this effect on Ravens nearly every time they play. Ravens are a team built to play with the lead, protect it with the run while the defense shuts off the opposing offense.
The Chiefs are one of the few teams in the league that can zoom right down the field and score on the Raven's defense on every game-opening possession. It kind of has a sock-in-the-jaw effect on the Ravens and they always end up playing catch-up, which they are definitely not built for.

That fumble on the 1yr line killed the Ravens. They didn’t play well as a team but if they had gotten that touchdown, I believe they could have won.

Mecole Hardman did the exact same thing and Chiefs still overcame and won, what's Ravens excuse?

@@legitdragon6202 I’m not making an excuse, just a statement. Chiefs are the better team. Ravens were not good enough to overcome a devastating fumble like that.

Richard Sherman the only one accurately addressing this chiefs squad. The defense just held an offense who blew out monster opponents by double digits to 10 points.

Exactly what I screamed the whole game Mike! Why isn't he running NOW????!!!! In the championship game, you do whatever it takes to help your team win. If Lamar running puts them in the super bowl, so be it! He held the ball waaaaayyyyyy too long! Had he run more often, the defense would have become too tired and insignificant

Lamar said the game was going to be a "battle between two greats". He needs to win something before putting himself in the same league as Mahomes.

RUN THE BALL MONKEN. There is no reason for lamar to be throwing the ball every down. Lamar has always had his biggest games when he thrown less than 30. We lost our identity and it cost us.

I think Skip is about to have a heart attack just thinking the Chiefs won 😂 He just keeps saying “if they did this or that, Ravens would have won”. The game is over! They lost! No excuses!

Skip spent all that time saying KC didn’t Score the Whole Second Half….Did he mention how much Baltimore put up the Second Half?

I said it for 2 weeks, the pressure of being at home is greater than most people think. Mahomes just makes it look easy. This game isn’t even close if the refs called tripping in the end zone when C Jones was coming for the sack and the KC TD that got called back.

That would've been a Safety and made it 19-7 with 10:30 ish left.
Chiefs get a free kick and likely burn up a couple minutes or more and can dictate the field position if they don't drive very well.
