Amazing to hear Andy Reid talk nonchalantly about players like Brett Favre, Reggie White, and Brian Dawkins. It hammers home how great a coach this man is. Great interview.
In a world of stupid questions from reporters, and maybe it's because I've been a Pats fan my whole life and listen to Bill not really answer much for 23 years, this was a very intelligent, insightful interview with clear and concise answers
Reporter interviews is like an assembly line. You ask a question, try to get a quote, and move on in 30 seconds-2 minutes. These podcast and long form interviews are better because the people asking questions are someone the interviewee is close and comfortble with, and you also have like up to an hour to fully elaborate on a question to go really in depth to make sure there's no misunderstandings. If Brady was running a podcast to interview Bill, I imagine the question/answers are gonna be way better than most of the post game interview stuff.

Alex Smith in 2017 for KC threw for 26tds and 5 ints Mahomes in 2019 threw for 26 tds and 5 ints. Both had 4,000 yards passing and 105 qbr. Difference is Smith lost in wild card round. Mahomes won the superbowl.
Nevertheless, Alex Smith brought stability back to the Kansas City Chiefs organization. Smith was a tremendous asset and leader. Without Alex Smith's character and team based first approach, the Chiefs would have continued to be among the bottom of the NFL. Nevertheless, unfortunately for Alex Smith, he had limitations, as a quarterback, especially when playoff football season occurred. More often than not, Alex Smith was the second best quarterback in the game during the playoffs. Sometimes, Alex could compensate for his limitations. On the other hand, Alex Smith's tenure with Coach Andy Reid allowed Patrick Mahomes to experience how to become a leader on-the-field, in the locker room and off-the-field.
I wanted the Eagles to sign him to a lifetime contract-but I think it was best for Andy to leave Philly at that time-and getting Patrick helped solidify Reid winning three super bowls and likely a few more.
No lie I don't know anything about American football, hardly understand it tbh but I read an article about this guy and decided to watch some highlights and those passes are awesome and his composure in general is unreal. Def made me want to go down the park and throw some passes

Coach spends his whole life molding star athletes and legendary QBs. Mahomes has been under his influence for about seven years. He's molded him into this world class QB 👏 in the NFL. Coach knew that he wanted to be the best in his career, and that fuelled both of them. He 💯 used everything that Coach Andy to stretch and challenged him to do great and awesome things 👏 on the field.
Andy Reid is a legend. Yall heard I'm from New England. I'm a sports fan. IM A proud to be a used to be eagles fan from McNabb to vick years. Cheifs fan since the first game I saw 15. I'm feeling it.
I vividly remember Mahomes first start for KC watching as a Broncos fan. He made Paxton Lynch look like what he turned out to be in the end, a dud. The difference in the two players was astounding.
It’s make me sick to my stomach that the saints missed out on Mahomes by one pick to think they could of went from Brees to Mahomes and Sean Payton would of never left all would be right in the world
I’d think if I knew beforehand that my interviewee prepped for this specific interview with specific questions and also nailed the interview, I’d be more confident in the candidate because they demonstrated an ability to prep successfully.
That’s like saying if you gave a student a really important test to take at home and then have them retake the same test the next day…. What????? Praying you aren’t a boss 😂
I wish Andy Reid would have stayed in Green Bay and had become the head coach there. Andy had to go to the ungrateful Eagles, who fired Andy and the fans threw snowballs at Santa Claus. At least Andy has done good things for Kansas City, a midwestern town of decent people.

Most, if not all the offensive linemen, were hurt, including Fisher and Schultz, two extraordinary lineman. And of course, on the other side, was this guy named Brady, who is a reasonably good NFL quarterback (I am being totally sarcastic, as Brady is the best playoff caliber quarterback of all time).

He didn't know. If he did, he would have moved up to #1, #2 or #3 at worst, to get him. Not worth letting someone else have a shot if he knew how good he was going to be.
I was worried about his family life it seems he has a couple of family members that like to cause drama and as far as I can tell it doesn't seem to effect him. I was a little surprised that his son was sent to the hospital to find out he is highly allergic to peanuts which Patrick is to. I would think that subject would have come up at some point and they would have been more cautious about giving their sons peanuts but then again what the hell do I know about allergies

Andy also included Sterling Sharpe, Why that guy is so often overlooked is mind boggling..
Because he played in GB with no national coverage and his career ended before the packers blew up , its a shame.
Smith didn't lose games for the Chiefs. That Chiefs defense lost games for Smith.

There is a bigger difference in qbr. Mahomes played one and a half games less and that season. Injured mid game and recovery.
Yeah I know he was injured and qbr was slightly different but it's insane how the stats just matched up.
