- This spicy shrimp recipe is a great starter dish that is both flavorful and easy to make. The shrimp are cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce made with mango, cream, and green peppercorns. The dish is finished with a dash of soy sauce for a touch of umami.
Ingredients:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 mango, peeled and diced
1 small tub of heavy cream
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon green peppercorns, crushed
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 dash soy sauce
Instructions:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the mango, cream, sweet chili sauce, green peppercorns, garlic, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Serve immediately.
Tips:
If you can't find green peppercorns, you can use black peppercorns or crushed red pepper flakes instead.
If you don't have heavy cream, you can use half-and-half or milk.
You can garnish this dish with chopped cilantro or green onions, if desired.
I hope you enjoy this delicious and easy-to-make spicy shrimp recipe! Хобби
This was just a quick recipe, but during it I lost the use of my main camera. Had to make do with a standby in one place. It shows all the steps. Ill be fixing my real camera for next time. Hope you enjoy the mango shrimp. It was a revelation to me when I tasted it. :)
And finally I noticed that the video was double its actual size with just a blank screen for the last half. Fixed now. Sorry about that!
