    Get your thoughts out of your head while meditating, feel and think of other parts of your body by slowly scanning your whole body with deep slow breathing, accept the tinnitus it was probably always there, but faint and just not as loud. Neuroplasticity is the answer. Thanks Dr. Ben.

    I read an article on the Internet of research done in China where tinnitus was relieved or eliminated in 8 days through acupuncture and sound. The procedure was done 8 days in a row. The acupuncture stimulates the vagus nerve and the sound reprograms the neural pathways in the brain. It is important the the sound not be the same sound as the tinnitus sound so that new paths can be developed. I can't find the article now but I wrote down the acupuncture points:
    GB40 - Angle bone
    TB17 - behind ear lobe
    GB2 - right above ear lobe
    SI19 - near ear cartilage where the indention is.
    SJ21 ear - right above ear canal
    GB43 - between 4th and 5th toe
    LU7 - near wrist
    SJ3 - between 4th and 5th finger
    LR3 - Foot: between big toe and second toe.

    Great videos, the series of 2 really brought home what I need to be focusing on to take away the fear of tinnitus and learning to change My thought process and Negatity associated with tinnitus. Going to focus on my Wellbeing, exercise,meditation and Positive thinking. TO take Control of My mind and emotions, rather than to Control tinnitus. I am not tinnitus.

    Hi Ben
    Value your time on the Neuroplasticity it makes me feel that there has always been a tinnitus factor within in the many years leading up to my recognising it, and my thought now is, that there is nothing more that I need to be afraid of from Tinnitus, and to safely concentrate on my positive well being using the Neuroplacity to improve and strengthen my body soul and mind, and truely benefit from an improved healthy brain.

    Really great video, thanks! However I would like to ask two questions.
    -For the habituation in sound therapy, is it necessary to have a sound with a similar intensity of the tinnitus, or as long as it makes you not to think about the tinnitus and is not too loud is okay?
    -When I exercise hard (after 2 hours of intense biking for example) sometimes my tinnitus gets higher, do you know about any thing about why could happen? And regarding the anairobic exercise, can it be equally helpful if done for long periods?
    Really thank you for your work, it really helps a lot!:)

      the brain must hear both tinnitus and pink noise. . to mix sounds. . . white noise is harmful. . changes the map of the brain and intensifies tinnitus. . with it all frequencies are of equal strength

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 года назад +2

      1 - Tinnitus Retraining Therapy teaches that the sound stimulus frequency is not that important. Anecdotally, most people with tinnitus find more relief using high-pitched stimulus (crickets for example)
      2 - I am not sure exactly of the mechanism that would cause tinnitus to get louder and physical exercise. Likely nothing to worry about. Most exercise is healthy so keep taking care of yourself!

    Your comments at 26:15 were very very interesting Ben. This is why. Right now I listen to the sound of my tinnitus (64k) for 5ms then followed 2ms of light electro stim (tens) , I go on with my day happy while using portably , but if I listen to straight tinnitus freq sound it negatively impacts me. I can’t focus. So that means some songs can be counter productive. I wonder what I need to do or how long to translate my short term results to semi-permanent . Maybe I need to up my exposure time.

      Have you tried a cervical collar? If not, ask your doctor to be fitted for a hard cervical collar and use it for about 4 weeks. Like me your neck may be tilted to so far that you are experiencing mild to maximum tinnitus. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4803736/ Take a look at this data and scroll all the way down so you can see the diagram of the degree of head tilt. A person suffering for 20 years saw improvement. I had to start using mine again thanks to working from home and these smart phones.

    Hi - I would like to know if you think that hearing aids are necessary to cure tinnitus. I have been doing TRT for 7 months with no results. The mics on the hearing aids actually flare my T and have had to be turned off until I am "ready." I am a professional musician and cannot use hearing correction while music-making anyway so I don't see the point. I only have minimal high-end hearing loss. I hate these hearing aids and don't want to wear them anymore. But I am being told this is the ONLY way. Can you give me you opinion on this?

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  4 года назад

      Hey Melanie Mitrano, thank you for the comment. Of course this could be a long conversation. But in short, sound therapy is recommended to help with the intensity of tinnitus for a period of months to a year. It's often functionally more sustainable to use sound therapy via a hearing aid than to constantly have soothing soft sounds in your environment. If you are frustrated with the hearing aids, I understand how that may be upsetting. Sorry to hear that. Don't give up and keep finding out what works for you.
