I was there!!!! My first, and only, MKII concert, and my first ever "proper" concert, and it's still the best concert I've ever been to.....and I've been to a few!!! Blackmore was just out of this world, and I'm so thankful I catched him, and them, on such a great night as Oslo was. It'll be forever in my heart, and I think about that night almost on a daily basis. Thank you Purple, thank you Blackmore!
I was there that night! Blackmore was on fire, and so was the band. They were feeding of him, and that made up for a truly AMAZING concert! Never seen anything like it, and probably never will! Oslo was his second to last gig with Purple:-(
I saw DP with Morse and Arey. It was fun ofcourse. Wish I was at their concert in Oslo in 1988. The live album `Nobodys Perfect was recorded there, and some in California I think.
In Norway we haven`t had much good music I think, but Grieg is wonderful. I have even heard recording of him of an old interview, early 1900. But Poland has the violinists and the pianoplayers, no doubt :)
yes, i agree. the greatest polish when music is concerned would b CHOPIN in my opinion. a lot of ppl thought he was french, 'coz his father was from france & he spent his time there in exile. but he demanded that his heart should go back to poland, which his sister did manage to smuggle it back (poland was under the tsar's rule). then we have other great composer/pianist like K Szymanowski, composer/violinist H Wieniawski & composer H Górecki. my best friend is polish. i met him here in sydney.
@stargazer2080, do you have a video of Jon Lord's solo as well? Unfortunately, it was cut from here. I have it in mp3, but I would love to have it on video. For me it's one of the best Jon's solos.
nice vid!!anybody knows the name of the song that jon plays at 06:16 ??it's the same song that he uses when plays the end of pictures of home in morse era,but i don't know the name please help :(

the entire 93 tour was unbelievable. Ritchie is unmatched in innovation composition and his ability to cross over so many styles of play.
I was there, Blackers was on fire that night!
Blackmore is my favorite; he's the best. His personality, charisma, choice of notes, and musicianship (and diversity) are second to none.
Blackmore is a friggin genius, in case you didn't already know !!
