    Thanks for helping me make a NO deal on this cover.

    Owned two and sold them both with the trucks. One for five years and the other for 7 years. Both did what I wanted them to do, kept the items in the bed dry and safe. Held up under the weight of heavy snow fall. Waiting for the third for my new truck.

    Been researching covers for weeks. Never found one that doesn't have about the same number detractors as every other one. Always multiple people in the comments of every single cover talking about how it falls apart in X amount of time.
    So either every single cover in existence in garbage, or there's just no way around these issues without garaging your truck because mother nature.

      The flush trifolds are not reliable, it’s just surprising this aged like a 10year old work truck while it’s rarely used. If you don’t mind the surface mounted covers their more reliable

    This is really unfortunate. I just bought one because a buddy of mine has had one on his truck for 4+ years and it's still in immaculate condition. Hoping mine holds up too 😬

    You’re a good inspector! Sad to say, I don’t think the wear you noted can be avoided. The bed will flex and jiggle a lot as you drive causing the cover to move and rub.

    • @WeekndGarage

    Own this cover. Have none of the issues you have experienced. Looks like the dealer didn't do a good job installing. Mine doesn't move an inch once installed. Had it for just over two years and no issues.

    • @WeekndGarage
      @WeekndGarage  6 месяцев назад

      We’re up in Canada, probably cover couldn’t survive the weather. I actually checked the dealer installation, everything was tight and in place, cover still shifts. The rubber and seals do have significant wear and tear down to the metal in a short period of time which aren’t related to installation.

    Thanks for doing this video. I heard you say in the video that your cable had pulled out at one point. That is what happened to mine and I'm not sure how to go about securing it again. If you could just point me in the right direction as to which screws to remove and exactly what screws need to be pulled out and if you remove it completely or does it slide back in or what have you. Thanks for anything you can do to help me and potentially others!

    I did a review on my BakFlip F1 cover. Worst junk I’ve ever owned. On my second one. The first was replaced under warranty but they only replaced the cover and not the side rails. That caused a whole other set of issues. This cover suffers from the same issues as the first. Would look at a different manufacturer the next time around.

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV Месяц назад

      @@Wyattduck55 I would definitely look at one made out of some type of aluminum that won’t absorb water like the composite fiber one does that I have. I really like the covers that WeatherTech makes but that’s not without its faults too. Their panel closest to the cab does not flip open. That won’t work for me when I need the whole bed open for transporting the ATV.

      Up to you, it will work but for the price i just expected better quality. The BakFlip company stick even fell off on mine and i rarely use my cover. Black painted metal on the side rails are now exposed on a few spots and the gaskets are turning into crumbs. Haven't researched into alternatives but if you got the time id do more see what else is good

    I bought the same cover for my 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The rubber between the panels is deteriorating and tearing. this cover was bought in 2017 so its has some time on it. I contacted Bakflip trying to buy new rubber for in between the panels and was told they do not sell these particular parts but, would sell me a new cover. They did offer a discount but I am not going to buy another one of these covers for it to just fail again. Terrible customer service for the amount of money these covers cost. i do not recommend these covers at all they are not worth the money

    Their covers suck. I’m on my third one with them on three different trucks. This last truck has been a real problem child because they cheap out on their manufacturing. If you notice the plastic pieces that snap into the rails where you pull the wire to open your cover, they have cut down on how many screws they use to secure that cover. You’ll see in your video that they put one screw on one side of the snap and on the other side diagonal to it. When I called them to tell them the cover was missing screws, they told me that they don’t put a screw in every hole on that plastic cover. After nine years, the plastic is nonexistent on my entire cover because everyone has broken off under basic use in the first three years. I’ll never buy another one of their covers again. Buy some cheap brand before I spend this much on their junk.
