Also the ground rubber settles really fast, so you need to stir it a lot and often. I wish they would make a smooth version with finer ground rubber in it. It is the best non skid surface I've ever seen. It's not only rough, it's sticky, and perfect for stair treads like like camper door steps. Great job as always. Something I’ve used as a poor man’s covering is: Take a tube of acrylic caulk and squeeze it into a 5 gallon bucket, 1 quart of acrylic joint compound, 1 Gallon of acrylic house type paint, 1 half shovel of sand, and mix very well. If it’s to thick or to thin you can adjust with paint and sand. Just don’t get it on anything that you do not won’t it on , because it won’t come off without scraping. You can also use it on dry wall , masonry, or wood for a textured look. I’ve got some on a wall I put there forty five years ago. Thanks so much for your effort in producing these videos. I’ve used your suggestions many times.

Good idea. He already has them all made up. All he has to do is leave them out. Doesn't even have to put them anywhere special. It's a truck bed liner. Just throw them on top of something and walk away for a year or whatever
Yes, this seems to be the weakest part of DIY Bedliners. I put some in a silver truck and within 6 months it got chalky, shrunk and you could see the silver showing through. You really need to buy 5 kits of this stuff to match what a professional installer uses. They get chalky and shrink too, but they use so much more material that you don't see the paint show through after years of sun exposure.
Ive had herculiner on a vehicle of mine now for about two and a half years and its faded pretty bad at this point. Whats still left is stuck well but its gonna get recoated this year.

I watched TV for 4 weeks and didn't see a single Flex Seal ad. Next up, we are going to try this test again with the TV on.
@@jacobharryman822 🤦🏻♂️ D'oh! 😅
I wouldn't put flex seal on my enemies bicycle.
@@phprofYT lol because flex seal is a bed liner and it doesn't know how to ride a bicycle. Great joke.
I've used Herculiner, and I can attest that it's an Amazing product, and I would Absolutely use it again without hesitation! 💪💪👊
Thanks for the feedback.
I was rooting for Herculiner, since I used it on a Ford Ranger that I use to have! Great video!
FORD FUKIN RANGER
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
Testing difference adjustable wrenches would be interesting...
Thanks for the video idea.
Tod, Try to get a hold of an old and new Bahco wrench to test out if you do this one.
I like this too, please include the code blue made by channel lock, and include the super cheap stanley yellow n black from walmart! I use a cwrench at work regularly
@@ProjectFarm Supertech just came out with an 20K oil. It's called Supertech Advanced Full Synthetic Could you do another motor oil test?
Hand tool rescue would come out on top
It looks like it would be very beneficial to have one layer of hard coating for scratch protection and on top of it a layer of soft coating for impact protection.
I want to see him test that so bad!
Me too, that makes 3 of us. So whatcha think project farm ?
@@JB-57 Fourth 🙋♂
5th! I came to the comments to see if anyone has tried doing layers of each of the best rated per category. Or combinations of layers of the products to try to reach an ideal finished product.
I used Herculiner on my pickup. Been 4 years and I have no complaints. This video made me feel more confident about my decision, it did alright 👍
Thanks for sharing.
I feel like comparing Brake Parts Cleaners would be a good video. And it'd be kind of funny to see, considering how often you use it to clean things in videos.
Thanks for the suggestion.
"European Genuine Coatings" is the most Chinese sounding European name I ever heard.
Thanks for the feedback.
I mean if it's sold in the US it's probably not European made, I'll go for Chinese too
lmao sure is! \m/ \m/
But it did best of them all in at least 2 tests (scratch test and chip test?). It says made in EU, so idk..
@GGALLIN1776 I know very well the Hi-Fi market and man I understand your pain lol and Italians CB ? only crap made, if you want to buy something from Europe buy it only in the UK or France or German, no Chinese crap here !
I just coated the entire body of my 05 Frontier with the Raptor Liner Tintable, matching factory color, it came beautiful, I got a lot of compliments on it, the texture is perfect and no more worries about swirls, scratches or nothing!
I'm glad it came on the top 4 best liners!
Great!
Sometimes I'll play your videos while I'm driving, and just listen along. You're so descriptive it's like listening to a baseball game.
Thanks!
Do a extended sun light fade test with the top contenders.
Good idea. He already has them all made up. All he has to do is leave them out. Doesn't even have to put them anywhere special. It's a truck bed liner. Just throw them on top of something and walk away for a year or whatever
I second this idea.
This, I've used herculiner before and tho it's tough it fades bad. Id love to see how the top contenders hold up
Ive had herculiner on a vehicle of mine now for about two and a half years and its faded pretty bad at this point. Whats still left is stuck well but its gonna get recoated this year.
My wife: Why do you have a "paint agitator" on your receipt?
Me: 🤔
Lol, Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing lol
Yeah he definitely was in boss mode with the paint shaker..... We were all in awe.
Makes me want one too and I didn't even have anything to shake, or do I🤔
When you'll only accept shaken, not stirred....
Love it when he says, “We’re going to test that.”
Thanks!
I have never driven through a puddle of alcohol but I've had a brake line blow. You should include brake fluid in all your chemical resistance tests.
I have at the paper plant
Brake fluid doesn't effect bedliners
Your channel is the one i seem to recommend most to family and friends when having normal conversations!
I appreciate all the work you put into these experiments!
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing the channel!
As an engineer i hope one day i make something that warrants project farm to say "very impressive!"
Thanks for sharing.
@@ProjectFarm of course!
Flat out the best channel on RUclips. Your content is non biased, real world tests of practical applications of products. I really enjoy your videos and keep coming back for more. I have recommended the winning products from your videos to friends who were looking for advice on what to use, and told them to watch your reviews for themselves. Kudos to you for all that you do.
So cool that I commented a couple years ago asking for him to do this comparison! God bless you sir! Your a real treasure on RUclips!
Thanks so much! Thanks for suggesting the video idea.
I used Herculiner on the inside of my Jeep CJ tub back in 2004, never had any issues other then clean up. I would recommend it.
Thanks for the feedback.
My favorite product testing channel. Thanks for all you do, Todd.
David, I look forward to seeing your presence on the platform every Sunday! Hope you have a terrific day!
I'm glad you did a strength test with and without primer, so we know the 1k primer wasn't weakening the bond.
Great point! Thank you
Dang, this was an insanely good video. I will probably opt for the herculiner for my Chevy Colorado. Thanks for doing these!
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
Based on the results, I wonder if the Iron Armor is just re-branded Oil-Based Duplicolor.
Or Rust Oleum?
he used acrylic primer for an oil based coating.... that was the problem
Similar to another comment, it would be really cool to see how these coatings compare to Line-X and Rhino Lining. Perhaps you get the small metal pieces sprayed at a shop for testing? Thank you as always for the excellent content!
You are welcome! Thanks for the video idea.
@@ProjectFarm And Bullet Liner (supposedly better than Line-X and Rhino).
I would enjoy seeing a video on rope. Alot of us use bundle twine, bailing wire, yellow nylon rope and even in extreme cases, electrical cords to hold down and secure loads in trucks. It would be interesting to see how these things hold up to abrasion, sharp corners and how strong they really are.
Thanks for the video idea.
I am sure like many of your viewers we really enjoy your videos and how thorough you are, plus I know it has helped me make decisions on many things, but how often do we stop and say .......
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS IT IS REALLY APPRECIATED.
Instructions: "Shake can manually."
[Shakes can into parallel universe.]
lol. Thanks
@@ProjectFarm LOL... seriously, though, your videos are amazing.
what’s the strongest part of ProjectFarm? his opinion.
Thank you very much! I highly value the opinions of others

just bought a gallon of Durabak after this, can’t go cheap when it come to protecting my vehicle, thank you!

On vacation at the coast but still not missing a PF upload! Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your vacation, and I wish you safe travels when you return home!
I’d love to see a comparison of hand staple guns.
Thank you for the video idea!
I was not expecting new video on bed liners. Great job with production of this video. Like from me as allways.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for making my favorite content.
Hey PF Just cause I skip to the end now to get to the results is actually a compliment. I trust you’ve done the research process and stamp of approval
"We're gonna test that!" Companies watching...OH NO!!!!!
Lol, Thank you!
It's well known that a company's claim is either in ideal conditions or through theory based on math and physics.
This was long overdue PF. Was surprised at the end. Btw that's a cool paint shaker Thanks
Thank you and sorry it's taken me so long to get to this one.
@@ProjectFarm don't sweat it. Means your working on more fantastic tests.
@@thereissomecoolstuff - Absolutely. What we watch for 10 minutes must take him at least 10 weeks of careful planning and execution. We really are spoiled.
I've been waiting to see the raptor liner.
He let us know in another comment that he got the paint Shaker at Harbor Freight👍
Herculiner looks pretty good, well above average in every test.
Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah it's tough to choose a winner in this one... Herculiner is in my top 2-3 for sure.
I've used Herculiner on several trucks. I would highly recommend it.
@@phillee8257 Herculiner with or without (what?) primer? Seen any difference in adhesion and longevity?
@@andersriksson100 I never used a primer. You might want to use a scuff pad to go over it.
I had a 2019 ram and sanded the painted bed to bare metal, used a metal etching primer and then sprayed in raptor black with 3 coats. It came with an aluminum spray gun to attach to an air compressor. I was very impressed by the durability of raptor, highly recommend when installed properly.
Thanks for sharing.
I would love to see a winch shoot out with Warn, Openroad, Badland, Smittybuilt, Superwinch, and any other 12000lb winch you can get.
Would like to see that too , I use a Warn and Badlands winch
How about brands of disposable nitrile gloves at some point, the kinds for the shop?
This was a darn interesting video, great as always!
Checking these for solvent resistance would be great. Maybe friction tested for "grippiness".
Thanks! Thanks for the video idea.
Yes! Great idea
Great idea, the last two brands I have picked up seem to rip the palms out as soon as I touch a knurled ratchet handle.
It would have been nice to seen the skid resistance of each liner tested.
Thanks for the constructive feedback.
