This was the most informative video I have seen. I am considering using this for a truck bed liner. From what I have seen, the instructions of 45-50PSI with no thinner is best for a bed liner type texture.

After 2 years with it i'd do it again but only because you can paint over it for cheap with metal paint and if your raptor was applied nice to begin with you will get that same texture with your metal paint . It isn't stain resistant as marketed but it does handle scratches well , they kinda wash out . But bird sh!t stains are a nightmare to get rid of . You can paint a vehicle with raptor 10 times before you get close to regular paint finish price as per my local prices so that's the biggest selling point for me .

I did my silverado in their black with 12 bottles like you suggested to me a few weeks ago. Came out very good. I didn't use their pro-gun though. Even atg 80psi the texture wasn't as fine as I'd thought but that's alright. I took it through a tight trail within a week after painting for the purpose of trying to scratch and scuff the heck out of it; didn't do any damage at all. wiped off.

No chipping at all. Raptor liner is awesome . Want it thicker, spray more material . Use epoxy primer for adhesion. If you want more sheen, add more hardener .

That is a beautiful looking truck man, I think you may not have scuffed the surface enough before coating it specially since the places where it chipped of looks shiny underneath, I got my truck rhino lined and five years later after many offroad trails and one minor accident never had a single chip the only change in five years was the sun fading the black semigloss finish but even that was easily fixed with a bed liner restorer, even after 5 years my truck looked as awesome as the day it got coated. 💪

It doesnt add 30 lbs because it loses significant weight when the liner hardens. Ive done several Jeeps and a couple pickups with Raptor . It works very well if prep of the vehicle is done correctly. Its great on bare metal with adhesion promotion. When sprayed over paint it sticks only as good as the paint below it.

Personally I’d just use this to like the insides of my wheel well, and behind some panels

Thanks for the review. Raptor lined my 98 Jeep TJ in the original chili pepper red color and it came out awesome. Was pretty easy and after a year in New England weather still looks great. Compliments and questions everywhere I go. Anyone thinking about it should just do it!

Mastro 47 so how did you match the paint?

Top Shelf Innovations - I bought the six bottle tintable kit off of eBay and had my local auto body supply shop tint it to my factory color code. Unfortunately my red metallic color was as expensive to get tinted as the whole kit - $150.00
But everyone will probably find different prices depending on their color choices.

+1 to Simple Green. I use it on everything from a sports car to farm tractors and equipment. Always had good experience with it.

The Raptor liner looks better than the OEM paint..... great job on the video and explaining what you did and why- especially on the mirrors and suspension.

Great video. I am thinking about using Raptor on my 1970 LandCruiser after I finish rebuilding it. I saw it on a Jeep Wrangler and a couple of years ago and loved it.

Yes probably only chipped because those areas were not rubbed down properly and were accidentally over looked totally agree with an adhesive promoter. Your texture is perfect. Beautiful job.

It's a great paint job. I always say, please yourself, not an opinion poll. As I drive an old car... I get about 2 or 3 dings from clumsy neighbors and their kids weekly. Since I intend to drive my car for the forseeable future, this paint treatment might be just what I need. Looks sharp, unique, and protects more than average paint jobs.
    Thanks for the video.

Love the truck. Makes me want to do our 2001 Ford F250. We just took our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to get done. Can't wait!

Great info. I’m about to paint my Baja bug project, it’s good to know I can use regular paint tint instead of paying $20 for one pack of tint from raptor liner
