- I recently got a 2017 F250 that had some pretty bad bed wear. It had a drop in bed liner that really did more damage than good. Watch how we convert this to almost brand new and increase the value of our truck! Call Great Lakes Line-X - (815) 455-0123 they are the best in the business!

Who else thought it was a machine doing the spraying when he first started lol?
I thought the gun was attached to his head and he was just shaking his head back and forth LOL I had to get a closer look lol
I did my truck in LINE-X and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Bought a brand new ‘12 GMC Sierra. FIRST thing I did was put Line-X on the bed. To this day it is still near perfect. I threw a lot of stuff on that bed through the years, including sharp metal object. Best thing I ever did !!
Line x is top of the line. I just got my 97 c1500 sprayed 4 days ago and it does change the whole bed appearance.
"Beater truck" lol. That's a fairly new f250. That's many guys dream truck and his beater! Lol
it has a lot of miles :}
My dealer had them do my new ram 1500 truck bed earlier this week. Love it.
LOL his "beater" new generation F250.. trust me it's not at all in rough shape
Lots of miles
@@Toolsinaction how many miles are on it approx?
@@nathanp5507 154k
@@Toolsinaction tf ,that’s not a lot.
I'll show you what a beater looks like
Had my truck sprayed by them and a topper installed by them. These guys are awesome at what they do.
We agree!
Badass dude!! Get it done right the first time!! Came out great dan!! TIA#1!!!
I've had all my Cars undercoated by the Great Lakes Line-X. Great job they did.
For people wondering the price, in Canada it seems to be around $500
I have had a drop in liner in an 2001 GMC Sierra for 22 years! Still is strong, no dents and works great!
Exactly, this is just a marketing video
I think peoples biggest problem with them is that the movement overtime will take off the paint and it will start to rust
I bought a truck new back in 1996 and the first thing I did was have the bed sprayed by LineX. I saw a LineX booth at a car show here in Southern California and the inventor of this process was there with some demo vehicles. He said the process was actually created by an accident. His company was spraying coatings to make them waterproof, but one day someone sprayed from too far away and the surface ended up with the coarse texture they are known for today. Now, 24 years later, it still looks as good as the day it was applied. I highly recommend LineX.
Amazing
Had a 2011 F250 until a woman texting hit it about 55-60 mph, in Jan 2022. the bed bent, the linex from 2011 was still intact. Tough liner that I worked hard, and never had any issues with. I am going back to Linex with the new truck.
10:36 "This is the first time I'm seeing it"
9:00 would suggest otherwise :D
Line x was one of the first things i did when I bought my f150
Just had it done to my new ram, appreciate the recommendation. Took them 3 hours and real pleased. Make them pay u a referral fee ✅
Awesome! It's a great product.
Good stuff
The fast speed while lining the bed made me laugh.
4:22 whew that was close!
Just stumbled upon this video. My local LineX wants an additional $95 bucks if they have to pull out the drop in liner and pressure wash the bed, that’s crazy. I can do that myself but do I really want these folks working on my truck after having said that?
I use a drop in liner because it's easy to slide things in and out of the bed. Those spray on liners make loading and unloading your truck back breaking, would never have that on bed.
Honestly, the bed didn't look bad after they washed the dirt off, they sure played it up as it was a 40 yr old truck sitting in a field. Gee, yes it had some dirt on it that got trapped under the plastic liner.
@4:40 he smells it...lol!!
Is it recommended to do x liner on the composite bed?
How is spray on bedliner gonna make it dent resistant?
I just bought a 2018 platinum f150, how much did this cost?
How much did it cost?
What did you do with the old drop in bed liner?
Can’t believe they went through all the work and such great results but left the plastic bed rail covers on. Figured they’d would have got rid of them too and line x everything
No, you can replace the rails easy
Do they just spray on over the bolts ?
How would I do something like this if I live out of state ?
anyone got there early 2000's light truck line X'd? Toyota Tacoma, Raptor, B-Series, etc. What has your experience been?
Wow, I have a 99 Tacoma with 251k miles, still has the original plastic bed liner from the factory, I don't even want to know what it's like under there.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Had a plastic liner in my 89 f150 when I removed it there was a ton of dirt under I was really surprised it hadn’t rusted yet bed liner is 100% worth the cost
Probably not as bad as you’d think. My uncle used to be a mechanic and did body work and painting and he said that the trucks that had drop in bed liners since they were new looked really good even if they were ten or fifteen years old.
Probably still looks brand new like mine. I have a 94 Toyota pickup. When I bought it a year ago I removed the liner to wash the bed and the paint still looked brand new. Nothing like that one on this video. I put it back on after washing it. I call this video bullshit.
@@gtdodgeviper Yup, it does. I took it out a few months back (after writing my original comment) and it's actually about the nicest bed I've ever seen in a truck that old matter of fact. At this point I prefer my plastic liner over a spray on because you can still take it out and it looks new underneath, but the spray is essentially permanent.
The dealership where I got my truck did sprayed in bed liner because I said there was rain dust in bed and I regret them doing it. They got alot. Of over spray on the pain like outside the bed? Anyone know how I can get the over spray removed with out damaging my paint. And thing the got me ticked off is the scratched up my rear bumper too..smh
Way to go Dan !!!! Very nicely done my Friend 👍👍😊 what kind of price range are we looking at for the 3 different levels??
Thanks again, Rodney
Thanks man! I think they start around $500 and go up to $800
That's one long ass drive.
Beater F250?
7:04 What?!?! I thought that was a robot arm or something!
I thought it was a robot too😂😂😂
I wish my beater truck was that nice.
How much did it cost
Paint your liner and install a drop in liner and bam done!
hello i looking a bed liner for my nissan frontier 2022
Y’all didn’t bother to take out the bed bolts?
Feels like this truck never had a plastic bedliner, they just put it on just for the sake of this video.
Can you tell me exactly how much time was spent on sanding alone?
probably 30 minutes, its scuffing more than sanding.
How much?
The main question that's always been on my mind is, in case of a serious accident to the point of a total loss on the truck, how or who pays for such an investment? My apologies for asking what maybe a dumb question but it's something to think about.
I have f150 2020 and I though I was a baller with my 2004 salvage Tacoma beater lmao
lol
Fast forward to 6:30 watch it, then after that push the mute button to finish
lol. You B cool
Try this on a real truck. 78 f250 ranger. Rusty bed from farm work. No way this would work. Or not for a reasonable price. How much this cost?
It’s not meant to fix the bed. It’s meant to prevent damage to it.
We don't want a plastic bedliner that's going to scratch up the paint. So what's the first step in applying Line-x? Well ... you have to sand off the top coat of paint to get it to adhere.
LIneX stays on forever
Line x the Kabota tractor
That would be cool
Garage floor
damn you think these dudes would use some chemical paint stripper to lighten up the grinding job a bit.
Scuffing is not the same and stripping paint...
Aluminum cannot rust thru
Does anyone know the price to do this?.
I just got my 8 foot bed F250 done it was 760 something I think
Pennsylvania usa
Holy freakin advertisement!
What does it cost to get a truck bed linex?
I was quoted $470 plus tax.
@@dennydeckerful thanks
They tried so hard to make it look bad 😂
Typical IL sales pitch..... I mean come on 4 minutes of sales pitch it was painful..... even with my cousin vinny trying to give his best Chicago ascent knowing he doesn’t even live with in the city limits
Oh and you have a leak some where on that truck sounded like a exhaust leak when they pulled it outside
Beater?? Well it is a Ford.. so…
Aluminum doesn’t rust so what is the problem
Corrosion and dents
Ribbed plastic that adds strength, or gooey spray paint that you have to scuff up and ruin the paint on your truck? I'll stay with an actual bed liner.
This video presents like a scripted infomercial for Line-X in Prairie Grove Illinois. I’d bet this guy received a serious discount or for free in exchange for their services. This is fine as long as your conflict of interest is disclosed. It’s almost impossible to give a honest review of a product you received for free. Otherwise the product seems pretty good.
Yup this video doesn't pass the smell test at all. And drop in liner works fine.
“Traction sucks for unloading 200 lb oak rounds
Do it right, or do it twice......
Dude say's he's done over 30,000 line-x bed liners If he's been in business for 25 years, that would be 1200 a year. It takes 4 hours do one. What grade of math did you finish? 2nd grade?
He always has like 4 or 5 going at the same time
Line X !!! Is the better option you need for your trucks 👌🏻 they make me a great 👍🏻 job on my truck 🛻 100%recommend
