I have the Treasure Box of the Switch version coming from the NIS store. I love the Fate/ universe and am a huge fan of many of these characters from Fate/Grand Order so this has been one of the games I've been looking forward to most. If you liked this, you should keep an eye out for Fate/Extra Record which has been in the works for awhile...
Looks cool, also I agree that we need some Yakuza games on the Switch, I think that even if they start porting from first in release order that would be good, there was a lot to do in these games, like being in a completely alive city filled with minigames and side missions
Maybe it is because I'm used to play games in low fps and low quality, but I think it is the standard for the console (compared to other games, I would even say it is one of the best). Obviously, it is not perfect, and in other platforms it is better, but I knew where I was getting at if I played the Switch version (I had a blast either way, because the story was the most important part for me). Great review for the performance, I have a friend that is insecure of playing on Switch, so this video will help a lot. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that we players can enjoy the games we play, independently of the platform. Some people are really butthurt for which console is better, like the companies are going to thank them or something. I chose the Switch version because is the only thing I have besides my laptop (and I'm not confident about the performance I could get there). Besides, I love having these games in physical format, specially for a franchise that is very Japan only in terms of merchandise. If I had a poweful PC or a PS5, I would have played in one of those platforms most likely (though I love to bring the Switch with me outside, so that is still a big reason for me to doubt).
I wish when people reviewed games like this that they wouldn't completely tell people not to buy it because the other versions run better. These minor issues shouldn't completely deter people from buying a great game.
@@Oggre Some people prefer to play their games on the Switch and don't mind minor framerate issues. No reason to deter people from buying a version if the Switch is their main console.

That's really weird because all Switches are the same and all copies of the game are the same and the game runs the same on every Switch, and the video shows the game running like absolute dogshit with really bad FPS (under 15 FPS very often), and there is massive input lag, and the resolution is awful at times. But your version of the game is running fine? That's really weird. Perhaps you should let Nintendo know (maybe email them) because you might have a special version of the game (or a special Switch) that they could perhaps look at to find out what is different and maybe release to everyone else, so that we all get the good performance that you are getting? That would be really cool 🎮💪🏼

Interesting review definitely appreciate it. Currently playing this game myself on the switch and I’m not experiencing any of the issues you are talking about in the video. Perhaps I’m just lucky, or I’m just not noticing any of the issues you are talking about for the switch version… stillI personally have not had any major problems or issues with delayed response times after button inputs. Si es sorprendentemente extraño, pero sucede. En exploración en la ciudad es cuando peor funciona, se resiente demasiado! Sin embargo en combate es bastante mejor (cuando debería ser al revés) lo cual salva la experiencia de juego.
I have a question currently it’s on sale by 43% in Europe, both the best game and digital deluxe…. My question is, would you get this game at this discount?
Mm. They should really lock this game at 30fps for the switch. From what i can see in this video the exploration part looks very choppy. Maybe they patch it soon.
so......the problem is framerate and performance.....not crashes, not glitches..... it may be fix with some patches?........ i believe the experience is the same?.... I still dont see the problem with this, when your comparing with the performance in the switch and the playstation
I really don't get it how the framerate can drop so much during exploration but be almost always very fluid during fights that occurs... IN THE SAME AREAS AS EXPLORATION ??? Also, there was a fight with a GIANT snake that took the whole screen, I was expecting the Switch to die on that fight and no, the framerate never dropped for some reasons. Weirdly enough, I had the impression the game lagged less after collecting objects on the ground. Could it be that light making the game lag ?
like any game performance doesnt mean crap to me as long as it doesnt hinder my enjoyment and much like pokemon scarlet rune factory 5 and disgaea 6 samurai remnant performance didnt hinder my enjoyment at all outside one huge aspect extremely long load times more often than not every time the game needed to load something (which was extremely often) i was more often than not looking at that load screen for anywhere between 1-3 minutes.... the load times really reminded me of valhalla knights 3 on the vita lol another fantastic game if it wasnt for the load times
I’m playing this on the PS5 right now. Great game & definitely a surprise hit for me. Honestly, while it runs 4K 60 on the ps5, it’s not the best looking game on there by far. There are some rough textures, here & there. Likely because this game had to run on the Switch too & they couldn’t go too crazy with detail. It feels held back on ps5. Still, it runs buttery smooth. I briefly considered getting this on the Switch but opted for the Ps5 instead, mainly because I think the gap between the Switch & current gen PlayStation & Xbox is too great now. The Switch 2 needs to happen soon. I love my current Switch & normally prefer to support it, over PlayStation, but the gap is growing. It’s hard to justify buying a multiplat game like this one, on Switch when you have a ps5 sitting there that you know will run it better. The Switch 2 would make that decision a lot more difficult, if things were more comparable.
really interesting that this game sold more on Switch than the PS5 version in its 1st week despite knowing the performance wouldn't be as good as the PS5, i think it sold 50k units on Switch then 30k on PS5.
The Way of the Samurai has never truly interested me, unfortunately, nor has the warrior genre. I will be passing on this on, but I wish the Switch version was a bit better for the fans.
I'm sorry, but that "the hardware just doesn't quite cut it" comment is completely false. This game IS NOT as demanding as No Man's Sky or The Witcher 3, judging by the gameplay, the scenarios, the amount of animations at any given time, etc. This is NOT a hardware problem. It's an OPTIMIZATION problem. Again, a game like this looking and running like it does, when we have games that are a lot more demanding and happen to look and run a lot better on the same console, only points at the lack of proficiency of the developers. Heck, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is running and looking better nowadays, and that game has a lot more things going on on the screen than this one. Then we also have Fate/Extella Link, for example, another game within the same genre, but with a lot more enemies and a lot flashier animations, that also happens to look AND run a lot better than this Fate/Samurai Remnant. This makes no sense, honestly.
Feels very much lately like the switch is showing its age. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if the games were so ridiculously highly priced aswell... This is a good example of a game that looks fun, but gameplay & performance has to be number 1 priority 😢
