Update: Shot a deer with this Broadhead, don’t tell! Video will be coming. But got an amazing pass through hard quartered away. Exit hole looked like a solid chunk of meat was blown out. Very happy. 👍👍🤘
Congrats Tim! I know it's only 125 but I always recommend the QAD exodus, it's been on my arrows for 7 season taking over a dozen animals from moose elk and deer and had perfect performance every time,
I run the 200gr Valkyrie center pin system with Black Eagle X-Impacts. They’ve been darts out to 80 yards for me so far. Very forgiving for a fixed blade and easy to resharpen with the Valkyrie paper wheel. It’s really a one stop shop for arrow set up on his website.
Tim looked defeated knowing Dan’s broad head was the winner…I am still in the market for a good broadhead so I’ll have to give this a look. Thanks for showing your progress and steps how you came to your decision. Good luck
A couple of things I would of liked to seen different. The full Valkyrie system comes with a Jag wax that u cover the broadheads with. Makes a big difference. Brent Hahn thought of everything. That's why there is the Bloodsport. The full Valkyrie Viking Centerpin system is more like this. U buy 6 shafts & make them. I recommend the Blackeagle X-Impact's cuz u can get them in a 250 spine. The Victory VAP TKO's r very tough but they have an extra 90* wrap of carbon on them. This makes them a little heavier & stronger & they recover quicker. But they only make them down to a 300 spine & your FOC with the X-Impact will keep your arrow weight down while raising your FOC a little. Win/win. After u decide which broadhead weight & whether u want the regular Jagger or short Jag with the Centerpin system u put the 22 grain outsert on with AAE MAX IMPACT glue that is good for one year in the frig. Get the Jag wax & the 2 sharpening wheels & there r several videos on RUclips of this. After that u shoot them for hunting for the next 20 years. There is a good likelihood the heads will hold up & they have a guarantee, u just pay shipping. Since u r getting a system that blows through an animal it all comes down to what terrain u hunt & what that arrow hits after passing through. 20 years of rinse, sharpen & repeat. Lots of time not wasted & with it u can scout more.
Yeah im using the muzzy one. My bows shoot them perfect. They are a little noisy but fly perfect. I have tryd slick trick in the past and I like them but the blades you can't sharpen. I like having a solid 1 peace broadhead that you can sharpen and not just replace the blades.
I'm running mechanicals now, but QAD Exodus heads were the best and sharpest in my opinion. Anytime get the itch to shoot a fixed blade, it's QAD or nothing. The G5 Montecs were pretty good heads too.
I’ll tell what flies is your release hand. Pull thru the shot & keep your release hand tight along your face & neck. In your thoughts while activating your Rhomboids try to touch your back shoulder.
I wish there were more 150 grain options out there. I really like how the QAD Exodus 125 grain are flying so I'm running 75 grain insert weight. What's the blade thickness on the Micro Hades?
The reaper blades are thinner and shorter than the Valkyrie blades therefore there's less surface area for the target to grab and slow through friction which is why they have greater penetration that the Valkyrie.
The length of the head is why it seems like it was penetrating more. They was probably about the same.. good to see the 50 dollar head flying with the expensive head tho. I'm shooting magnus this season. I have some stingers coming in the 150s and I have some 100 black hornets.. Still fun video man. Good luck thanks for the video
You wanna do a video shoot the blitz against micro h 3 blade. They are exact same broadheads but the blitz blades are angled to help spin in flight. They literally shoot the same spot as field points out of my mathews
Cool video, confidence is key! As an internet expert🤣 perhaps a tuning issue as the only truly solid beoadhead hit left? The vented heads would be more forgiving? But having said that, hitting where your aiming is the key!!!
I'm having the same issue with the 150g cutthroats. I can break nocks with a bareshaft/fletched at 30 yards, and my other broadheads all hit with field points at 40-50, but not the cutthroats. No matter what I do tuning-wise they're just not consistent for me. The best I've gotten out of them at 40 yards is impacting within 5 inches of field points. I'm kinda disappointed tbh, and glad I only bought 3 instead of spending $150 on 6 like I initially planned on.
@@ElkShape There's at least a few other people here in the comments having the same issue, so I don't feel like all my tuning experience is invalid; At first I was convinced the problem was on my end, my tuning, my shooting. Maybe it is, but the fact I can get 4 other broadheads all tuned just fine and my bareshafts fly perfectly makes me think it's not. The broadheads appear to be well built, but that seems to be the only positive so far. I had a bit of trouble getting a decent edge on them, and when I finally did the first shot into foam dulled them significantly. I was planning on getting some 150 or 200g single bevels, but after this experience I'm not so sure.
I just tagged out for the state season with an elk my biggest and I used a grim reaper expandable 100 grain and the entry hole looked like it was shot with a rifle lol and it did some damage...

Woodsman Elite or Blood Groove. Please feel free to add more options in a reply comment. I shoot the qad exodus 125 as my best flyer and super durable. Can resharpen or replace the blades. Also use the ozcut eite 3 blade 125. Fly very well too and can resharpen. Third best is the magnus stinger 4 blade. Fly great at 100 grain but not as forgiving as the others at 125 grain.
Yeah but with any broadhead if you're saying erratic flight is flight out of your arrow something is not right and it takes some fine tune and when it comes to shooting fixed weight broadheads Honestly the best way I have found is to shoot a filter is chewy a field tip and then shoot your broadhead if they are not on top of each other move the broadhead toward the field point to word where you want to hit move your wrist that way
You seem to be one of that never heard that tuning to a particular type is necessary not meaning one kind is flying off. Must tune bow for each type of 3 blades. Also pay attention to tightening 3 blades and in what position are the blades compared to others if you don't want to tune it. Some have half turn more some half turn less meaning it will affect one compared to another based on that half turn difference in blades position. You can't just put on broadheads and shot them without tuning and make comparison
Good video. Not related to broadheads but I'm curious if you guys have seen any wobble develop out of those Victory RIP TKO? The dozen I've been shooting for about 4 or 5 months now, 8 of them have developed a wobble. Never saw that happen with carbon before.
@@TimConnor13 I should have pointed that out. I use the HIT style insert. Some are Easton some are Ethics. I’ve used Axis since the came out and haven’t seen this happen. Of course the Victory are a thinner wall for the lighter GPI…but, oh well.

Shoot 10 ends of 5 arrows a day @ 10 to 20 yards to build up endurance. Do not shoot groups to save arrows.
The reaper blades are thinner and shorter than the Valkyrie blades therefore there's less surface area for the target to grab and slow through friction which is why they have greater penetration that the Valkyrie.
