Last I checked, corrupting a kyber crystal, or 'bleeding', as it's referred to in lore, takes a while. You have to meditate with the crystal and pour your hatred, anger, and pain into it over a period of time. And it didn't always work. But if you're a strong powerful whaman, it's like changing the LED setting on your keyboard/mouse

Sadly this is what you get when you try to fit the story to the actress and not vice versa. Lesley Headland has mentioned many times the moment she met Amandla that she wanted her to be in the Star Wars show (that wasn't written yet) - this was consolidated further when she found the (real-life) Afr-American twins to act as the younger counterparts. No auditions were held, neither were there test-screenings or script-readings. This was (mainly?) due to the dearth of the type of actresses (without mentioning race) involved. Those who were good (or better) actresses that were approached rejected the role (either due to Star Wars as a franchise, or they read the script).
I was physically cringing at the start of the episode when she was trying to act "terrified" from the helmet visions but simply looked constipated...then using the force to choke Sol...disinterested? Her face basically has one look. Horrible acting.
TPM and AotC aren't the best, but their problems lie in the acting and dialogue (due to directing). They do not lie in the plot and character motivations, which is the largest problems with The Acolyte.
I will not consider thus Canon going forward. If I want to do a chronological marathon of Star Wars. I'm starting with Phantom Menace. This show deserves to be forgotten.

The writing was so bad, I developed a conspiracy theory. Someone on the writing team was a hardcore, lore based fan. They saw the writing, hated it, and sabotaged it by making it worse. Like adding more holes on a sinking ship. If they spoke out, they would've been fired and cast out. But if you tank a series so badly, corporate could finally say "oh god. This isn't working anymore. We need to get back on track. We need to be better." The only way something changes is when the corporates wallet hurts.
One thing that should be mentioned is that Amandla Stenberg is not a good actress. She does not have the skill or gravitas to play two separate characters with differing personalities. Her hand to hand fight scene was a stiff laughable joke. She was not believable or credible whatsoever and it's ridiculous that a barely trained badly written Padawan can disarm and Force choke a Jedi Master. Just awful. Gamespot just posted an editorial about how Disney should commit to a season 2 "immediately" and I really hope Bob Iger pays no attention to that.

It is easy to assume that Rebecca Henderson probably has the same world views and interest of injecting real world social issues into the work they are doing. Sadly this is what you get when you try to fit the story to the actress and not vice versa. Lesley Headland has mentioned many times the moment she met Amandla that she wanted her to be in the Star Wars show (that wasn't written yet) - this was consolidated further when she found the (real-life) Afr-American twins to act as the younger counterparts.
No auditions were held, neither were there test-screenings or script-readings. This was (mainly?) due to the dearth of the type of actresses (without mentioning race) involved. Those who were good (or better) actresses that were approached rejected the role (either due to Star Wars as a franchise, or they read the script).
I was physically cringing at the start of the episode when she was trying to act "terrified" from the helmet visions but simply looked constipated...then using the force to choke Sol...disinterested? Her face basically has one look. Horrible acting.
My wife was like WHERE IS THE ANGRY GUY REVIEW AT?!. Finally here! Haha

I've bought Factor myself. They are *not* cost effective. The initial discount helps, but the moment that discount ends you're gonna be paying *alot* even for the smallest box. As for the meals themselves, they love giving you green beans with everything. I ordered something that didn't have green beans...and got green beans lol. Best meals cost more than the other ones. Some of them are legit really good, but others..not so much. Basically - go for it if you don't have time to make your own dinners and cancel the moment that discount ends or you'll start seeing $100+ dollar charges.

In George Lucas's Star Wars, red Khyber crystals are synthetic. The lore change to bleeding was done by Disney. You need to pour all your hatred and malice to create a red crystal. Vader tried and failed many times to make his red saber before he finally succeeded, because Vader was still, even while being a Sith, very conflicted.

The writing was so bad, I developed a conspiracy theory. Someone on the writing team was a hardcore, lore based fan. They saw the writing, hated it, and sabotaged it by making it worse. Like adding more holes on a sinking ship. If they spoke out, they would've been fired and cast out. But if you tank a series so badly, corporate could finally say "oh god. This isn't working anymore. We need to get back on track. We need to be better." The only way something changes is when the corporates wallet hurts.
One thing that should be mentioned is that Amandla Stenberg is not a good actress.
She does not have the skill or gravitas to play two separate characters with differing personalities. Her hand to hand fight scene was a stiff laughable joke. She was not believable or credible whatsoever and it's ridiculous that a barely trained badly written Padawan can disarm and Force choke a Jedi Master.
Just awful. Gamespot just posted an editorial about how Disney should commit to a season 2 "immediately" and I really hope Bob Iger pays no attention to that.
Sol is literally the only kind of cool character that Disney has made, since they bought Star Wars… and they killed him off… after thoroughly assassinating his character.
Thats just fondness of the actor, Sol was an awful jedi and weird character.
