Fifty years from now Welch and Rawlings will be considered among the greats in modern American music, just as if we're old enough we think now of bands in 1968. Enjoy 'em while you got 'em.
It's all about the singing. The harmony singer(s) look at the lead singer. The lead singer makes sure the harmony singers can see the lead singer's face. If there are just two singers, then the lead singer can face the harmony singer. With more than one harmony singer, the lead singer faces ahead and the harmony singers face the lead singer. In this case, it looks like Willie Watson is keying his singing on Gillian, and Gillian is keying on David. See their performance of "Going to California" and you'll see Willie looking at David. ruclips.net/video/jYeq6XoOg8s/видео.html

it just rolls beautifully with Dave, Gillian, and Willie and there harmonies along with the backing sound of fiddle and base.
Put this on repeat, get happier and happier
David is playing Homer Haynes old D'Angelico!! A treasure!!
Still coming back
You can go all the way to Scotland on this one... roll on...
These guys are amazing
I just received David's Almanac for my birthday. Spectacular album, though I always have to press repeat on this first song before I can move on.
Dave is one of the best folk guitarists ever!
Awesomeness 😊❤
Doesn't get any better.
Fabulous musicians and great picking by David Rawlins. They are great now, no need to wait....just saying
Perfection as always

So damn good! bravo!
Wish they would look at each other like they used to. Music is so sweet though.

Hey, does anybody know if something happened to their guitars?
Es willie Watson ahí?
does gillian have her A string tuned up to a B?
Wait a minute.. where's Dave's Epiphone?!
He switched to a 1959 D'Angelico Excel he found at Gruhn's
@@christopherlyerly4631 happily, "switched" is not the right word. he has added the d'angelico.
I love Rawlings's playing as much as anybody does, but I never liked the Epiphone. The guitar he's playing in this video sounds WAY better!
only 7577 recalls until now? Hey! C'mon folks! You should be ashamed! One bilion calls wouldn't do!
Trop bon !en France on a rien de tout ça !
