So I loaded up the truck to take my daughter to college. The day prior the air was getting warm. I knew we had a good hour of driving and today in Indiana it was going to be 90+ degrees. So 10 minutes before we took off I got on here, saw your video, grabbed the can and headed to the truck. Your video was quick and easy to follow. I’ve done this a dozen times but I always second guess myself. Cold air all the way to the college. Thank you my friend! And my daughter thanks you.
This may be the 2nd video I've ever looked up in 12 years that actually gets right to the point and don't have to hear several wasted minutes listening to pointless bs and I just wanna say THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I was apprehensive about how many RUclips videos I had to watch to get this right, and I only had to watch one, this one. Thanks Bro, super legit video! 🙌🏻
Yeah, thank you very much for getting straight to the point You get tired of watching some of these yahoos explain 200 different things that have nothing to do with what you're trying to accomplish, so thank you again very much, good job
Good video, straight to the point without all the talking like some people do. Very helpful. Thank you! A/C is working great now! Been miserable the last couple weeks in this heat.
Unrelated, but my truck sounds the exact same. What is that ticking engine sound? I was concerned something is wrong with my truck but your engine sounds identical!
You need to look into the timing cam phasers and timing kit videos on here. Look for videos by fordtechmakeuloko I have the same engine and trust me you’ll want to correct this problem as it’s not normal and is a sign of bad things to come
I’m hurt that you don’t want to listen to me ramble about things you don’t care about. Lol jk yeah that’s why I started my channel. I was sick of watching videos that were 15 minutes of rambling nonsense and 3-5 minutes of actual “how to.” Glad you liked it. 👍🏼
Thank you for this video! It's the first one I found (I've been through soooooooo many videos) that shows me where the a/c port was on my 2000 F150. I appreciate it! 👏🏼🙌🏼
So just get it around 40? I have an 11th gen F-150 too a 2004 I got at an auction gonna try this but don’t want to mess up the ac and overfill. You have an opinion on the ones with leak sealer in them?
I saw another RUclips video to charge a vehicle AC and it suggested you purge the line with Freon before attaching it to port to keep from introducing air and moisture to the system.
Not if there is still pressure in the system. If you just installed a new compressor or condenser etc… then yes you should purge the air with a vacuum pump for the longevity of the system. If you don’t your system will still work, but any moisture in the system will reduce longevity.
@@DirtRoadAutoRepair it didn’t work ☹️ I think the compressor is not good.. it started making a noise. Or maybe I’m not doing something right, the ambient temperature was 110F
Every time I try hooking the hose to the truck to recharge it just spews green liquid back at me. Recharged the ac on a few vehicles and never had this issue.
HI. IS IT IMPERATIVE TO USE EXACTLY THE SAME COOLANT as already in the system? in other words, to be safe, does the system need to be purged before proceeding with your instructions? I HAVE THE SAME MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR as that in your helpful video. I have owned the vehicle for 4 years, and don't know what type of coolant is in the system now.
@@joedwigans7847 Thanks for your kind reply. Due to some ominous warnings on the back of the kit I purchased, mainly regarding the importance of the compressor oil level, I ended up going to a shop that specializes in a/c recharge. I think the price was fair at approx 100.00 taxes included.
Could you fill it to 50 I recharge my ford explorer today and had to use whole can and its only on like 35 I was wondering if I should purchase more to fill it to 50 or is 40 the sweet spot
When the gauge jumps around it means that the compressor is kicking on and off. When it turns on the needle will drop until the pressure is too low then it will turn off and the needle will spike back up. (To the same level as when the AC is off) You need to add more refrigerant until the pressure stays up high enough that the compressor doesn’t turn off.
Have a ford f150 2006 bougbt a can with the gauge and the needle read to the red line check the instructions and said to get a technician I'm a doing g something wrong?
That's just the system regulating itself keep adding until the ac clutch in the middle stays on then that's when you will get the correct reading I did my ford explorer today and it was doing the same thing Goodluck
Thank you for getting right to the point and not sharing a story from when you were a child
For sure! Lol that’s why I started making videos. Figured that if it bugged me that much there was other people out there that felt the same way.
😂😂
Now here’s a guy😂

finally someone who gets straight to the point
It’s one of the main reasons I started the channel.
This may be the 2nd video I've ever looked up in 12 years that actually gets right to the point and don't have to hear several wasted minutes listening to pointless bs and I just wanna say THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Literally just straight to the point no additional story no extra information. Thanks

Awesome. Glad to hear that! 👍🏼
This was amazing! As someone who knows next to nothing about cars, you made it very easy and went straight to the point. I appreciate it
No problem 👍🏼
Thank you! We recharged the AC in our 04 F150 before we left the store parking lot and are enjoying the ride home for the first time in ages.
Good deal! Glad to hear it!
I realize I am quite randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
@Jayceon Dean Flixportal =)
@Samir Manuel thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!
@Jayceon Dean Happy to help :)

No problem at all. 👍🏼
The mechanic wanted $130 to recharge. I paid $32 for premium recharge kit. It took me about 5 minutes. AC is now ice cold! 🧊❄☃️ Thank You!
No Problem! Thanks for watching!
Good video, straight to the point without all the talking like some people do. Very helpful. Thank you! A/C is working great now! Been miserable the last couple weeks in this heat.
Straight to the point, shows clearly where everything is and how to do it.
Thumbs up. Thanks.
You got to love how this is just helpful and easy to do, step by step. And you can hear him clearly. Thank you!
Thank you for this vid. It’s nice to see other 5.4 3V owners out there…
No problem. 👍🏼
Straight to the point deserves a subscriber
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Thank you... exactly what I needed to know to get my air running cold again in my F150!
Great to hear!
Thank you for getting right to the point. This is why I prefer your videos.
No problem!
Wow, I feel so dumb! My mechanic charged me almost $300 to refill my AC smh.. thank you so much for sharing and also getting right to the point!
No problem. Don’t feel dumb. Feel confident that next time you’ll be able to save yourself a bundle of cash. 👍🏼
Thank you 😅 such a helpful video.

Thank u it worked for my husband 2007 f 150 right away we are so relived
Definitely gave me the info i was looking for
As was stated below me it’s nice when I type in what I want to see and that’s what I see nothing more nothing less , thanks

Personally I don’t use the leak stop unless I have to refill multiple times a season. Yes fill to 40-45. 👍🏼
Hell yeah brother straight to the point. Gave a thumbs up
Good and strait to the point. Thank You!!!!
No problem!👍🏼
If you feel the can cold it's working in sending the freon.
Yes! That’s a good sign.
I saw another RUclips video to charge a vehicle AC and it suggested you purge the line with Freon before attaching it to port to keep from introducing air and moisture to the system.
Depending on the hose you have that is a good idea. Mine seals and hold pressure so no need to purge it.
The perfect video for a/c recharge
No need to purge air?

Damn cam phaser knocking lol mine does the same!
It’s the common problem with all 5.4s lol
Thank you for a straight to the point Video
no problem. I started this channel because I was sick of watching 30 min videos that could have been 3 minutes long.
@@DirtRoadAutoRepair dam I hear ya lad, so many videos with unnecessary "content". You got more vids coming up?
Yeah. I try to make a video of every job I do. I've got probably 30-40 videos back logged.
Thank you for this brotha❤❤❤❤
No problem 👍🏼
Excellent video
Thanks!
Thanks man

Ok.. true about saving us from a long story time session LOL but I’m about to try it! 🙏 I hope
I don’t do anything wrong and it works 😂

Does anyone here know how many ounces of refrigerant this truck takes?
Thank you, I will do that today
YEAH like the Google stories that take you thru 50 pages of BS! NOT THIS VIDEO! LOVE IT!
For sure! I hate those. That’s a large reason why I started this channel. 👍🏼
Hey do these recharge hose vary in size? The one I have is to small for my f150? Also can’t hear the audio so sorry if this was answered
Thanks helped me a lot

Thank you!

I got the can from o reillys, am i supposed to remove the orange plastic cap underneath?
Thumbs up 👍. Right to the point. Thanks 🙏

Only sell one kind. R134 is what is used in ALL makes and models in later model vehicles. R12 was used many years ago and no longer sold in stores.

Are you squeezing the trigger the whole time?
Yes. With the exception of when I’m reading the gauge. When you squeeze the trigger the gauge will read zero.
Perfect, thanks!
No problem! Thanks for watching!

Is the process the same on a 4.6 08
Good to know. I assumed that was the case, but being that I didn't have one to check I just listed it for the 5.4. Thanks for pointing that out!
I’ve got a 2010
Wow thanks so much!!!
No problem!
Thanks, I just did it
My gauge keeps jumping up and down once it’s started. When it’s off it shows steady pressure.
Where is the Amazon link for the ac hose?
AC Recharge KIT: amzn.to/2VtiuMV
Recharge Hose: amzn.to/3f1hUy1
R-134a Refrigerant: amzn.to/35jIxK0
Mannnnnnnn you made it make sense 💯💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Hey, my F150 ac clutch keep engaging and off frequently, when it spin then pressure is under 15psi but when it stop it goes to 75psi
That's just the system regulating itself keep adding until the ac clutch in the middle stays on then that's when you will get the correct reading I did my ford explorer today and it was doing the same thing Goodluck
