    Good video! My car is 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS, currently at 125k. About a month ago it wasn’t blowing cold air so I decided to use one of this refrigerant cans and accidentally put to much in the system. Had to take it to a shop so they evacuated the whole system, changed the expansion valve and refilled it. It didn’t seem to work cause a/c was working but not getting cold air as it should. Now I’m having this issue with my RPM at idle when the A/C is on. It also have this little noise coming from the blower motor, but it only seems to happen when idling. Car runs smooth, but at red lights or stop signs RPM goes down and it becomes shaky and then this noise from the blower motor comes out (it only happens when a/c is on).
    Also replaced the throttle body, coils, spark plugs, MAP sensor, PCV valve because of this rough idle, and right now IDK what else to do with this. Dealer was asking for $550 for just a diagnosis and I don’t trust them anymore, so I’m running out of ideas

      I would check all of the vacuum lines for leaks and to make sure they are connected to the proper component. That could cause the rough idle. Also check for any engine fault codes. For the AC, obviously check the freon pressure first. If that is good (not too low or too high) I would check the mixer motor. There is a small electric motor with plastic gears that mixes the hot and cold air depending on the temperature you set on the control panel. I have had to change out several of these. You might also check your cabin air filter. Leaves and twigs often fall into this area and can impede the blower motor. Hope this helps.

      you'll have to by pass the AC/pressure switch, high or low first using a coated wire. There is a video on youtube: How to bypass the AC pressure switch using a paper clip. Something close to that. Just try the easiest to get to one first and move the other if that is not the one. Several videos on this topic. I was told twice; I needed a new compressor. I only have 121,000 on my car. It's hard to believe. I am going to try this. Shops don't want to replace small parts. They want to go for the jugler.

    I replaced everything, compresser, condenser, expansion valves and dryer. I recharged the system and still, the compresser sometimes engage and sometimes it doesn't. It just turn alittle, sometimes one second as I felt a vibration, then off for three seconds, then one second for vibration, then off. Now I'm lost. Please help me find out what is the problem. Now I know it can't be the compresser since it's brand new. I added oil in it. It's hard to turn the clutch after I checked to see why. I don't know if I added enough oil or if that could be the problem. My vehicle is Dodge Grand Caravan 2002, with rear AC. I put about half of 8oz. of oil into the low side hole in the compressor. I already got the old one out as much as I can before putting it in.

      @@gigiesparza396 Just an update. I replaced the starter a month ago, and I forgot to disconnect the battery before doing that. So when I moved the wire, it sparked. The mechanic said that the two wires to the AC clutch was shorted, and they fixed it. Now it's running.

    • @327JohnnySS
      @327JohnnySS 23 дня назад

      @@dmana3172, I replaced a ac compressor on a vehicle because when I put power to the compressor it would just spark. The magnet that engaged the clutch was shorted out and kept blowing fuses. The AC compressor has a free wheeling crank shaft that is a straight shaft. When there is power to the compressor the magnet draws the pulley to engage the shaft just like a standard transmission. If the pressure plate doesn't compress the the clutch to the power of the engine flywheel the transmission shaft will not turn. If your fuses are good most likely a faulty pressure switch that is not letting the clutch to engage. There are videos about how to test the switch. You can do that with a paper clip yet some vehicles have a 3 wire switch so you would have to get the information to know what two connections have to be jumped so you don't mess up the electrical component(s). Ac compressor in my car is clicking 1-3 sec on and off when engine is on idling and it blows ambient/hot air. But when I am on highway speeds the ac blows cold. I have been to a mechanic who checked for leakage but there was no leak. He said that the compressor clutch is bad. Can it be bad compressor clutch or some faulty pressure sensor or is it normal operation? I have volvo v50 1.6 diesel.

    • @chriss4365
      @chriss4365 4 месяца назад +3

      Not enough refrigerant. Probably has a slow leak in the schrader valves. Watch it when running if the clutch is going bad you'll see it slipping. The bearings in them do go bad too. Or is a weak magnet. They are not hard to change. Buy a hose and can of 134a from walmart and get the pressure on the low side around 35 with the ac running. when you check if it is less than 30 psi on low side when running you need refrigerant. I got videos on my channel about it might not be with your car but you can still learn about it. Look under the hood make sure you find out what refrigerant it uses before you buy anything.

    • @bajalal8977
      @bajalal8977 4 месяца назад +1

      @chriss4365 The mechanic I went to check for any leakage and none and the refrigant was also right amount. But if the compressor clutch is bad or weak magnet, wouldn't then the ac not work at all? In my case the ac seems to work when cruising on highway. What makes it work then? On highway speeds the engine rpm are around 2000 if that says anything.

    Mine is weird. The longer it's been sitting, the longer it takes to get cold at all. I mean, it will blow 70+ temp air until it gets to temp somewhere. No clue. The clutch turns but it doesn't get cold for 2-6 min straight. The interstate is 5min from my house. I can get all the way to the interstate and down it at least a mile before it will ever get cold. If I just drove it and let it sit for a few hours or so, it will take less time to cool down. It seems tho it takes longer if I haven't ran the AC when I drove it before.

    • @fixit3879
      @fixit3879  4 месяца назад +3

      I can think of following possible reasons:
      Faulty Compressor: A new compressor could be defective, causing rapid loss of refrigerant or pressure.
      Improper Installation: If not installed correctly, leaks may occur due to loose fittings, improperly seated seals, or missing o-rings.
      Incorrect Oil Charge: Using the wrong type or insufficient amount of compressor oil can lead to internal issues.
      System Contamination: Debris, moisture, or old refrigerant oil in the AC system before installing the new compressor can damage components and cause leaks.
      Pressure Relief Valve Issue: Faulty or incorrectly set pressure relief valves may release refrigerant unnecessarily, leading to pressure loss.
      System Blockage: Blockages in parts like the expansion valve or receiver/dryer can cause excessive pressure buildup and release of refrigerant.

      It's because the issue inside the car, Try again. Under the dash driver side unplug that heater /AC blend door actuator, And manually with your hand open it and shut it and mess with it for a minute plug it back in or leave it off for a minute to check things out. And put the blower knob on low not high, And or and open the glove box. Not under the glove box. But to the right side of it is another actuator unplug it and manually mess with it. Plug it back in or just leave it for a while to check things out. But I did this and it started blowing cold again . Like that. Idk why. It has something to do with under the dash. . but mine also if I stop it goes to 60* and when I go it goes to 40* and cycles again. But after messing with it like I told you. I can leave it on low and it cycles and works at stops . Idk why. I've been trying to figure it out for two years. I got this far a month ago. I've changed evap core and no leaks I've changed expansion valve nothing worked it's all the same it's something under the dash. And I'm annoyed with it. Mabye it's a pressure switch but when I run the fan on low and stuff it works properly so it can't be that. Idk why when the fans on low it works kinda more right doable. It mainly sits at ,50-49 now after messing with those actuators. And sometimes I move the heater AC knob back and forth . Once I turned the knob to heater and AC came thru. One I've turn AC on and heater came thru. That's the actuator under the dash maybe the heater core housing is messed up idk yet. . sometimes I kick the actuator under the driver dash gas pedal it kinda works better. Somthing to do with this area. Once a passenger got in and closed the door and it started working right . Could be the temp sensor on the actual evaporator. .

      @@mangkokhayon5039 today I filled the freon cause it was low and it started cooling real good . But then during the mid day heat it randomly stopped cooling while driving and blowing hot air. Now parked on my driveway in the evening for like an hour it's been cooling good non stop

      Does sound like possible AC pressure switch problem. Or you might just be low on refrigerant.

    In my car my AC keeps blowing at my feet and at the vents facing me. What could this be? It’s so annoying and makes my car harder to cool down😑

    • @fixit3879

      If your AC blows at both your feet and the vents, it could be due to a faulty mode door actuator or incorrect climate control settings.
