    Its hard to decide who I like more. A young man who never shows his face and opens all his videos with "hey guys", or a middle aged man who starts his videos with "Rev up your engines!" and always seems to be yelling at me.

      I love Scotty's videos! This young man here seems to know his stuff too. I don't care if they show their faces or not.
      Do they know what they're talking about? That's the key thing

      They are BOTH equally good no matter what way you look at them. ChrisFix is very through and detailed in his videos. ChrisFix taught me how to clean my windows and other various parts of my vehicle better than professional quality. My vehicles are so clean dealers keep hounding me to buy my vehicles because they are kept in pristine condition. Scott is great with mechanical advice, ChrisFix will teach how to get the job done!

    Chris did a great job explaining in DETAIL from one point to another. most Y-tubers lack those details. Chris Fix not only explains in detail - but he uses a clear microphone that overrides any load back noice. Chris made sure to go under the wheel / behind the bumper etc..... to allow the person watching this video an easy understanding on what he's doing
    Good Job Chris!!!!

    I've been doing my own repairs ever since I was 16 years old had 6 motor bikes then progressed to cars when reaching 17 and got my drivers license,
    It was always a suck it and see situation, only way to learn, in my 70s now
    So the motivation is sadly lacking, but I do enjoy these little videos from you guys, so I'd just like to say thanks for posting them and giving your time to show how things can be done, knowledge is a wonderful thing, cars are quite complicated nowadays, all computer driven. More sensors than the shuttle, anything goes wrong call the computer guy, even my auto box has 2 sensors, one goes wrong, got to change the box, the wonders of modern cars, regards,

    I already know the leaks going to be massive when I hit it with the UV light. As soon as I hit the trigger you can hear it escaping up by the condenser somewhere. The system won't even build pressure at all. Gonna check out that ring for sure.

    Do I see that you're going to do an AC Compressor install vid to accompany this? This is actually a job that I need to do on my 98 Corolla so I'm very interested in seeing this!

    • @chrisfix
      @chrisfix  9 лет назад +2

      ***** Yes! I am going to try to make make it cost around $100 (not including the compressor). Should be a fun video!

      ***** Depending on the vehicle, a compressor swap is a cake walk. Did a swap years ago on a 2000 S-10. Was a breeze. I just had to remove the belt, and basically unbolt the compressor.

    • @GregoryAsher
      @GregoryAsher 9 лет назад

      That's what I thought, the issue is I'll have to bring it to a shop to get it all evacuated. Cause I do have good refrigerant in my lines. Just the compressor is making a wicked bad thumping noise (like a bad piston) occasionally when running. I saw another comment about how this could be caused by the shop who did my cooler flipping the recharge can all the way upside down feeding liquid into the lines.

    Mine was making hissing sound on and off so I bought the refrigerator with leak sealer. Hope that'll help fix the leak if there's any and that hissing sound does not comes back on when I turn on the ac. In the future, I might just get the refrigerant with uv dye in it and check again for leaks. Great job for doing a thorough leak detecting using uv dye. That was very helpful. Keep up the great tutorial guide. I love watching all your videos as they are all very informative.

    Nice leak detecting. Another thing you might try if you don't seem to find the leak, is to try looking at the puddle of evaporator water on the ground to see if it has any die from evaporator leak. Since it's so hard to look in the box. I don't know if that really works any good but it's an idea.

    Thanks for the great video and taking away some of the mystery surrounding AC. One thing that springs to mind when you brought the UV torch out is that if you didn't own the vehicle from new it might be worth giving it the once over with the light before starting to ensure there isn't any pre-existing dye from a previous leak.

    • @warriormanmaxx8991
