Premature water pump failure erosion of aluminum parts from electrolysis

Opel Insignia 2011 2.0 cdti 4x4 sport automatic gearbox.After flushing gearbox car violently shakes and makes noise while getting shifted to D mode.Service shop at first didn't put enough atf oil and that was happening,took a car back to them and they put the rest of oil in that was missing,same thing was happeing after just less in strenght.I took car back to them,they checked everything and said everything is fine,but it wasn't.I asked from them to check ecu,tcm and stuff.They reinstalled softweare and problem went away,now after 2 months it came back.I doubt there is any mechanical issue due to what was happening before.I would say it is has to be something with electronics.Opinions?!

My 2017 Malibu Hybrid has been great overall. A couple of issues under warranty, but 98K miles so far and still runs/drives like new.

There is a knocking when turning steering wheel in park. Subaru replaced psr but the noise remains. I can't drive a straight line. As if i was a lil drunk. Irritating for sure. Subaru says nothing wrong. Not sure that they replaced anything.

The pump wont pump anymore because like hundreds of people like you, you guys don’t purge the pump and don’t fully fill the pump with oil, those pumps come with little to no oil.

I had à Citroen Relay. It wouldnt start and there were no lights on the dashboard. All because the earth strap had corroded. A New strap cured it for only £5 from the car accessories shop.

Thanks. Did mine with a donor rack from a civic with half my mileage. 103k vs 210k I had some trouble spots: Cover drive away with card board as this job messy. Had to use castle nut at top of the rod eye bolt to serve as 5lb sledge hammer strike surface and not marr up the bolt end. Using wood and soft metal not adequate for my 2009. It was super stuck. Had to wire wheel tie rod bolts(was rusty/dirty) as the castle nut must be very easy to move the whole distance or you can not torque it during reassembly. Don't install tie rod ends backwards or they rub wheel at half turn. I found out the hard way. 24 and 19mm wrenches needed for counter torque. Complete final torque once assembled through eyebolt and castle nut secured. Buy new OEM hose o-rings. Buy new high pressure hose Use Jack to remove sub frame there are just too many things to do with it staying on the car. Lower motor mount bolts/threads at reassembly gave me issues. Only remove the bolts when the subframe is fully attached and seated. The threads are very sensitive and the clearances are small. Mark spline on steering wheel inside car all the way up to the upper piece. As mine fell out and had to realign with trial and error.

I have Australian 2002 Ford Fairlane Ghia V8 (similar to Crown Vic in USA). Starts ok but has rough idle (shakes) and uses excessive fuel. Have replaced plugs, coils, fuel pump and inline filters so far. Also have added injector cleaner into tank and run 98 octane fuel in it. Still have hesitation on acceleration and bad economy problem. No CEL showing. Do you think I should replace the injectors? Have 268,000kms on odometer.

Most stories i get that lead me to look at somebodys car, result in finding the cables arent connected clean and tight at the battery posts. After that check of twisting, i go to their alt belt, and inspect visible ground straps. Body/frame, head or block, head to firewall, what have you. Its usually shoddy job by the last person who touched the battery and 1/2 ast it.

My vechile blow light grey smoke when crank then the smoke goes away. Will this be because of the pcv valve?

And my biggest symptom when I took it to the place was not just a check engine light, but it was the fact that every time I went to get gas it was like I couldn’t start my car. Nobody else was listing that or nor was it listed on Google when I put in to see about having a hard time starting the car specifically after reviewing. Refueling. The first time I had, the problem was right after refueling.

The majority of problems were with early run 2016 and 2017 models. The 2018 onward models improved greatly with the 2020 to current a pretty reliable car overall

The video is incorrect in inconsistent in how terms are used to describe and illustrate problem cause and effect pertaining to the many different types of circuits in modern vehicle electrical design. What follows is a clarification: 1) The head light ground currents do not return through an equipotential ground strap, they return through the harness ground wires back to the battery negative terminal. Usually through a ground splice power point or junction. External lighting loads, like a brake light, that use the body to conduct ground return currents back to the battery, will do so via a body to battery negative return wire (like an 8 AWG stranded copper cable) that will go directly from the body ground bolt, near the battery, to the battery negative, it is considered a ground connection and not an equipotential ground strap. An equipotential ground strap like between the body and the hood, common to see a tinned braided strap, is just to keep the hood and the body at the same electrical potential, and not to return load currents. 2) A bad starter ground, block ground, which here again is a dedicated ground connection to return starting current directly to the battery negative and not an equipotential strap, can have a high resistance which will not disrupt flow of voltage to the starter, as stated in the video, the faulty connection under load will have high electrical resistance will limit the flow of current. 3) A dead battery will not cause the same symptoms of a bad block ground. With a bad block ground you will see electrical loads activate upon key on, with the engine a no start. A dead battery, a completely discharged battery, will not activate any loads at key on, the car will be dead. 4) Interior lights can return currents through the body to battery negative return wire if they use the body as ground. Here again a the body to battery ground wire is usually not the problem. The problem is a bad ground connection between the interior lighting system and the body, usually a bolted or screw connection which is made in close proximity to the lighting loads. 5) A battery instrument cluster alert symbol represents a failure in the battery charging system. 6) A battery that is not being charged is a problem in the charging system and not an equipotential ground strap. The battery is being charged from the alternator output (red wire) and the block ground (black wire) which both terminate directly at the battery. The video shows a strap between the frame and the case of a transaxle which a equipotential strap and has nothing to do with the charging system. 7) Measuring battery voltage with a DMM directly at the battery posts with engine off key off will give you the battery terminal voltage loaded by vehicle sleep current events, it has nothing to do with a equipotential ground strap. Let me know if you think I missed anything.

Yes try adding transmission fluid to the engine, I had a 2018 Malibu it would shut off when sitting at a traffic like, if your fluid is low this will continue to happen when I added fluid to my car it never shut off again..
