The core remover tool... I learned something new today! The tool being used to pull the valve into the rim. Thanks very, very much for your taking the time and showing this. Best.
SAFETY WARNING: TR413 / TR415 valve stems are rated to 65psi SO if you need a stem for say an 80psi 15 passenger van tire, OR for a rim whose hole metal is past a certain thickness, then you need to google the correct valve stem. Otherwise a sudden blow out can occur and cause loss of control or a roll over... Thanks for the video. I'm off to Walmart to get a slime brand TR415 stem in stock, now that I know what I need to from research. Take care
You all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Anthony Jaylen thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Excellent video. You have a real knack for presenting and explaining things very clearly. It actually made me laugh how easily you were able to install those valve stems compared to people who have never done it before.
Seriously, THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video and Explain this. Thanks to you I was able to swap the valve stem on my Aunt's golf cart in only about 15 mins!
You know I looked up so many videos on how to break the bead on my trucks tire and never found anything that worked for me until you just said that about the bottle jack while looking to replace valve stem on my wheelbarrow.... Thanks for the videos, cheers!!!!
I did two of mine on my motorcycle with the wheels still on the bike. I broke the bead with two heavy duty slip clamps and two 2x3 pieces of wood. Then I kept the tire squeezed and reached my fingers inside the tire to get at the stem. Easy peasy.
1fanger Thanks. I think we get so caught up in the fear of trying something were not "certified" to do these days. You thought for yourself and did what you needed with what you had 40 yrs ago.
You know what, ive had the same tool since i was 18 and i allways thought that internal thread was only for cleaning the stem thread up, its got to be for pulling the stem through like you just showed. Ive had that tool 30 years and never seen the connection, lol there is allways something to be learnt :-))
I'll learn ya up a little North American inglish... Many verbs that are irregular in the Queesn's English have become regular in NA. Past tense of treat, for example, is tret in much of ur isles but treated over here. Learnt too, has simply become learned. Had to be re-educated in elementary school here as I spoke like my British(Geordie even) mother. Good day sir.
Brilliant tip about using the bottle jack under the car, i was going to use some wood and drive the car onto it (as per another video) but that was much safer and simple. Cheers
Nice instructional video. I used to hate seating tires on split rims. I'm glad they're mostly gone now. I had one ring let go (rim was worn but technically still serviceable) and it bent the cage. Took a few minutes to get the heart going again.
Spit rims are very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing so say you got it on and back together it is worth working the hammer around the lock ring to make shure it won't fly off and hurt you also any rust or gunk between the ring and the rim must be cleaned off peferably a wire brush or a wire brush wheel that connects to a drill 👍
Amazing as a non mechanic watching what the mechanic is going to do to my vehicle is helpful. And just like that £40 gone for 4 tires after mot fail. Whilst I'm sad that's all they gotta do now I know where my money is going and to asses if I've been ripped off or not cheers
Nice quick job . I use an old tire stem and screw it on to the stem tool paint it yellow so I can find it in the tool box . I’ve lost a few in the past . They are so small .
Not everybody has that fancy-schmancy cone style valve installer this is the perfect video for the backyard basher they can do it without special tools
Owning a valve core remover is handy.even when you know someone you don't like you can take all their valve cores from their stems and put the valve covers back on so when they go to check their tyres and take the cover off. 😄
I'm high as hell at 6:12am n then enjoyed watching this video. I'm having an issue with my tire n this what I need for my tire. I learned something new this morning lol... Thanks for sharing the video 😁....have a good day everyone 😀
I appreciate the video; however, I have a question. Comparing how fully seated the bead was on the first tire before he popped the it, it didn't look like the first tire seated. What gives?
I searched the comments but couldn't find any info... Where did you get that inflator that clips on to the stem? Do you have a link? I can't find one anywhere... thanks!
Ah. U have a new aerosol can air-er-upper now! I watched that video a few years ago, can't tell u how many times I've used that trick! Almost as many times as people have ran away when I stick the air to the cans!🤣 People think those cans grenade at 30-40psi, and of course that's not the case 🤣
One heads up most videos miss about the soap or spit on the valve or bead of the tire..... That moisture does make it easier for an object to be pulled/pushed into or onto the rim. What's missing? The moisture assist is also why more tires are punctured when exposed to rain/mud/snow. A dry nail will meet more resistance in pushing into a tire. Therefore not fully puncture. Same nail with wet tire has higher chance. Just sayin'
+Tanner Matthews There are 2 types: the style I show in the video and others that need to be slide through the inside and then bolted down through the rim.
Never inflate a tire laying flat on the ground like that. Hold it upright or place it in a gage or on top of tire changer. When the beads seat when on the ground like you had it, it can send the tire into your face or into the ceiling if in a building.
Take care
Nice job.

Still one of the best on RUclips, had one of those tools for 50 years thought only for removing cores. See old dogs can learn new tricks. Why no dog?
Thanks Bill. Dog wasn't around for this one.

Haha, thanks for watching.
I did two of mine on my motorcycle with the wheels still on the bike. I broke the bead with two heavy duty slip clamps and two 2x3 pieces of wood. Then I kept the tire squeezed and reached my fingers inside the tire to get at the stem. Easy peasy.
Awesome.
Yee- Hah 65, you are so down to earth with your fix-it`s you remind me of me 40 years ago up till now! Thumbs up!

zx8401ztv I don't think it's meant for it but it works great at it.
I'll learn ya up a little North American inglish...

Good stuff. I always enjoy stopping by.

Brilliant tip about using the bottle jack under the car, i was going to use some wood and drive the car onto it (as per another video) but that was much safer and simple. Cheers
Ilofty Lofty Hey Thanks.
If you go to the same tyre shop for tyres and puncture they might do this for a couple of bucks or for free
Lifesaver. Thank you for loading this.

Simple fix on how to do valve stem replacement, nice Video, keep them coming.
RDViper2013 Thanks man.
Great video! You the man!

iceman22st Those were scary. I've never had to do one personally but I've seen it done. It doesn't take much, at least you had it in a cage.
I wouldn't do a split rim without a cage
Spit rims are very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing so say you got it on and back together it is worth working the hammer around the lock ring to make shure it won't fly off and hurt you also any rust or gunk between the ring and the rim must be cleaned off peferably a wire brush or a wire brush wheel that connects to a drill 👍
Thanks for the video mate

Do all valve stems need to pull the rubber part through? I just bought some but the rubber seems more like just a washer
+Tanner Matthews There are 2 types: the style I show in the video and others that need to be slide through the inside and then bolted down through the rim.
If we do the same job on a valve stem on a car, do we need to align the wheels?
Thanks for the video!
Nope.
Awesome good video
Gerry Reed Thanks Man.
Is the valve stem part of the rim? I keep getting slow leaks on valve stem and I've changed tires twice already
It's separate and can easily be changed.
Thx man!
Thanks for watching.
Perfect - thanks
Thanks for watching.
Never inflate a tire laying flat on the ground like that. Hold it upright or place it in a gage or on top of tire changer. When the beads seat when on the ground like you had it, it can send the tire into your face or into the ceiling if in a building.
That's old split rims.
can you use the tires if you removed the valve cores, or would it get flat?
+Wonderful removing a valve core almost instantly lets all the air out. And if you do it with a lot of air it can shoot the core into space. ;P
adam & alex just tubed my tires on the tractor
Thx!
Clean the valve stem hole and apply bead sealant before installing the valve stem. This will prevent future leaks.
Thank You die the video
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
