You are a LIFE SAVER. I broke the valve on my rear tyre, and was really dreading having to get it to the mechanic. But I was able to do it myself, without taking the tyre off. Thanl you so much!😍
One day I will ship my own 1981 Vespa Px to this guy in the USA from Italy just to take care of her.
Great video! Two notes for people trying this at home:
1.) I used the short stem, which doesn't have as much room to latch onto when you pull it through. I left the stem cap on for protection, put a piece of cloth around it, and then leveraged it through with needle-nosed pliers.
2.) I was able to set the tire bead with the small air compressor shown in the video, just by setting the PSI and filling up as normal. It cost ~$70 when i bought it.
Also, after market stem caps are dope
Vielen Dank für die sehr gute Anleitung!

Thank you for making this video and the method of renewing a valve stem.
Great stuff 👍
El señor Robot always helping us thank you
Very helpful, thanks!
good one. thanks
Thank u sir!!
I purchased a cheap tire for the rear on my Buddy 125. It is smaller in diameter than the Michelin I took off. The first week I had it, I ran over a piece of glass. First flat in my 73 years of life from glass. I did a Mickey Mouse repair with the plugs u insert and pull back thru. It has been ok. Soon I will order a Michelin and replace it. I think the Michelin is a much more rugged tire.
I'm a fan of the Michelin Pilot Road series of tires, but got the City Grip 2 tires for my Vespa. You're right they're rugged!
@@GunNut37086 Thank u for your input!! Much appreciated!!
I've seen a car stem replaced using a tool that has a tapered hole in it that compressed the bulb end of the stem so it will fit through the rim hole. The bulb end stayed inside as it was cut off.
4:41 bruhhh nicked that paint
Will the 90 degree valve stem really stick out that far? Why would that even cause an issue? They should always be installed away from the front brake disc and vast majority of scooter have one disc.
Hurrah!
I wish there was someone like Robot doing Honda scooters.
My belt snapped at 40,000 miles having been changed at 32000, when the service interval is 16000 miles.
So half the service interval, the service centre explanation is, as the bike gets older, the belt doesn't last as long.
Or I said it broke at 24,000.
