Just had my surgery exactly 1 week ago from today. It went really well. Working out and being healthy before going into surgery has made the recovery a lot easier than I thought it would be. For me the 3-5 days were the worst because of the liquid only diet. Once I started eating soft foods my progress went up exponentially. Definitely challenging but after only 1 week I have no regrets. I’ve been walking for about an hour a day in my backyard and listening to bible sermons on anxiety and invited my friends over so I can talk to them. That’s really important

I am officially 7 weeks post-op today from my double jaw surgery! Thank you Jair for the amazing series of videos from your jaw surgery experience. It truly is what has gotten me through the whole procedure mentally and physically. I am really excited to see what I will look like a year from now. :)
I’m 3/4 days post op rn and it’s been really difficult trying to sleep more than anything else..anyone else have a really hard time trying to sleep during recovery?? I’m really swollen and i just cannot sleep even though I’m so exhausted. I’m just trying to push through these first two weeks as they’re the hardest, watching your jaw surgery vids jair has been such a huge comfort through this time thank you so much :,))

I just went to a consultation with an Ortho and she recommended this surgery. It is a lot to take in since I was just expecting to do Invisalign and be done.
I'm not afraid about the surgery, i'm afraid that i won't trust people anymore after my surgery. I'm afraid that people talk to me more because i'm pretty now, or that men are attracted to me because now i'm pretty.
Thanks for making these videos about it! Your face and jaw look great! Recovery is so much work, but also so worth it. I'm going in for double jaw surgery a week from today, so I'm mentally preparing for recovery and excited and hoping I have a fantastic result like yours!
I'm on week 5 since my surgery. Definitely totally worth it. I'm 39 so my recovery process has been slow but I can't wait for the final results.

I’m 5 days post op, and I feel drained. My face is swollen to the max and it burns nearly all the time. 🥲 I can’t wait for the results though!

I just passed 6 months post-op and I’m still numb in my lower lip and chin which is a bit scary 😧. Thanks for documenting your jaw surgery process I watched them before having my surgery done and now again 😅
I’m getting this surgery in 6 days and your videos were immensely helpful in learning about this procedure when I first committed to getting it done. I hope I have a relatively smooth recovery like yours, but wanted you to know just how much you’ve helped me!
Great videos, this really helped me. I had mine double jaw surgery done 5 days ago. While scared I was excited to get it done. As soon as I woke up I could breath out of my nose like never before. I’d recommend eating as much as possible to anyone getting this done and also getting multiple good ice packs. It’s worth it.
Day 6 after jaw surgery with a upper jaw palette and genioplasty. Swelling went down so that's good, I stopped coughing up blood, drinking is still a hassle but I don't mind. My main con is this nerve at the back of my head being very sensitive and preventing me from moving much. Just called the jaw surgeon and said to swallow some liquid pain meds. Besides that, I'm looking forward to seeing the end results!
