Where else should I visit in Italy?
Go to the Turin Derby
Bologna,good friend Sam!!!🏋♂️
Bari (they have a big beautiful staidum desipte playing in Serie B or C, built for Italia 90 I think) or Como (Partly owned by Fabregas). I think the actors name is Jesse Taylor Ferguson
Have you watched the ‘Derby days’ channel? Their video on the Bergamo derby was incredible!
A real insight into local football culture and culture in general.
So Atlanta and Bresica would be worth looking at?
Also como
Worth watching that video though. Apologies for plugging another channel but they are good.
They go into all the socio economic aspects of the region around Milan.
Napoli
The atmosphere in Italian football is just incredible
First time I agree with a skate
Considera anche che in Italia la repressione verso i tifosi (ultras) è ai massimi livelli
La Polizia italiana, sta facendo quello che l’Inghilterra ha fatto con gli Hooligans, eliminarli.
How? Stadiums are not even 50% filled. We have better atmosphere in germany 4th tier
@@dickelatics5928 in italy there are a lot of repression on ultras groups
glad that you're willing to give the lesser known clubs attention too. just goes to show how much you truly love the sport
I love the teams that are a bit more unknown
@@FootyAdventures that's why I love your channel man. You don't just cover the big guys
Hi, at 6:06 that is The Duomo di Monza. The famous Iron Crown is kept in the Cathedral, used for centuries for the coronation of the Kings of Italy and Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire including Frederick Barbarossa and Charlemagne, which, according to tradition, contains one of the nails used for the crucifixion of Christ
For a person that live in Monza (just a few meters from the stadium) and as a football fan, it was really cool to see this video! I also liked very much your exploration of Monza, is so cool to observe my city from the prospective of a tourist and I'm always very happy about your love of the city. Thank you for coming in this beautiful city, come back every time you want!
Soprattutto perché di turisti non ne abbiamo praticamente ahah
Hi, I'm thinking of going to Monza in a month or 2, massive football and f1 fan. Would you recommend I buy match tickets online or at the stadium, looking to spend as little as possible but the websites a little confusing.
@@Xalmaa depends from the game. Big matches (Napoli, Lazio and Roma maybe. Cause Inter, Milan and Juve we already played them) are usually sold out in the most convenient spots. In that case better buy online. Otherwise you can easily buy them on match day.
(Forget about the south stand, it's sold out, only people with annual subscription can enter).
Edit: if you also love racing 22-23 there's an international event with an Endurance race (3h) at the Autodromo.. Prices are usually affordable in those kind of events.
@@itaca4861 Thanks man that's super helpful! I'll check out the endurance race but I also saw online that they do a track tour. Have you been and if so is it good?
@@itaca4861 why Stadium is empty although capacity is less any reason?
from a a Monza fan thank you for showing our stadium and our ultras, we are usually overshadowed by the big teams of milan so it's great to receive recognition and compliments🔥👍

Hi! The train ticket confusion is very common in Italy, so don't worry! You were moving from Milano to Monza, which is in the same region and, therefore, you needed a Trenord ticket. Trenitalia and Italo only serve the out of region destinations. Monza is not covered by the high velocity trains. I live in Vicenza and if I wanted to go to Venice on a Frecciarossa, which is a high velocity train, I could, because there is a high velocity railroad connecting Vicenza and Venice. But why would I? Regional trains are slower, but cost way less and they carry you to the same destination!
Usare Italo per farsi Milano-Monza è come noleggiare un jet privato per farsi New York-Albany 😂
It isnt lol. Just Gotta read and go to normal ticket machine not the fancy eyecatching high speed long distance train machine ..
Your next Italian trip should be either Palermo (the pride of Sicily with a huge fan base) or Bari, another well supported club in Serie B with promotion potential. 👌 Almost forgot about Genoa, Italy's oldest club.
Has to talk about that palaermo team with lafferty dybala and belotti
You just talked about 3 clubs i really like👌🏻
Bari is a wonderful city he should go thete
Soliti terroni, vieni a torino almeno vede dei trofei
And Sampdoria, the real team in Genova 💙🤍❤️🖤🤍💙
Living in Monza and seeing him be so excited for things i always see is a good feeling
From Ireland went to see Inter v Porto in chp couple weeks ago, flight 58e, 1 night airbnb beside San Siro 60e & match tk 70e. Amazing atmosphere, best stadium in Italy
naaah you never been in Rome or Naples
Great video mate - yes, Monza is the home of F1 Racing in Italy - great racetrack.
In fact for most people around the world, the city is more famous for its racetrack rather than its football club
Definitely, the F1 race track is historic, in fact it is considered the most exciting one among top racing professionals. This is just the second year that Monza football team is in Serie A.
@@lilise3965 no no, this is the 1st year ever in Serie A, after 120 years! In fact until last year one of the chants of Monza supporters was "We will never go to Serie A"
My first Italian match was also in Monza, last season in Serie B. The day after we went to San Siro to see AC Milan. Really great atmosphere! Our trip was about the same price (NL-It by train, about €100 return for me and my 12 year old son), but the stay was a lot cheaper, in Monza it cost us €180 for 3 nights.
Very nice video. Italy is an amazing football experience. Regarding Monza, until last season they were the team with most seasons in Serie B without ever getting promoted to Serie A. That's changed now of course and they're having quite a good season having done the double over Juventus (1-0 home and 2-0 away).
People here in Monza don't even know this lol, thanks for pointing out
And then Silvio came...

You should definitely try to see a Genoa match in Luigi Ferraris stadium. It's the oldest team in Italy and both atmosphere and city are unreal. Thank u for your content :3
Forza Monza! Glad you had a nice experience at our stadium and our town! The atmosphere is always like that. Supporters are quite calm, although still passionate here. Very little violence and that's why I always take my son with me. You can see lots of children at the matches. Prices are fairly high I have to admit.
Love Italy 🇮🇹 for ⚽️. Unique rugged stadiums and even the smallest group of ultras create great atmospheres 📣👏 💚 ❤
Hi, I'm Italian and just casually stumbled into this video and discovered your channel. I loved your enthusiasm in portraying all the details and places that caught your eyes and Monza looks really nice and unusual, less touristy and more exciting to visit for a foreigner. Also loved to see the perspective from the stadium, great job, keep up!! 🥰🤗
Mate you got me excited after this video, Im very glad that you come to Monza and liked our city. P.S. if you want come back you are my guest!
Love how you show the amazing architecture and culture of the places you visit sam, top man!!!
Never mind Italy, get yourself along to East End Park on Tuesday, over 8100 tickets sold already. Dunfermline v Failkirk 1st v 2nd defiantly one not to be missed.
FYI Garibaldi is our national hero who nified italy in late 19th century. Fun fact, he was praised a hero in UK too where he used to have lots of fans. He then went to UK on a boat he arrived in Southampton and there were 500 thousand people
Dude I live in Monza and I was there on the home stands! Actually I’m kinda proud of you visting our town. Serie A put Monza on the map probably more than F1. Glad you enjoyed hangin out here.
The video is cool keep up with the great job! You earnd a subscriber
Great content. Something special about these smaller clubs, love it
Hi Sam, so glad you finally made it to Italy to watch and vlog a football match. Looking forward to your vlogs on Inter and Milan.
Great video Sam, looking forward to more videos coming soon
That was a great watch! As someone who lives near Monza, it's very rare to see travel content filmed here, as well as tourists in general. Despite its proximity to Milan and both well known sights and hidden gems that are worth discovering. Besides, it's great to see the club garner some international attention. The atmosphere and crowd would have been on another level for a bigger game, but so would have the prices tbh.
Great video as always. Italy looks beautiful
Glad i found your video , actually experienced in Monza watching them play was magnificent, i went twice and enjoyed so much
Forza italia! Great video
just came across your channel and i wasn't expecting you to visit my hometown! glad you enjoyed it and forza milan (and monza) ❤
Great video thanks, been a juve supporter since 1990 so would love to do this. Some of the newer Serie A teams have some gorgeous stadiums, like this one, Spezia, Como etc look forward to more videos
Great video I really enjoy them 💪 the small clubs are good to football and I love the old stadiums. Keep doing videos respect to you from Denmark 😉🇩🇰
Next Target - 200K. Can't wait until that...
Doing my own Serie A adventure next weekend with games at Juventus and AC Milan. This video got me hyped for that trip!
I Will be in San Siro for AC Milan vs Salernitana too!
Juventus ultras are in trouble with the society and the don't enter in the Stadium. You'll not listen chants. The are only normal fans
@@ordina3010 Enjoy it. Hope it's a good game for both of us 😃 Can't wait to finally see the San Siro
Love it! I visited Milan just two weeks ago to go to the San Siro for Inter v Udinese, and then instead of Monza I went to Bergamo the next day for Atalanta v Lecce. Also a fantastic city, highly recommended!
This video was actually very helpful for the Italian trains! I'm interrailing this year hopefully from Switzerland to Italy so thank you Sam for this video! An enjoyable and helpful video 😂👏
Then i recommend you to buy tickets on line, it is much easier. You do not need to print them! Just show them on your cell.
Bro I’m italian and I’m an Inter supporter. I recommend you to see Inter vs Juventus in March or in April at the Coppa Italia match. This match is known as “Derby of Italy” and the atmosphere is incredible
Love Italy, from Rome, but Italian footy matches all together has electric atmosphere!
I couldn't believe how great the atmosphere was. A half full stadium with open stands yet still a great atmosphere
Thank you for beeing in Monza and for your amazing video about the town and the match. Please come back again and come with us in Curva Davide Pieri
Wow!!!You are in Italy, good friend Sam?That is extremely so fantastic and I fully hope you have enjoyed your journey there, good friend!!!🏋♂️
Another good video mate, you looked the part with the sunglasses in the thumbnail 😁all the best 🏴👍
Big pleasure watching your video, and to see you appreciating our city and stadium atmosphere. Next time you are welcome to come for the formula 1 race!
Bologna, Renato Dall'Ara Stadium, lovely ground! Or even Como, lovely place, even though the stadium is falling to pieces
Videos are brilliant mate. One of the best about
Incredible camera work at 16:20 getting fans up close in the fore and far at the back, makes for very interesting viewing.
2.60 for a day's train journey is well cheap. It goes to show how far we are behind in our ( the UK ) travel services, especially as rail fares go up again today.
Swings and roundabouts- no tax free amount on earnings.
Yes definitely a Swiss matchday vlog!
Wow man that's amazing! I was actually there with my friends who support empoli.
Being so close to ultras was great.
Great vid btw
First video of yours I’ve watched and really enjoyed it!! If you are ever in Canada there are both clubs big and small that would be fun to see you explore ❤️⚽️ cheers
I wish you were here in Florence yesterday, the game and the atmosphere were amazing!
Thanks for the videos! U are a such a Legend! Now U just need France, so U have done The Football Five (Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England).
Yet ANOTHER top class video! I’m thinking on travelling around the world to see different football matches but I have no experience whatsoever of going abroad. Do you do all your trips solo? I don’t know anyone who would be willing to go around the world watching matches so I would have to do it myself. Just curious to see if that’s what you do?
This so cool Nice video I really enjoy these
Really upping your game here Sam ✔️
Cheers Bobby, a few more Italian videos to come!!
Great vid Sam, love some Italian content.Great to see the Penicuik Hearts sticker as I lived in Milton Bridge, near Penicuik, until a year ago. I now live close to the Hibs training ground in East Lothian!
There's a football ground in Sempione Park near the Milan castle. Inter used to play there long ago. Well worth a visit if you have time!!!
Very nice video from Italy 💚🤍❤! You were finally there. Hopefully not for the last time. A video from Naples would be nice - everything about the Mythso Maradona. Which laptop do you use to edit your videos on the go?
"Watching super Monza, putting on a show", love that! 😆
You never fail to surprise us, Sam..🤣
5:57 that orange is actually the school i go to. Really hope you enjoyed your stay❤
Fantastic video Sam looks great!
Thanks mate!!
2:24 Garibaldi is an important part of the italian reunification just so you know.
Bellissimo video. Sei un grande intrattenitore
Hele leuke vlog 👍 groedjes familie maijers 👍
Loved seeing the floating empty can of Tennents Super Lager. It reminded me of seeing them in bottles in a wee shop just outside of Rome. Who needs Peroni !
l love Italy but have never been to Milan since a child l have had favourite clubs in lots of countries in ltaly its Venezia FC seen the ground but that's all, Anyway great post and love the way you show historic parts parts of Monza , Ypu must be tired after that walking but good on you ,very interesting. By the way enjoy the warmth it's freezing here in North Yorkshire
Nice vid! Next time you should go to Sweden when Allsvenskan starts. It’s a hidden gem in the football world with no VAR and some amazing supporters
Yeaah I've waited this since I've discovered your channell
3:29 absolutely howled at that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very good video man! It just blew me away to hear that out of all those countries, you'd never been in Italy to watch a football match!!!
However, it's never too late for most of the things we do in our lives, and in this case, it seems to me that it truly "paid off" to wait and then go to Italy, cuz it's truly not just a football nation with most passionate football supporters (by the way, the fact that this 22K capacity stadium - not 15K - isn't full, shouldn't be a huge surprise. Till that season, when you're making the video, they haven't been even close to Serie B for like half a century, and all of a sudden, in a period of 3 years, since the take over by Berlusconi, from Serie C to Serie A, from 300 ppl on average, attending a matchday, nowadays, in the season 2023/24 has skyrocketed in this period of 3 years or so, to around 14K! Don't forget that after not playing in Serie A for 50 years, the vast majority of ppl in Monza were (many, still are) supporters of either Milan, or Inter! So, it'll take them a few years more, to regroup and start filling their own stadium (for which is said, it'll be renovated) and support only Monza!
Glad to have watched this video
You should absolutely come to Genoa, and see the supporters of Genoa and Sampdoria, they are the best in Italy
I am actually from Monza! great video
Was at AC v Atalanta last week, atmosphere was amazing.
Brilliant my brother 💙👍🏻⚽
thanks for all the beautiful speachees about Monza ❤❤❤
speeches
Another great vlog
you are such a lovely bloke , love your videos mate
Lecce, you will come in Lecce. South East Italy. The atmosfere is incredible !
Monza are playing Serie A calcio for the 1st time in their history. It is more than laudable what they are doing and beat some big teams including Juventus.
I like them.
Grande!!!! Forza monza sempre ❤
The pitch was beautifully maintained
I just found your channel. I was at monza lazio 4 weeks after this video. Amazing weekend. Did inter on the satcand monza on the Sunday. Flight return from Dublin, 2 nights hotel in Milan and match tickets cost 250 quid
This is why footy adventures is 🐐 showing us stadiums we would never normally see
Great vid! The guy out of modern family who you look like is mitchell!😁
Fantastic video, you should watch a Genoa's match in the evening.
Even if we play in Serie B we have incredibile fans
We went to ours the day aswell san siro , inter v leece wow what an experience
Come to see Sampdoria, an incredible love despite an incredible bad situation 💙🤍❤️🖤🤍💙
You need to visit Lecce, via del Mare stadium, 20k annual membership this season..the atmosphere and the support from the curva is just unbelievable
Ancona also has a huge ultras support, I believe they're in Serie C but they've been twice in Serie A, and once got to the final of Coppa Italia but lost against Sampdoria with the legendary Vialli and Mancini...
Welcome to Italy. We trust you enjoyed your first Serie A experience. Monza is spectacular but wait until you get to the lower leagues for Parma, Bari, Genoa, Calabria and Palermo!
Love that city Monza..👍
Thank you very much for visiting my hometown. This year is our first time in Serie A!
Come to Florence to see Fiorentina....
Magnificent city, incredible food and beatiful atmosphere for a city who love the team 💜.
Forza Viola
I'm sure people have told you already, but the monument in Monza you were looking at is to commemorate those who died while working and it's from 1954: it reads which means and the sweat turned into blood.
If u had timed it slightly better u could have gone to see the derby in Rome that happened just last weekend. Truly amazing atmosphere. Big up from a Roma supporter:)
Really good great team good value all round
You do kinda look like the character mitch from modern family lol. Great video 👊
Cool, you visited my city, happy you liked it
Like as Monza habitand i Say thank you for the respect you bring here
The "cog" monument near the station is actually dedicated to work related fatalities.
Did you actually walk from the train station to the park and then all the way to the stadium? That's a good 7-8 km trek.
