wtf is that supposed to mean? He praises crossfit in this video and points out that its dangerous. He is a weightlifting legend and he does a lot of lifting similar to crossfit training next to his normal routine
Because he's getting paid to endorse it. He didn't get to become a world champion by doing cross shit workouts. Like I said, he's making videos like these because it's a source of income after his retirement from the professional stage.
You guys will find anyway to be negative. You think he needs the money so bad he'll just indorse it for the money. I guess if it makes you feel better about your hate.
TABATA training has been around WAY longer than Crossfit. Dimitri is a world class weightlifter extremely proficient in Olympic Lifting. He is combining the two, lifting weights WAY lighter than his maximums but instead maxing out in intensity to concentrate in 'cardiovascular' training, as he puts it. Maybe the reference to Crossfit is a bit misleading but I guess these days any high intensity training with Olympic lifting elements is tagged as 'crossfit'. Truth is, crossfit is getting undeserved props as this is next level stuff done by a PROPER athlete,. Not ONE shit, forced rep here. Yes he is training at near max intensity but he's truly good enough to maintain good form. he is not going to jeopardise himself and his true calling (world class Olympic Weightlifter) for a few more reps done with crap form!!! Respect......
Had to smile at the jump squats. I did those nearly 30 years ago (and with the same weight) and everybody told me not to do it (because of knees, of course). Now I see a LEGEND do the same thing... :-)
The whole video shows that this guy is way over limits but because he is an weight lifter I didn't expect This 3:20 at all. Dmitry Klokov you're real inspiration to me keep doing well
On the Klokov Press my advice to the audience..........when you descend lower the bar slowly and or give with the legs. He has the experience and the musculature to let the bar drop on his back like that. I hope he would even consider slowing it down. I am a 52 year old former collegiate athlete and my life as an enthused lifter was halted because I was careless one day when I was 21 years old. I did a warm-up set of 10 reps with 185 lbs on the box squat. I did the set too fast because it was easy and I got overconfident. As a result I got a spine compression injury on my right side from time to time affecting the sciatic nerve. Everything from chiropractor to accupuncture did not work long term. I had to resort to a bag of tricks including sleeping on the floor some. When I go over speed bumps I have to tighten my abs so I won't feel my back. I am affected to this day and lost something I was passionate about because I was careless. I am communicating this to y'all so hopefully you will not take take anything for granted and use good safe technique. God bless
Смотрел и охреневал от этого кроссфита, но когда в конце Дмитрий стал делать выпрыгивание со штангой, просто нет слов- what it's is this?! This is human? Machines? Superman!!!💪👏
Jokk3asd Dangerous meaning is if you're not careful with how you land the bar, the grains in the middle of the barbell could seriously scrape off some skin or worse, the bar hits the bone directly instead of landing on soft trapezius tissue where the muscle is supposed to be cushion
Huge? Nigga if that's your definition of huge then I don't think you're gonna make it. I'm 18 years old which means my natural muscle development isn't even fucking done yet and I've still got traps that size. He does have fantastic delts though.
key hi That may be so but I'm comparing myself to a Crosshitter not a world class athlete. And I wasn't really comparing, all I said was his traps are small
+Fernando Villa his 1 RM Bench is 230kg, 1RM deadlift is 335kg, 1RM back Squat is 325kg....... ive seen him pause front squat 250kg.. he is a beast and humble too ahah
All of us think about dreams. That's good. But demand maximum. For example when I train I believeed for the future I will be Olympic champion. But my maximum was silver. Demand the impossible maximum result is what i mean. -Klokov
If it wasn't because of the kipping pull-ups and other moves like that , crossfit would've been (really) THE best type of fitness training balancing all aspects of the power sports . This man really made me love crossfit
I think its a great idea. You've got some of everything, weights, cardio, calisthenics, isometrics, sprints. The biggest issue is I think it expanded way to quickly, too many times I've seen dudes being coaches with only a couple years of training experience. If they were stricter with coach training and quality control I think they'd be way more popular.
+Pulits Those are totaly differents sports, he does powerlifting, crossfit is something else. Would you say "Well, tennismen, look at him, he's a real athlete" ?
+Lisai Yin He doesn't have the engine for it. He is much stronger than the strongest games athletes but he cant keep up with them in any endurance work.
I actually wonder about that. There is no doubt that he is a world class athlete but when you consider that he was a silver medalist with the Russian Olympic team, you have to assume that he has been training in his current discipline for most of his life. While we look at him and see a physical freak, I wonder if he really could convert from an explosive strength athlete to one who is a hybrid of strength and endurance.
This is fascinating. I have to do Tabata pushups tomorrow in my Crossfit class. I watched this, but I still don't know how to do tabata pushups, but I would like to be able to do all thie things that he can do. If he can do it, then I can do it. It's just a matter of training every day.
I love this man. No damn crossfit belt, knee pads, head band. Just pure unadulterated human specimen. This is my goal. I see all these weightlifters and crossfitters gowning up like it's a damn wedding. I'm thinking to myself, is there anyone out there without all these accessories just keeping it simple stupid (KISS) and now I've found that answer. I was on the fence for these belts but something didn't feel right about it. Klovkov clarifies everything.
I do crossfit every day and I don't wear a belt. I just wear a lot of sweat bands because I perspire a lot. I usually leave Lake Erie in my spot on the gym floor.

It literally is cardio. low rest sets are far better than being on a treadmill for an hour
I like how he puts on being tired at the end, just for us mere mortals
Its 2021 now and this is still the most impressive tabata video I’ve seen so far.
Nice to see someone uploading my routine, I do this three times a day.
i do it every hour!
and I do it every min.
mic9check and I never stop
And you’re all gay.
and I never started.
His english has improved MASSIVELY
He gets his strength simply from his accent! This guy is a monster!
Thank you for making me feel utterly weak, Klokov. You are impressively strong.
This is freaking amazing. WTF, 143kg thrusters???
he's a pro athlete and an olympic medalist. it's amazing though
+o--Kane101--o Check out the 225 kg push press of his, that was impressive
Mate - the dude is an animal...
kane101, YEAH RIGHT?!
There is footage of him doing a 191kg thruster
Most impressive athlete and power machine I have ever seen... Complete inspirational athlete.
Thrusters in the 7th round with 315lbs is just insane. He could be the personafied end boss in every american video game.
This is like a hardcore version of CrossFit holy crap. Everything is like 10x heavier.
yeah., and he did'nt get this way doing crapfat !

Testosterone once tested positive for Dmitry Klokov.
Dimitry klokov the best
Of course he uses roids, but u know
@@molinamusic5110 He does not look like he uses roids. He trains since he was 15. That definitely is achievable!

man he's BEAST by all meanings...his training is so sick!!!
Of course there's a shoulder press variation named after Klokov. And of course it ends up as the most dangerous version.

that klokov press was one of the most impressive things I've seen all year
Once i saw him do 157 kg strict press, he said he was weak at the time
he's done 180 before
+Jack Dowd he's done 225kg even :P
Paul Bonnema that was push press, 226 is the most he has push pressed

2:25 I thought he was about to back squat.lol.
And he just lets it fall on his neck
Fuck squatting it. I'll just behind neck press it hhahahah
Same! I was thinking, "Hey, I could do 20 sec of 225# Backsquats too!" and then... not so much.
We have klokov squat and now klokov press. Nice
143kg thrusters!!! I was super proud of myself when I got to 40 kg :D
What an amazing human being ..., to do what he just did is outrageously fit and strong . Seriously he’s superhuman.
Yea it's not only his strength that is absolutely impressive, but also his cardiovascular system.
I think we better call this power crossfit
His channel is called "crosslifting" for a reason)

Really Amazing to watch Dmitry.... Crazy unhuman workout I have ever seen. Amazing!
