Ppl elite at CrossFit keep up a pace for hours. That ppl who are in great shape can only keep up with for 10 minutes that's how crazy it is

I do similar circuits like this for my evening cardio sessions, today is 15 power cleans 95lbs, 10 front squats 95lbs, 20 jumping jacks, 7 rounds unbroken, I do a 3 day split of push/pull/legs strength training in the mornings, today was a leg day, rest tomorrow then 2 days of full body training, then a rest day, I'm in the best shape of my life, mixing hypertrophy and CrossFit training
@@MuayThaiTherapy I wish I were motivated to try Crossfit but I'm not. I'm one of those people that need to be pushed. Also, in NYC, it seems that every exercise class cost $20 - $30 an hour. I get it. Businesses have rent to pay but I can't afford this much money every day and, being a former competitive swimmer and waterpolo player, I know how much time is required to get proficient at something. 1 hour a day isn't enough.
@@davidhunternyc1 may I make a suggestion. First find what you enjoy. Then build from that. For me Muay Thai is my passion and from there I run and lift weights. But all stems from my Muay Thai which class unlimited for me in Cali cost me $105 a month, if you look hard enough for something, you will find it. Ask for help, ask around. People are willing to help you.

You can join a gym here for fairly cheap but if you want to join classes it's expensive. I tried yoga once. It was $30 for an hour and it was really only 45 minutes. Absolutely stupidly expensive so I did not go back. You were packed in like sardines too. It's insane how much money it costs to join classes of any kind here. Of course it's Covid so everything is closed but I'm looking into getting into beginner rowing classes on the Hudson River once it gets warmer. Indoor rowing classes aren't an option because I would have to travel on the subway for an hour to get there. Ugh, I keep looking. My friend is trying to convince me to try yoga again in front of my TV. I'll try that. I've got to do something. Covid has destroyed my motivation to do anything. The last time I saw someone was on the 4th of July.

@@callsofscv nonsense. a WR attempt is planned after months of peaking, and occurs in a state of almost no fatigue - just the warmup provided by previous attempts, and reasonably long rests in between - especially if there is another competitor in between second and third attempts. Olympic lifts were never meant to be a race. that is a very dumb way to do anything.

First off, you can absolutely make the lifts a race and it really is no different than someone sprinting/running various distances against each other in a race. Obviously lifting for repetitions and lifting for max load are different events. High load CnJ after a fatiguing enduro workout is NO BUENO Oh, i trained CF 3-4 days a week for nearly 7 years.
Tried crossfit once... Never had lower back trouble with any other sport. Once my lower back started to twinge I was out... Pity them in a couple of years
My whole issue is they have no control it’s all momentum based I feel it’d be more impressive with controlled movements. More specifically the toes to bar
100% agree. So many CrossFit exercises are momentum based. Throwing form out the window. If they used proper form they wouldn’t be able to do half of what they actually do. But then again, that’s what CrossFit is: lift as much weight as you can as many times is your can in the quickest amount of time possible. Doesn’t matter how you move it or get it up. Personally, it makes no sense to me. Proper form is so so very crucial. Their bodies will be done by time their 40. Enjoy the rest of life struggling to function.

The people that go to your gym in their 40s, 50s & 60s are irrelevant to my previous comment. CrossFit is extremely new. It hasn’t been around long enough to see the long term, permanent effects that it leaves on the human body after one retires from doing it for 30+ years. Take a good look at the struggles that a lot of retired pro bodybuilders have with their bodies. It’s pretty crazy. And those people are ones who understand that form builds muscle and understand how to properly do things to avoid injury. I know exactly what I’m talking about and I’m not wrong.

I am also a huge fan of Rich, whom I also know personally. Mat reign as individual will be, for sure, much longer than Rich's. And Rich's dominance on the field (points-wise) could never match Mat. However, if you started CrossFit more than 9 years, you should know that what Rich brought to the sport is still unrivaled. A guy, who never had a coach, with no professional sport background, who had an understanding of the sport, that still today remains unmatched and an emphatic connection to the community that is unrivaled. Mat comes from professional WL, did gymnastics in his early years, and was surrounded, since 2013, by professional coaches that improved his games enourmously. Two different GOATS. Both great, both different.

@@ROCKSWOT Not at all a baby. 2 years living in the WL Olympic Center doesn't make Mat a baby by the time he started CrossFit.
I am a huge fan of Mat and know him personally. I am also a huge fan of Rich, whom I also know personally.
Mat reign as individual will be, for sure, much longer than Rich's. And Rich's dominance on the field (points-wise) could never match Mat.
However, if you started CrossFit more than 9 years, you should know that what Rich brought to the sport is still unrivaled. A guy, who never had a coach, with no professional sport background, who had an understanding of the sport, that still today remains unmatched and an emphatic connection to the community that is unrivaled.
Mat comes from professional WL, did gymnastics in his early years, and was surrounded, since 2013, by professional coaches that improved his games enourmously.
